അവൻ പുരോഹിതന്മാരെയും ലേവ്യരെയും കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി അവരോടു: യെഹൂദാനഗരങ്ങളിലേക്കു ചെന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയം ആണ്ടുതോറും അറ്റകുറ്റം പോക്കുവാൻ എല്ലാ യിസ്രായേലിലും നിന്നു ദ്രവ്യം ശേഖരിപ്പിൻ; ഈ കാര്യം വേഗം നിവർത്തിക്കേണം എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. ലേവ്യരോ അതിന്നു ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടില്ല.

	אֶת	ʾēt	ate
the priests	הַכֹּֽהֲנִ֣ים	kōhēn	koh-HANE
and the Levites,	וְהַלְוִיִּם֒	lēwiyyî	lay-vee-YEE
and said	וַיֹּ֣אמֶר	ʾāmar	ah-MAHR
	לָהֶ֡ם
to them, Go out	צְא֣וּ	yāṣāʾ	ya-TSA
unto the cities	לְעָרֵ֪י	ʿîr	eer
of Judah,	יְהוּדָ֟ה	yĕhûdâ	yeh-hoo-DA
and gather	וְקִבְצוּ֩	qābaṣ	ka-VAHTS
of all	מִכָּל	kōl	kole
Israel	יִשְׂרָאֵ֨ל	yiśrāʾēl	yees-ra-ALE
money	כֶּ֜סֶף	kesep	keh-SEF
to repair	לְחַזֵּ֣ק׀	ḥāzaq	ha-ZAHK
	אֶת	ʾēt	ate
the house	בֵּ֣ית	bayit	ba-YEET
of your God	אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֗ם	ʾĕlōhîm	ay-loh-HEEM
from	מִדֵּ֤י	day	dai
year	שָׁנָה֙	šāne	sha-NEH
to year,	בְּשָׁנָ֔ה	šāne	sha-NEH
and see that ye	וְאַתֶּ֖ם	ʾattâ	ah-TA
hasten	תְּמַֽהֲר֣וּ	māhar	ma-HAHR
the matter.	לַדָּבָ֑ר	dābār	da-VAHR
not.	וְלֹ֥א	lōʾ	loh
hastened	מִֽהֲר֖וּ	māhar	ma-HAHR
Howbeit the Levites	הַלְוִיִּֽם׃	lēwiyyî	lay-vee-YEE
