ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ನನ್ನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವೆನು; ನೀನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸೂಸೆಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ನಾವೆ ಯೊಳಗೆ ಬರಬೇಕು.

ಅದೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಹನೂ ಅವನ ಕುಮಾರರಾದ ಶೇಮ್ ಹಾಮ್ ಯೆಫೆತ್ ಇವರೂ ನೋಹನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯೂ ಅವರ ಕೂಡ ಅವನ ಕುಮಾರರ ಮೂವರು ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರೂ ನಾವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ ದರು.

ಕರ್ತನು ನೋಹನಿಗೆ--ನೀನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಾವೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಈ ಸಂತತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನೊಬ್ಬನೇ ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ನೀತಿವಂತನಾಗಿರುವದನ್ನು ನಾನು ನೋಡಿ ದ್ದೇನೆ.

ಆದರೆ ನೋಹನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುತ್ತಿರಲು ದೇವರ ದೀರ್ಘಶಾಂತಿಯು ಒಂದು ಸಾರಿ ಕಾದಿದ್ದಾಗ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಅವಿಧೇಯರಾ ಗಿದ್ದವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಆತನು ಸಾರಿದನು. ಆ ನಾವೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಕೆಲವರು ಅಂದರೆ ಎಂಟೇ ಜನರು ನೀರಿನ ಮೂಲಕ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹೊಂದಿದರು.

ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ನೋಹನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಕಾಣದಿದ್ದವುಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸ ಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಭಯಗ್ರಸ್ತನಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗಾಗಿ ನಾವೆಯನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಲೋಕದವರನ್ನು ಖಂಡಿಸಿ ತರುವಾಯ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂ ದುಂಟಾಗುವ ನೀತಿಗೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯನಾದನು.

ಆದರೆ ಬರುವ ವರುಷ ಈ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರಳು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೆರುವ ಇಸಾಕನ ಸಂಗಡ ನನ್ನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
