Proverbs 10 - DBY (Malayalam)

1 The Proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father; but a foolish son is the grief of his mother.ജ്ഞാനമുള്ള മകൻ അപ്പനെ സന്തോഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; ഭോഷനായ മകൻ അമ്മെക്കു വ്യസനഹേതുവാകുന്നു.

2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing; but righteousness delivereth from death.ദുഷ്ടതയാൽ സമ്പാദിച്ച നിക്ഷേപങ്ങൾ ഉപകരിക്കുന്നില്ല; നീതിയോ മരണത്തിൽനിന്നു വിടുവിക്കുന്നു.

3 Jehovah suffereth not the soul of the righteous [man] to famish; but he repelleth the craving of the wicked.യഹോവ നീതിമാനെ പട്ടിണി കിടത്തുകയില്ല; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ കൊതിയോ അവൻ തള്ളിക്കളയുന്നു.

4 He cometh to want that dealeth with a slack hand; but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.മടിയുള്ള കൈകൊണ്ടു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവൻ ദരിദ്രനായ്തീരുന്നു; ഉത്സാഹിയുടെ കയ്യോ സമ്പത്തുണ്ടാക്കുന്നു.

5 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son; he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.വേനൽക്കാലത്തു ശേഖരിച്ചുവെക്കുന്നവൻ ബുദ്ധിമാൻ; കൊയ്ത്തുകാലത്തു ഉറങ്ങുന്നവനോ നാണംകെട്ടവൻ.

6 Blessings are upon the head of a righteous [man]; but the mouth of the wicked covereth violence.നീതിമാന്റെ ശിരസ്സിന്മേൽ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ വരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ വായെ സാഹസംമൂടുന്നു.

7 The memory of the righteous [man] shall be blessed; but the name of the wicked shall rot.നീതിമാന്റെ ഓർമ്മ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടതു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ പേരോ കെട്ടുപോകും.

8 The wise in heart receiveth commandments; but a prating fool shall fall.ജ്ഞാനഹൃദയൻ കല്പനകളെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു; വിടുവായനായ ഭോഷനോ വീണുപോകും.

9 He that walketh in integrity walketh securely; but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.നേരായി നടക്കുന്നവൻ നിർഭയമായി നടക്കുന്നു; നടപ്പിൽ വക്രതയുള്ളവനോ വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരും.

10 He that winketh with the eye causeth grief, and a prating fool shall fall.കണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു ആംഗ്യം കാട്ടുന്നവൻ ദുഃഖം വരുത്തുന്നു; തുറന്നു ശാസിക്കുന്നവനോ സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു.

11 The mouth of a righteous [man] is a fountain of life; but the mouth of the wicked covereth violence.നീതിമാന്റെ വായ് ജീവന്റെ ഉറവാകുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ വായെ സാഹസംമൂടുന്നു.

12 Hatred stirreth up strifes; but love covereth all transgressions.പക വഴക്കുകൾക്കു കാരണം ആകുന്നു; സ്നേഹമോ, സകലലംഘനങ്ങളെയും മൂടുന്നു.

13 In the lips of an intelligent [man] wisdom is found; but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.വിവേകിയുടെ അധരങ്ങളിൽ ജ്ഞാനം ഉണ്ടു; ബുദ്ധിഹീനന്റെ മുതുകിന്നോ വടികൊള്ളാം.

14 The wise lay up knowledge; but the mouth of the fool is near destruction.ജ്ഞാനികൾ പരിജ്ഞാനം അടക്കിവെക്കുന്നു; ഭോഷന്റെ വായോ അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന നാശം.

15 The rich man's wealth is his strong city; the destruction of the poor is their poverty.ധനവാന്റെ സമ്പത്തു, അവന്നു ഉറപ്പുള്ളോരു പട്ടണം; എളിയവരുടെ നാശമോ അവരുടെ ദാരിദ്ര്യം തന്നേ.

16 The labour of a righteous [man] [tendeth] to life; the revenue of a wicked [man], to sin.നീതിമാന്റെ സമ്പാദ്യം ജീവഹേതുവും ദുഷ്ടന്റെ ആദായം പാപകാരണവും ആകുന്നു.

17 Keeping instruction is the path to life; but he that forsaketh reproof goeth astray.പ്രബോധനം പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവൻ ജീവമാർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; ശാസന ത്യജിക്കുന്നവനോ ഉഴന്നുനടക്കുന്നു;

18 He that covereth hatred hath lying lips, and he that sendeth forth a slander is a fool.പക മറെച്ചുവെക്കുന്നവൻ പൊളിവായൻ; ഏഷണി പറയുന്നവൻ ഭോഷൻ.

19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not transgression; but he that restraineth his lips doeth wisely.വാക്കു പെരുകിയാൽ ലംഘനം ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കയില്ല; അധരങ്ങളെ അടക്കുന്നവനോ ബുദ്ധിമാൻ.

20 The tongue of the righteous [man] is [as] choice silver; the heart of the wicked is little worth.നീതിമാന്റെ നാവു മേത്തരമായ വെള്ളി; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ ഹൃദയമോ നിസ്സാരം.

21 The lips of a righteous [man] feed many; but fools die for want of understanding.നീതിമാന്റെ അധരങ്ങൾ പലരെയും പോഷിപ്പിക്കും; ഭോഷന്മാരോ ബുദ്ധിഹീനതയാൽ മരിക്കുന്നു.

22 The blessing of Jehovah, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow to it.യഹോവയുടെ അനുഗ്രഹത്താൽ സമ്പത്തുണ്ടാകുന്നു; അദ്ധ്വാനത്താൽ അതിനോടു ഒന്നും കൂടുന്നില്ല.

23 It is as sport to a foolish [man] to do wickedness; but a man of understanding hath wisdom.ദോഷം ചെയ്യുന്നതു ഭോഷന്നു കളിയാകുന്നു; ജ്ഞാനം വിവേകിക്കു അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ.

24 The fear of a wicked [man], it shall come upon him; but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.ദുഷ്ടൻ പേടിക്കുന്നതു തന്നേ അവന്നു ഭവിക്കും; നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ ആഗ്രഹമോ സാധിക്കും.

25 As a whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no [more]; but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റു കടന്നുപോകുമ്പോൾ ദുഷ്ടൻ ഇല്ലാതെയായി; നീതിമാനോ ശാശ്വതമായ അടിസ്ഥാനം ഉള്ളവൻ.

26 As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.ചൊറുക്ക പല്ലിന്നും പുക കണ്ണിന്നും ആകുന്നതുപോലെ മടിയൻ തന്നേ അയക്കുന്നവർക്കു ആകുന്നു.

27 The fear of Jehovah prolongeth days; but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.യഹോവാഭക്തി ആയുസ്സിനെ ദീർഘമാക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ സംവത്സരങ്ങളോ കുറഞ്ഞുപോകും.

28 The hope of the righteous is joy; but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ പ്രത്യാശ സന്തോഷമാകുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ പ്രതീക്ഷെക്കോ ഭംഗം വരും.

29 The way of Jehovah is strength to the perfect [man], but destruction to the workers of iniquity.യഹോവയുടെ വഴി നേരുള്ളവന്നു ഒരു ദുർഗ്ഗം; ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാർക്കോ അതു നാശകരം.

30 The righteous [man] shall never be moved; but the wicked shall not inhabit the land.നീതിമാൻ ഒരുനാളും കുലുങ്ങിപ്പോകയില്ല; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരോ ദേശത്തു വസിക്കയില്ല.

31 The mouth of a righteous [man] putteth forth wisdom; but the froward tongue shall be cut out.നീതിമാന്റെ വായ് ജ്ഞാനം മുളെപ്പിക്കുന്നു; വക്രതയുള്ള നാവോ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും.

32 The lips of a righteous [man] know what is acceptable; but the mouth of the wicked is frowardness.നീതിമാന്റെ അധരങ്ങൾ പ്രസാദകരമായതു അറിയുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ വായോ വക്രതയുള്ളതാകുന്നു.
