ഉല്പത്തി 2:24
അതുകൊണ്ടു പുരുഷൻ അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും വിട്ടുപിരിഞ്ഞു ഭാര്യയോടു പറ്റിച്ചേരും; അവർ ഏക ദേഹമായി തീരും.

	עַל	ʿal	al
Therefore	כֵּן֙	kēn	kane
shall a man	יַֽעֲזָב	yaʿăzob	YA-uh-zove
leave	אִ֔ישׁ	ʾîš	eesh
	אֶת	ʾet	et
his father	אָבִ֖יו	ʾābîw	ah-VEEOO
and his mother,	וְאֶת	wĕʾet	veh-ET
cleave shall and	אִמּ֑וֹ	ʾimmô	EE-moh
unto his wife:	וְדָבַ֣ק	wĕdābaq	veh-da-VAHK
be shall they and	בְּאִשְׁתּ֔וֹ	bĕʾištô	beh-eesh-TOH
one	וְהָי֖וּ	wĕhāyû	veh-ha-YOO
flesh.	לְבָשָׂ֥ר	lĕbāśār	leh-va-SAHR
	אֶחָֽד׃	ʾeḥād	eh-HAHD
