2 Samuel 17 - BBE (Malayalam)

1 Then Ahithophel said to Absalom, Let me take out twelve thousand men and this very night I will go after David:അനന്തരം അഹീഥോഫെൽ അബ്ശാലോമിനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ഞാൻ പന്തീരായിരം പേരെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ഇന്നു രാത്രി തന്നേ ദാവീദിനെ പിന്തുടരട്ടെ.

2 And I will come up with him when he is tired and feeble, and make him full of fear: and all the people with him will go in flight; and I will make an attack on the king only:ക്ഷീണിച്ചും അധൈര്യപ്പെട്ടും ഇരിക്കുന്ന അവനെ ഞാൻ ആക്രമിച്ചു ഭ്രമിപ്പിക്കും; അപ്പോൾ അവനോടുകൂടെയുള്ള ജനമൊക്കെയും ഓടിപ്പോകും; ഞാൻ രാജാവിനെ മാത്രം വെട്ടിക്കളയും.

3 And I will make all the people come back to you as a bride comes back to her husband: it is the life of only one man you are going after; so all the people will be at peace.പിന്നെ ഞാൻ സകലജനത്തെയും നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ മടക്കിവരുത്തും; നീ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ എല്ലാവരും മടങ്ങിവരുമ്പോൾ സകലജനവും സമാധാനത്തോടെ ഇരിക്കും.

4 And the saying was pleasing to Absalom and to the responsible men of Israel.ഈ വാക്കു അബ്ശാലോമിന്നും യിസ്രായേൽമൂപ്പന്മാർക്കൊക്കെയും വളരെ ബോധിച്ചു.

5 Then Absalom said, Now send for Hushai the Archite, and let us give ear to what he has to say.എന്നാൽ അബ്ശാലോം: അർഖ്യനായ ഹൂശായിയെ വിളിക്ക; അവന്റെ അഭിപ്രായവും കേൾക്കാമല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

6 And when Hushai came, Absalom said to him, This is what Ahithophel has said: are we to do as he says? if not, what is your suggestion?ഹൂശായി അബ്ശാലോമിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നപ്പോൾ അബ്ശാലോം അവനോടു: ഇന്നിന്നപ്രാകരം അഹീഥോഫെൽ പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ നാം ചെയ്കയോ? അല്ലെങ്കിൽ നീ പറക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

7 And Hushai said to Absalom, Ahithophel's idea is not a good one at this time.ഹൂശായി അബ്ശാലോമിനോടു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ: അഹീഥോഫെൽ ഈ പ്രാവശ്യം പറഞ്ഞ ആലോചന നന്നല്ല.

8 Hushai said further, You have knowledge of your father and his men, that they are men of war, and that their feelings are bitter, like those of a bear in the field whose young ones have been taken from her: and your father is a man of war, and will not take his night's rest with the people;നിന്റെ അപ്പനും അവന്റെ ആളുകളും വീരന്മാരും കാട്ടിൽ കുട്ടികൾ കവർന്നുപോയ കരടിയെപ്പോലെ ഉഗ്രമാനസന്മാരും ആകുന്നു എന്നു നീ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ. നിന്റെ അപ്പൻ യോദ്ധാവാകുന്നു. അവൻ ജനത്തോടുകൂടെ രാപാർക്കയില്ല.

9 But he will certainly have taken cover now in some hole or secret place; and if some of our people, at the first attack, are overcome, then any hearing of it will say, There is destruction among the people who are on Absalom's side.അവൻ ഇപ്പോൾ ഒരു ഗുഹയിലോ മറ്റു വല്ല സ്ഥലത്തോ ഒളിച്ചിരിക്കയായിരിക്കും; ആരംഭത്തിങ്കൽ തന്നേ ഇവരിൽ ചിലർ പട്ടുപോയാൽ അതു കേൾക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരും അബ്ശാലോമിന്റെ പക്ഷക്കാരിൽ സംഹാരമുണ്ടായി എന്നു പറയും.

10 Then even the strongest, whose heart is like the heart of a lion, will become like water; for all Israel is conscious that your father is a man of war, and those who are with him are strong and without fear.അപ്പോൾ സീംഹഹൃദയംപോലെ ഹൃദയമുള്ള ശൂരനും കൂടെ അശേഷം ഉരുകിപ്പോകും; നിന്റെ അപ്പൻ വീരനും അവനോടുകൂടെയുള്ളവർ ശൂരന്മാരും എന്നു എല്ലായിസ്രായേലും അറിയുന്നു.

11 But my suggestion is that all Israel, from Dan as far as Beer-sheba, comes together to you, a great army like the sands of the sea in number; and that you yourself go out among them.ആകയാൽ ഞാൻ പറയുന്ന ആലോചന എന്തെന്നാൽ: ദാൻമുതൽ ബേർ-ശേബവരെ കടൽക്കരയിലെ മണൽപോലെ അസംഖ്യമായിരിക്കുന്ന യിസ്രായേലൊക്കെയും നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഒന്നിച്ചു കൂടുകയും തിരുമേനി തന്നേ യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു എഴുന്നെള്ളുകയും വേണം.

12 Then we will come on him in some place, wherever he may be, falling on him as the dew comes on the earth: and of him and all the men who are with him not one will get away with his life.അവനെ കാണുന്നേടത്തു നാം അവനെ ആക്രമിച്ചു മഞ്ഞു ഭൂമിയിൽ പൊഴിയുന്നതുപോലെ അവന്റെമേൽ ചെന്നു വീഴും; പിന്നെ അവനാകട്ടെ അവനോടു കൂടെയുള്ള എല്ലാവരിലും ഒരുത്തൻ പോലും ആകട്ടെ ശേഷിക്കയില്ല.

13 And if he has gone into some town, then let all Israel take strong cords to that town, and we will have it pulled into the valley, till not one small stone is to be seen there.അവൻ ഒരു പട്ടണത്തിൽ കടന്നുകൂടി എങ്കിലോ യിസ്രായേലെല്ലാം ആ പട്ടണത്തിന്നു കയറുകെട്ടി അവിടെ ഒരു ചെറിയ കല്ലുപോലും കാണാതാകുംവരെ അതിനെ നദിയിൽ വലിച്ചിട്ടുകളയും.

14 Then Absalom and all the men of Israel said, Hushai's suggestion is better than that of Ahithophel. For it was the purpose of the Lord to make the wise designs of Ahithophel without effect, so that the Lord might send evil on Absalom.അപ്പോൾ അബ്ശാലോമും എല്ലാ യിസ്രായേല്യരും: അഹീഥോഫെലിന്റെ ആലോചനയെക്കാൾ അർഖ്യനായ ഹൂശായിയുടെ ആലോചന നല്ലതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അബ്ശാലോമിന്നു അനർത്ഥം വരേണ്ടതിന്നു അഹീഥോഫെലിന്റെ നല്ല ആലോചനയെ വ്യർത്ഥമാക്കുവാൻ യഹോവ നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരുന്നു.

15 Then Hushai said to Zadok and Abiathar, the priests, This is the suggestion made by Ahithophel to Absalom and the responsible men of Israel, and this is what I said to them.അനന്തരം ഹൂശായി പുരോഹിതന്മാരായ സാദോക്കിനോടും അബ്യാഥാരിനോടു: ഇന്നിന്നപ്രാകരം അഹീഥോഫെൽ അബ്ശാലോമിനോടും യിസ്രായേൽമൂപ്പന്മാരോടും ആലോചന പറഞ്ഞു; ഇന്നിന്നപ്രകാരം ഞാനും ആലോചന പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

16 So now send the news quickly to David, and say, Do not take your night's rest by the way across the river to the waste land, but be certain to go over; or the king and all the people with him will come to destruction.ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ വേഗത്തിൽ ആളയച്ചു: ഈ രാത്രി മരുഭൂമിയിലേക്കുള്ള കടവിങ്കൽ പാർക്കരുതു; രാജാവിന്നും കൂടെയുള്ള സകലജനത്തിന്നും നാശം വരാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഏതു വിധേനയും അക്കരെ കടന്നുപോകേണം എന്നു ദാവീദിനെ അറിയിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

17 Now Jonathan and Ahimaaz were waiting by En-rogel; and a servant-girl went from time to time and gave them news and they went with the news to King David, for it was not wise for them to let themselves be seen coming into the town.എന്നാൽ യോനാഥാനും അഹീമാസും പട്ടണത്തിൽ ചെന്നു തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ കാണിപ്പാൻ പാടില്ലാതിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ഏൻ-രോഗെലിന്നരികെ കാത്തുനില്ക്കും; ഒരു വേലക്കാരത്തി ചെന്നു അവരെ അറിയിക്കയും അവർ ചെന്നു ദാവീദ്‍രാജാവിനെ അറിയിക്കയും ചെയ്യും;

18 But a boy saw them, and gave word of it to Absalom: so the two of them went away quickly, and came to the house of a man in Bahurim who had a water-hole in his garden, and they went down into it.എന്നാൽ ഒരു ബാല്യക്കാരൻ അവരെ കണ്ടിട്ടു അബ്ശാലോമിന്നു അറിവു കൊടുത്തു. ആകയാൽ അവർ ഇരുവരും വേഗം പോയി ബഹുരീമിൽ ഒരു ആളുടെ വീട്ടിൽ കയറി; അവന്റെ മുറ്റത്തു ഒരു കിണറുണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവർ അതിൽ ഇറങ്ങി.

19 And a woman put a cover over the hole, and put crushed grain on top of it, and no one had any knowledge of it.വീട്ടുകാരത്തി മൂടുവിരി എടുത്തു കിണറ്റിന്റെ വായിന്മേൽ വിരിച്ചു അതിൽ കോതമ്പുതരി ചിക്കി; ഇങ്ങനെ കാര്യം അറിവാൻ ഇടയായില്ല.

20 And Absalom's servants came to the woman at the house and said, Where are Ahimaaz and Jonathan? And the woman said to them, They have gone from here to the stream. And after searching for them, and seeing nothing of them, they went back to Jerusalem.അബ്ശാലോമിന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർ ആ സ്ത്രീയുടെ വീട്ടിൽ വന്നു: അഹീമാസും യോനാഥാനും എവിടെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു: അവർ നീർതോടു കടന്നുപോയി എന്നു സ്ത്രീ പറഞ്ഞു അവർ അന്വേഷിച്ചിട്ടു കാണായ്കയാൽ യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

21 Then after the servants had gone away, they came up out of the water-hole and went to give King David the news; and they said, Get up and go quickly over the water, for such and such are Ahithophel's designs against you.അവർ പോയശേഷം അവർ കിണറ്റിൽ നിന്നു കയറിച്ചെന്നു ദാവീദ്‍രാജാവിനെ അറിയിച്ചു: നിങ്ങൾ എഴുന്നേറ്റു വേഗം നദികടന്നു പോകുവിൻ; ഇന്നിന്നപ്രാകരം അഹീഥോഫെൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു വിരോധമായിട്ടു ആലോചന പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

22 So David and all the people who were with him went up over Jordan: when dawn came, every one of them had gone over Jordan.ഉടനെ ദാവീദും കൂടെയുള്ള ജനമൊക്കെയും എഴുന്നേറ്റു യോർദ്ദാൻ കടന്നു; നേരം വെളുക്കുമ്പോഴെക്കു യോർദ്ദാൻ കടക്കാതെ ഒരുത്തൻ പോലും ശേഷിച്ചില്ല.

23 Now when Ahithophel saw that his suggestion was not acted on, he got his ass ready, and went back to his house, to the town where he came from, and having put his house in order, he put himself to death by hanging; so he came to his end and was put in the resting-place of his father.എന്നാൽ അഹീഥോഫെൽ തന്റെ ആലോചന നടന്നില്ല എന്നു കണ്ടപ്പോൾ കഴുതപ്പുറത്തു കോപ്പിട്ടു കയറി തന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിൽ വീട്ടിലേക്കു ചെന്നു വീട്ടുകാര്യം ക്രമപ്പെടുത്തിയശേഷം കെട്ടി ഞാന്നു മരിച്ചു; അവന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ കല്ലറയിൽ അവനെ അടക്കം ചെയ്തു.

24 And David came to Mahanaim. And Absalom, with all the men of Israel, went over Jordan.പിന്നെ ദാവീദ് മഹനയീമിൽ എത്തി. അബ്ശാലോമും കൂടെയുള്ള യിസ്രായേൽജനമൊക്കെയും യോർദ്ദാൻ കടന്നു.

25 And Absalom put Amasa at the head of the army in place of Joab. Now Amasa was the son of a man named Ithra the Ishmaelite, who had been the lover of Abigail, the daughter of Jesse, sister of Zeruiah, Joab's mother.അബ്ശാലോം യോവാബിന്നു പകരം അമാസയെ സേനാധിപതി ആക്കി; അമാസയോ നാഹാശിന്റെ മകളും യോവാബിന്റെ അമ്മ സെരൂയയുടെ സഹോദരിയും ആയ അബീഗലിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ യിത്രാ എന്നു പേരുള്ള ഒരു യിശ്മായേല്യൻ ചെന്നിട്ടു ഉണ്ടായ മകൻ.

26 And Israel and Absalom put up their tents in the land of Gilead.എന്നാൽ യിസ്രായേലും അബ്ശാലോമും ഗിലെയാദ് ദേശത്തു പാളയമിറങ്ങി.

27 Now when David had come to Mahanaim, Shobi, the son of Nahash of Rabbah, the Ammonite, and Machir, the son of Ammiel of Lo-debar, and Barzillai the Gileadite of Rogelim,ദാവീദ് മഹനയീമിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ അമ്മോന്യരുടെ രബ്ബയിൽനിന്നു നാഹാശിന്റെ മകൻ ശോബി, ലോ-ദെബാരിൽനിന്നു അമ്മീയേലിന്റെ മകൻ മാഖീർ, രോഗെലീമിൽനിന്നു ഗിലെയാദ്യൻ ബർസില്ലായി എന്നിവർ

28 Came with beds and basins and pots, and grain and meal, and all sorts of dry foods,കിടക്കകളും കിണ്ണങ്ങളും മൺപാത്രങ്ങളും ദാവീദിന്നും കൂടെയുള്ള ജനത്തിന്നും ഭക്ഷിപ്പാൻ, കോതമ്പു, യവം, മാവു, മലർ, അമരക്ക, പയർ, പരിപ്പു, തേൻ,

29 And honey and butter and sheep and milk-cheeses, for David and his people: for they said, This people is in the waste land, needing food and drink and rest.വെണ്ണ, ആടു, പശുവിൻ പാൽക്കട്ട എന്നിവയും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; ജനം മരുഭൂമിയിൽ വിശന്നും ദാഹിച്ചും ഇരിക്കുമല്ലോ എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.
