Luke 13
6 അവൻ ഈ ഉപമയും പറഞ്ഞു: “ഒരുത്തന്നു തന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിൽ നട്ടിരുന്നോരു അത്തിവൃക്ഷം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൻ അതിൽ ഫലം തിരഞ്ഞുവന്നു, കണ്ടില്ലതാനും.
7 അവൻ തോട്ടക്കാരനോടു: ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ മൂന്നു സംവത്സരമായി ഈ അത്തിയിൽ ഫലം തിരഞ്ഞുവരുന്നു കാണുന്നില്ലതാനും; അതിനെ വെട്ടിക്കളക അതു നിലത്തെ നിഷ്ഫലമാക്കുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
8 അതിന്നു അവൻ: കർത്താവേ, ഞാൻ അതിന്നു ചുറ്റും കിളെച്ചു വളം ഇടുവോളം ഈ ആണ്ടും കൂടെ നിൽക്കട്ടെ.
9 മേലാൽ കായിച്ചെങ്കിലോ - ഇല്ലെങ്കിൽ വെട്ടിക്കളയാം” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.
