അവനോടുള്ള എന്റെ നിയമം ജീവനും സമാധാനവുമായിരുന്നു; അവൻ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ അവന്നു അവയെ കൊടുത്തു; അവൻ എന്നെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു എന്റെ നാമംനിമിത്തം വിറെക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

My covenant	בְּרִיתִ֣י׀	bĕrît	beh-REET
was	הָיְתָ֣ה	hāyâ	ha-YA
with	אִתּ֗וֹ	ʾēt	ate
him of life	הַֽחַיִּים֙	ḥay	hai
and peace;	וְהַ֨שָּׁל֔וֹם	šālôm	sha-LOME
and I gave	וָאֶתְּנֵֽם	nātan	na-TAHN
	ל֥וֹ
them to him the fear	מוֹרָ֖א	môrāʾ	moh-RA
wherewith he feared	וַיִּֽירָאֵ֑נִי	yārēʾ	ya-RAY
before	וּמִפְּנֵ֥י	pānîm	pa-NEEM
my name.	שְׁמִ֖י	šēm	shame
me, and was afraid	נִחַ֥ת	ḥātat	ha-TAHT
	הֽוּא׃	hûʾ	hoo
