അയ്യോ! യഹോവ സീയോൻ പുത്രിയെ തന്റെ കോപത്തിൽ മേഘംകൊണ്ടു മറെച്ചതെങ്ങനെ? അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ മഹത്വം ആകാശത്തുനിന്നു ഭൂമിയൽ ഇട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു; തന്റെ കോപദിവസത്തിൽ അവൻ തന്റെ പാദപീഠത്തെ ഓർത്തതുമില്ല,

	אֶת	ʾēt	ate
the daughter	בַּת	bat	baht
of Zion	צִיּ֔וֹן	ṣiyyôn	tsee-YONE
cast down	הִשְׁלִ֤יךְ	šālak	sha-LAHK
from heaven	מִשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙	šāmayim	sha-ma-YEEM
unto the earth	אֶ֔רֶץ	ʾereṣ	eh-RETS
the beauty	תִּפְאֶ֖רֶת	tipʾārâ	teef-ah-RA
of Israel,	יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל	yiśrāʾēl	yees-ra-ALE
not	וְלֹא	lōʾ	loh
and remembered	זָכַ֥ר	zākar	za-HAHR
his footstool	הֲדֹם	hădōm	huh-DOME
	רַגְלָ֖יו	regel	reh-ɡEL
in the day	בְּי֥וֹם	yôm	yome
of his anger!	אַפּֽוֹ׃	ʾap	af
