2 Kings 8
7 അനന്തരം എലീശാ ദമ്മേശെക്കിൽ ചെന്നു; അന്നു അരാംരാജാവായ ബെൻ-ഹദദ് ദീനംപിടിച്ചു കിടക്കുകയായിരുന്നു; ദൈവപുരുഷൻ വന്നിട്ടുണ്ടു എന്നു അവന്നു അറിവു കിട്ടി.
8 രാജാവു ഹസായേലിനോടു: ഒരു സമ്മാനം എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവപുരുഷനെ ചെന്നുകണ്ടു: ഈ ദീനം മാറി എനിക്കു സൌഖ്യം വരുമോ എന്നു അവൻ മുഖാന്തരം യഹോവയോടു ചോദിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
9 അങ്ങനെ ഹസായേൽ ദമ്മേശെക്കിലെ വിശേഷവസ്തുക്കളിൽനിന്നൊക്കെയും എടുത്തു നാല്പതു ഒട്ടകച്ചുമടുമായി അവനെ ചെന്നുകണ്ടു അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നിന്നു: നിന്റെ മകൻ അരാം രാജാവായ ബെൻ-ഹദദ് എന്നെ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു: ഈ ദീനം മാറി എനിക്കു സൌഖ്യം വരുമോ എന്നു ചോദിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അതിന്നു എലീശാ;
10 നീ ചെന്നു അവനോടു: നിനക്കു നിശ്ചയമായിട്ടു സൌഖ്യം വരും എന്നു പറക; എന്നാൽ അവൻ നിശ്ചയമായി മരിച്ചുപോകുമെന്നു യഹോവ എനിക്കു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിത്തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
7 And Elisha came to Damascus; and Ben-hadad the king of Syria was sick; and it was told him, saying, The man of God is come hither.
8 And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in thine hand, and go, meet the man of God, and inquire of the Lord by him, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?
9 So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels’ burden, and came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Ben-hadad king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?
10 And Elisha said unto him, Go, say unto him, Thou mayest certainly recover: howbeit the Lord hath shewed me that he shall surely die.

So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels’ burden, and came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Ben-hadad king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?
