25 அப்பொழுது சிமியோன் என்னும் பேர்கொண்ட ஒரு மனுஷன் எருசலேமில் இருந்தான்; அவன் நீதியும் தேவபக்தியும் உள்ளவனாயும், இஸ்ரவேலின் ஆறுதல் வரக்காத்திருக்கிறவனாயும் இருந்தான்; அவன் மேல் பரிசுத்த ஆவி இருந்தார். And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.

26 கர்த்தருடைய கிறிஸ்துவை நீ காணுமுன்னே மரணமடையமாட்டாய் என்று பரிசுத்த ஆவியினாலே அவனுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுமிருந்தது. And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

27 அவன் ஆவியின் ஏவுதலினால் தேவாலயத்திலே வந்திருந்தான். இயேசு என்னும் பிள்ளைக்காக நியாயப்பிரமாணமுறைமையின்படி செய்வதற்குத் தாய் தகப்பன்மார் அவரை உள்ளே கொண்டுவருகையில், And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,

28 அவன் அவரைத் தன் கைகளில் ஏந்திக்கொண்டு தேவனை ஸ்தோத்திரித்து: Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,

29 ஆண்டவரே, உமது வார்த்தையின்படி உமது அடியேனை இப்பொழுது சமாதானத்தோடே போகவிடுகிறீர்; Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:

30 புறஜாதிகளுக்குப் பிரகாசிக்கிற ஒளியாகவும், உம்முடைய ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு மகிமையாகவும், For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,

31 தேவரீர் சகல ஜனங்களுக்கும் முன்பாக ஆயத்தம்பண்ணின Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;

32 உம்முடைய இரட்சணியத்தை என் கண்கள் கண்டது என்றான். A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

33 அவரைக்குறித்துச் சொல்லப்பட்டவைகளுக்காக யோசேப்பும் அவருடைய தாயாரும் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டார்கள். And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.

And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;

35 உன் ஆத்துமாவையும் ஒரு பட்டையம் உருவிப்போகும் என்றான். (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

25 Appoluthu simiyon ennum paerkonnda oru manushan erusalaemil irunthaan; avan neethiyum thaevapakthiyum ullavanaayum, isravaelin aaraுthal varakkaaththirukkiravanaayum irunthaan; avan mael Parisuththa aavi irunthaar. And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.

26 Karththarutaiya Kristhuvai nee kaanumunnae maranamataiyamaattay entu Parisuththa aaviyinaalae avanukku arivikkappattumirunthathu. And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

27 Avan aaviyin aevuthalinaal thaevaalayaththilae vanthirunthaan. Yesu ennum pillaikkaaka niyaayappiramaanamuraimaiyinpati seyvatharkuth thaay thakappanmaar avarai ullae konnduvarukaiyil, And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,

28 Avan avaraith than kaikalil aenthikkonndu thaevanai sthoththiriththu: Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,

29 Aanndavarae, umathu vaarththaiyinpati umathu atiyaenai ippoluthu samaathaanaththotae pokavidukireer; Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:

30 Purajaathikalukkup pirakaasikkira oliyaakavum, ummutaiya janamaakiya isravaelukku makimaiyaakavum, For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,

31 Thaevareer sakala janangalukkum munpaaka aayaththampannnnina Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;

32 Ummutaiya iratchanniyaththai en kannkal kanndathu entan. A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

33 Avaraikkuriththuch sollappattavaikalukkaaka yoseppum avarutaiya thaayaarum aachchariyappattarkal. And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.

34 Pinnum simiyon avarkalai aaseervathiththu, avarutaiya thaayaakiya mariyaalai Nnokki: itho, anaekarutaiya iruthaya sinthanaikal velippadaththakkathaaka, isravaelil anaekar vilukiratharkum elunthirukkiratharkum, virothamaakap paesappadum ataiyaalamaavatharkum, ivar niyamikkappattirukkiraar. And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;

35 Un aaththumaavaiyum oru pattaைyam uruvippokum entan. (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.
