1 Samuel 22
1 അങ്ങനെ ദാവീദ് അവിടം വിട്ടു അദുല്ലാംഗുഹയിലേക്കു ഓടിപ്പോയി; അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും അവന്റെ പിതൃഭവനമൊക്കെയും അതു കേട്ടു അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു.
2 ഞെരുക്കമുള്ളവർ, കടമുള്ളവർ, സന്തുഷ്ടിയില്ലാത്തവർ എന്നീവകക്കാർ ഒക്കെയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നുകൂടി; അവൻ അവർക്കു തലവനായിത്തീർന്നു; അവനോടുകൂടെ ഏകദേശം നാനൂറുപേർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
3 അനന്തരം ദാവീദ് അവിടം വിട്ടു മോവാബിലെ മിസ്പയിൽ ചെന്നു, മോവാബ്രാജാവിനോടു: ദൈവം എനിക്കു വേണ്ടി എന്തുചെയ്യും എന്നു അറിയുവോളം എന്റെ അപ്പനും അമ്മയും നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു പാർപ്പാൻ അനുവദിക്കേണമേ എന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.
4 അവൻ അവരെ മോവാബ്രാജാവിന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു; ദാവീദ് ദുർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ താമസിച്ച കാലമൊക്കെയും അവർ അവിടെ പാർത്തു.
5 എന്നാൽ ഗാദ്പ്രവാചകൻ ദാവീദിനോടു: ദുർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ പാർക്കാതെ യെഹൂദാദേശത്തേക്കു പൊയ്ക്കൊൾക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ ദാവീദ് പുറപ്പെട്ടു ഹേരെത്ത് കാട്ടിൽവന്നു.
1 David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father’s house heard it, they went down thither to him.
2 And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.
3 And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, and be with you, till I know what God will do for me.
4 And he brought them before the king of Moab: and they dwelt with him all the while that David was in the hold.
5 And the prophet Gad said unto David, Abide not in the hold; depart, and get thee into the land of Judah. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth.
