ಇಗೋ, ನಾಳೆ ಇಷ್ಟು ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ಮಹಾಕಠಿಣವಾದ ಆನೆಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಳೆಯನ್ನು ಬೀಳಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಇಂಥದ್ದು ಐಗುಪ್ತದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರ ಹಾಕಿದಂದಿನಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೂ ಆಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಈಜೆಬೆಲಳು ಎಲೀಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ದೂತ ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ--ನಾನು ನಾಳೆ ಇಷ್ಟು ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ಅವ ರಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬನ ಪ್ರಾಣದ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೂ ಮಾಡದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ದೇವರುಗಳು ನನಗೆ ಹೀಗೆಯೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಳು.

1 ಅರಸುಗಳು 20:6
ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಾಳೆ ಇಷ್ಟು ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವೆನು; ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಶೋಧಿಸಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ರಮ್ಯ ವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡಿದು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವರು ಅಂದನು.

ಆಗ ಎಲೀಷನು--ನೀವು ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ; ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು ತ್ತಾನೆ -- ನಾಳೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಇಷ್ಟು ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಬಾಗಲಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಸೇರು ನಯವಾದ ಹಿಟ್ಟು ಒಂದು ಶೇಕೆಲಿಗೂ ಎರಡು ಸೇರು ಜವೆ ಗೋದಿಯು ಒಂದು ಶೇಕೆಲಿಗೂ ಮಾರಲ್ಪಡುವವು ಅಂದನು.

ಹಾಗೆಯೇ--ಎರಡು ಸೇರು ಜವೆ ಗೋದಿಯು ಒಂದು ಶೇಕೆಲಿಗೂ ಒಂದು ಸೇರು ನಯವಾದ ಹಿಟ್ಟು ಒಂದು ಶೇಕೆಲಿಗೂ ನಾಳೆ ಇಷ್ಟು ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಬಾಗಲಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾರಲ್ಪಡುವ ವೆಂದು ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿತು.
