യോവാബ് യഹോവയുടെ കൂടാരത്തിൽ ഓടിച്ചെന്നു യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ നില്ക്കുന്നു എന്നു ശലോമോൻ രാജാവിന്നു അറിവുകിട്ടി. അപ്പോൾ ശലോമോൻ യെഹോയാദയുടെ മകനായ ബെനായാവെ അയച്ചു: നീ ചെന്നു അവനെ വെട്ടിക്കളക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.
