പട്ടണം പണിതു മതിലുകൾ കെട്ടിത്തീർന്നാൽ അവർ കരമോ നികുതിയോ ചുങ്കമോ ഒന്നും അടെക്കയില്ല; അങ്ങനെ ഒടുവിൽ അവർ രാജാക്കന്മാർക്കു നഷ്ടം വരുത്തും എന്നു രാജാവിന്നു ബോധിച്ചിരിക്കേണം.

unto the king, לְמַלְכָּ֔א melek meh-LEK
that, דִּ֠י dî dee
if הֵ֣ן hēn hane
city קִרְיְתָ֥א qiryāʾ keer-YA
this דָךְ֙ dēk dake
be builded, תִּתְבְּנֵ֔א bĕnāʾ beh-NA
and the walls וְשׁוּרַיָּ֖ה šûr shoor
set up יִֽשְׁתַּכְלְל֑וּן kĕlal keh-LAHL
toll, מִנְדָּֽה middâ mee-DA
tribute, בְל֤וֹ bĕlô beh-LOH
and custom, וַֽהֲלָךְ֙ hălok huh-LOKE
will they not לָ֣א lāʾ la
pay יִנְתְּנ֔וּן nĕtan neh-TAHN
the revenue וְאַפְּתֹ֥ם ʾappĕtōm ah-peh-TOME
of the kings. מַלְכִ֖ים melek meh-LEK
and thou shalt endamage תְּהַנְזִֽק׃ nĕzaq neh-ZAHK
