അവർ ദുർമ്മാർഗ്ഗം വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു എന്നു ദൈവം അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളാൽ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ താൻ അവർക്കു വരുത്തും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്ന അനർത്ഥത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ദൈവം അനുതപിച്ചു അതു വരുത്തിയതുമില്ല.

And God	הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙	ʾĕlōhîm	ay-loh-HEEM
	אֶֽת	ʾēt	ate
their works,	מַ֣עֲשֵׂיהֶ֔ם	maʿăśe	ma-uh-SEH
that	כִּי	kî	kee
they turned	שָׁ֖בוּ	šûb	shoov
way;	מִדַּרְכָּ֣ם	derek	deh-REK
from their evil	הָרָעָ֑ה	raʿ	ra
repented	וַיִּנָּ֣חֶם	nāḥam	na-HAHM
and God	הָאֱלֹהִ֗ים	ʾĕlōhîm	ay-loh-HEEM
of	עַל	ʿal	al
the evil,	הָרָעָ֛ה	raʿ	ra
that	אֲשֶׁר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
he had said	דִּבֶּ֥ר	dābar	da-VAHR
that he would do	לַעֲשׂוֹת	ʿāśâ	ah-SA
	לָהֶ֖ם	hēm	hame
	וְלֹ֥א	lōʾ	loh
unto them; and he did not.	עָשָֽׂה׃	ʿāśâ	ah-SA
