Hosea 5
1 പുരോഹിതന്മാരേ, കേൾപ്പിൻ; യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹമേ, ചെവിക്കൊൾവിൻ; രാജഗൃഹമേ, ചെവിതരുവിൻ; നിങ്ങൾ മിസ്പെക്കു ഒരു കണിയും താബോരിന്മേൽ വിരിച്ച വലയും ആയിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു ന്യായവിധി നിങ്ങൾക്കു വരുന്നു.
2 മത്സരികൾ വഷളത്വത്തിൽ ആണ്ടുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാനോ അവർക്കു ഏവർക്കും ഒരു ശാസകൻ ആകുന്നു.
3 ഞാൻ എഫ്രായീമിനെ അറിയുന്നു; യിസ്രായേൽ എനിക്കു മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല; എഫ്രയീമേ, നീ ഇപ്പോൾ പരസംഗം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; യിസ്രായേൽ മലിനമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

7 അവർ അന്യപുത്രന്മാരെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു അവർ യഹോവയോടു വിശ്വാസപാതകം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇപ്പോൾ ഒരു അമാവാസ്യ അവരെ അവരുടെ ഓഹരികളോടുകൂടെ തിന്നുകളയും.
1 Hear ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.
2 And the revolters are profound to make slaughter, though I have been a rebuker of them all.
3 I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, and Israel is defiled.
4 They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the Lord.
5 And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity; Judah also shall fall with them.
6 They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the Lord; but they shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them.
7 They have dealt treacherously against the Lord: for they have begotten strange children: now shall a month devour them with their portions.
