Romans 9
1 ಈ ಮಾತನ್ನು ನಾನು ಸುಳ್ಳಾಡದೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಪವಿ ತ್ರಾತ್ಮನಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ನನಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ.
2 ಅದೇನಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಭಾರವೂ ಎಡೆಬಿಡದ ದುಃಖವೂ ಉಂಟು.
3 ಶರೀರ ಸಂಬಂಧ ವಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವಜನರಾಗಿರುವ ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರಿಗೊಸ್ಕರ ನಾನೇ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಿಂದ ಅಗಲಿ ಶಾಪಗ್ರಸ್ತನಾಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡೇನು.
4 ಇವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು; ದತ್ತುಪುತ್ರ ಸ್ವಿಕಾರವೂ ಮಹಿಮೆಯೂ ಒಡಂಬಡಿ ಕೆಗಳೂ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಕೊಡೋಣವೂ ದೇವರ ಸೇವೆಯೂ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಗಳೂ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಪಟ್ಟವುಗಳು.
5 ಪಿತೃಗಳು ಇವರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವರೇ; ಶರೀರ ಸಂಬಂಧವಾಗಿ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಇವರಿಂದಲೇ ಬಂದನು; ಆತನು ಎಲ್ಲಾದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುವಾತನಾಗಿದ್ದು ನಿರಂತರಕ್ಕೂ ಸ್ತುತಿ ಹೊಂದತಕ್ಕ ದೇವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆಮೆನ್.
6 ದೇವರ ಮಾತು ನಿರರ್ಥಕವಾಯಿತೆಂತಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವ ರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಲ್ಲ;
7 ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅವರು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರಾದ ಕಾರಣ ಅವರೆ ಲ್ಲರೂ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ--ಇಸಾಕನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತ ತಿಯು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವದು ಎಂಬದೇ.
8 ಅಂದರೆ--ಶರೀರ ಸಂಬಂಧವಾದ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ದೇವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ವಾಗ್ದಾನದ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ ಆತನ ಸಂತತಿಯೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
9 ಈ ವಾಗ್ದಾನದ ಮಾತೇನಂ ದರೆ--ಮುಂದಿನ ವರುಷದ ಇದೇ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಬರುವೆನು. ಆಗ ಸಾರಳಿಗೆ ಮಗನು ಇರುವನು ಎಂಬದೇ.
10 ಇದು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳು ಸಹ ಒಬ್ಬನಿಂದ ಅಂದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃವಾದ ಇಸಾಕನಿಂದ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾದಾಗ
11 (ಮಕ್ಕಳಿನ್ನೂ ಹುಟ್ಟದಿರುವಾಗ ಮತ್ತು ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಮಾಡದಿರು ವಾಗ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ದೇವರ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪವು ಸ್ಥಿರಗೊಳ್ಳು ವಂತೆ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳಿಂದಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ಕರೆದಾತನಿಂದಲೇ)
12 ಹಿರಿಯವನು ಕಿರಿಯವನಿಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುವನು ಎಂದು ಆಕೆಗೆ ಹೇಳಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ.
13 ಇದಕ್ಕನುಸಾರ-- ನಾನು ಯಾಕೋಬನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದೆನು ಮತು ಏಸಾವನನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡಿದೆನು ಎಂದು ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ.
14 ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ನಾವು ಏನು ಹೇಳೋಣ? ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೀತಿ ಉಂಟೋ? ಹಾಗೆ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
15 ಆತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ--ಯಾವನ ಮೇಲೆ ನನಗೆ ಕರುಣೆ ಇದೆಯೋ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸುವೆನು ಮತ್ತು ಯಾವನ ಮೇಲೆ ನನಗೆ ದಯೆ ಇದೆಯೋ ಅವನಿಗೆ ದಯೆ ತೋರಿಸುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
16 ಹೀಗಿರುವಾಗ ಅದು ಇಚ್ಛಿಸುವವನಿಂದಾಗಲೀ ಪ್ರಯಾಸಪಡುವವನಿಂದಾಗಲೀ ಆಗದೆ ಕರುಣೆ ತೋರಿ ಸುವ ದೇವರಿಂದಲೇ ಆಗುವದು.
17 ಬರಹವು ಫರೋ ಹನಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ಬಲವನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ತೋರಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನನ್ನ ನಾಮವು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಿ ಹೊಂದಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದಲೂ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ತಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ.
18 ಆದದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ಯಾವನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದಿ ರುವನೋ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸುವನು; ಯಾವನನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣಪಡಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವನೋ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣ ಪಡಿಸುವನು.
19 ಆಗ ನೀನು ನನಗೆ--ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಆತನು ಇನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿಯುವದು ಹೇಗೆ? ಆತನ ಚಿತ್ತವನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುವದು ಯಾರಿಂದಾದೀತು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುವಿ.
20 ಆದರೆ ಓ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೇ, ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಎದುರು ಮಾತನಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀನು ಯಾರು? ರೂಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟದ್ದು ರೂಪಿಸಿದವನಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೀಗೇಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುವದುಂಟೇ?
1 I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,
2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.
3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:
4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;
5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.
9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.
10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;
11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.
13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?
20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

6 ದೇವರ ಮಾತು ನಿರರ್ಥಕವಾಯಿತೆಂತಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವ ರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಲ್ಲ;
Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
7 ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅವರು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರಾದ ಕಾರಣ ಅವರೆ ಲ್ಲರೂ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ--ಇಸಾಕನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತ ತಿಯು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವದು ಎಂಬದೇ.

That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.
9 ಈ ವಾಗ್ದಾನದ ಮಾತೇನಂ ದರೆ--ಮುಂದಿನ ವರುಷದ ಇದೇ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಬರುವೆನು. ಆಗ ಸಾರಳಿಗೆ ಮಗನು ಇರುವನು ಎಂಬದೇ.
For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.
10 ಇದು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳು ಸಹ ಒಬ್ಬನಿಂದ ಅಂದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃವಾದ ಇಸಾಕನಿಂದ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾದಾಗ
And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;

(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
12 ಹಿರಿಯವನು ಕಿರಿಯವನಿಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುವನು ಎಂದು ಆಕೆಗೆ ಹೇಳಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ.
It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.
13 ಇದಕ್ಕನುಸಾರ-- ನಾನು ಯಾಕೋಬನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದೆನು ಮತು ಏಸಾವನನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡಿದೆನು ಎಂದು ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ.
As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
14 ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ನಾವು ಏನು ಹೇಳೋಣ? ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೀತಿ ಉಂಟೋ? ಹಾಗೆ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
15 ಆತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ--ಯಾವನ ಮೇಲೆ ನನಗೆ ಕರುಣೆ ಇದೆಯೋ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸುವೆನು ಮತ್ತು ಯಾವನ ಮೇಲೆ ನನಗೆ ದಯೆ ಇದೆಯೋ ಅವನಿಗೆ ದಯೆ ತೋರಿಸುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
16 ಹೀಗಿರುವಾಗ ಅದು ಇಚ್ಛಿಸುವವನಿಂದಾಗಲೀ ಪ್ರಯಾಸಪಡುವವನಿಂದಾಗಲೀ ಆಗದೆ ಕರುಣೆ ತೋರಿ ಸುವ ದೇವರಿಂದಲೇ ಆಗುವದು.
So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
17 ಬರಹವು ಫರೋ ಹನಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ಬಲವನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ತೋರಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನನ್ನ ನಾಮವು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಿ ಹೊಂದಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದಲೂ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ತಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ.
For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
18 ಆದದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ಯಾವನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದಿ ರುವನೋ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸುವನು; ಯಾವನನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣಪಡಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವನೋ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣ ಪಡಿಸುವನು.
Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
19 ಆಗ ನೀನು ನನಗೆ--ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಆತನು ಇನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿಯುವದು ಹೇಗೆ? ಆತನ ಚಿತ್ತವನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುವದು ಯಾರಿಂದಾದೀತು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುವಿ.
Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?
20 ಆದರೆ ಓ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೇ, ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಎದುರು ಮಾತನಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀನು ಯಾರು? ರೂಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟದ್ದು ರೂಪಿಸಿದವನಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೀಗೇಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುವದುಂಟೇ?
Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
