അനന്തരം യോനാ നഗരം വിട്ടുചെന്നു നഗരത്തിന്റെ കിഴക്കേവശത്തു ഇരുന്നു; അവിടെ ഒരു കുടിലുണ്ടാക്കി നഗരത്തിന്നു എന്തു ഭവിക്കും എന്നു കാണുവോളം അതിൻ കീഴെ തണലിൽ പാർത്തു.

of	מִן	min	meen
the city,	הָעִ֔יר	ʿîr	eer
and sat	וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב	yāšab	ya-SHAHV
on the east side	מִקֶּ֣דֶם	qedem	keh-DEM
of the city,	לָעִ֑יר	ʿîr	eer
made	וַיַּעַשׂ֩	ʿāśâ	ah-SA
	ל֨וֹ
and there	שָׁ֜ם	šām	shahm
him a booth,	סֻכָּ֗ה	sukkâ	soo-KA
and sat	וַיֵּ֤שֶׁב	yāšab	ya-SHAHV
under	תַּחְתֶּ֙יהָ֙	taḥat	ta-HAHT
it in the shadow,	בַּצֵּ֔ל	ṣēl	tsale
till	עַ֚ד	ʿad	ad
	אֲשֶׁ֣ר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
he might see	יִרְאֶ֔ה	rāʾâ	ra-AH
what	מַה	mâ	ma
would become	יִּהְיֶ֖ה	hāyâ	ha-YA
of the city.	בָּעִֽיר׃	ʿîr	eer
