Ezekiel 9:4
അവനോടു യഹോവ: നീ നഗരത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽ, യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ നടുവിൽകൂടി ചെന്നു, അതിൽ നടക്കുന്ന സകലമ്ളേച്ഛതകളും നിമിത്തം നെടുവീർപ്പിട്ടു കരയുന്ന പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ നെറ്റികളിൽ ഒരു അടയാളം ഇടുക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

| Jerusalem, of | יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם | yĕrûšālāim | yeh-roo-sha-la-EEM |
| and set | וְהִתְוִ֨יתָ | wĕhitwîtā | veh-heet-VEE-ta |
| a mark | תָּ֜ו | tāw | tahv |
| upon | עַל | ʿal | al |
| the foreheads | מִצְח֣וֹת | miṣḥôt | meets-HOTE |
| of the men | הָאֲנָשִׁ֗ים | hāʾănāšîm | ha-uh-na-SHEEM |
| sigh that | הַנֶּֽאֱנָחִים֙ | hanneʾĕnāḥîm | ha-neh-ay-na-HEEM |
