Romans 7
14 ನ್ಯಾಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವು ಆತ್ಮೀಕವಾದದ್ದೆಂದು ನಾವು ಬಲ್ಲೆವು; ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಶರೀರಾಧೀನನೂ ಪಾಪದ ಅಧೀನದಲ್ಲಿ ರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾರಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
15 ಹೇಗಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಮಾಡುವದನ್ನು ನಾನೇ ಒಪ್ಪುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಯಾವದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾನು ಇಚ್ಛಿಸುತ್ತೇನೋ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡದೆ ನಾನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸುವದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.
16 ಆದರೆ ನನಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಲ್ಲದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ದರೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವು ಉತ್ತಮವಾದದ್ದೆಂದು ಒಪ್ಪಿ ಕೊಂಡ ಹಾಗಾಯಿತು.
17 ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವನು ಇನ್ನು ನಾನಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಪಾಪವೇ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.
18 ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಶರೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದೇನೂ ವಾಸವಾಗಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದದೆ; ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೇನೋ ಮನಸ್ಸುಂಟು; ಆದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವದು ನನ್ನಿಂದಾಗದು.
19 ನಾನು ಇಚ್ಛಿಸುವ ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡದೆ ಇಚ್ಛಿಸದಿರುವ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ದ್ದನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
20 ಇಚ್ಛಿಸದಿರುವದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದವನು ಇನ್ನು ನಾನಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಪಾಪವೇ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿತು.
21 ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡ ಲಿಚ್ಛಿಸುವ ನನಗೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದಾಗಿರುವ ನಿಯಮವು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಬರುತ್ತದೆ.
22 ಹೀಗಿದ್ದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಒಳಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗನು ಗುಣವಾಗಿ ದೇವರ ನಿಯಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಆನಂದಪಡುವವ ನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
23 ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಅಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇರೊಂದು ನಿಯಮವುಂಟೆಂದು ನಾನು ನೋಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಅದು ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಿಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕಾದಾಡಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸೆರೆ ಹಿಡಿದು ನನ್ನ ಅಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪಾಪದ ನಿಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ವಶಮಾಡುವಂಥದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ.
24 ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ನಾನು ಎಂಥ ನಿರ್ಗತಿಕನಾದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು! ಇಂಥ ಮರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾದ ಈ ದೇಹ ದಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸುವವನು ಯಾರು?
14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

14 ನ್ಯಾಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವು ಆತ್ಮೀಕವಾದದ್ದೆಂದು ನಾವು ಬಲ್ಲೆವು; ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಶರೀರಾಧೀನನೂ ಪಾಪದ ಅಧೀನದಲ್ಲಿ ರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾರಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16 ಆದರೆ ನನಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಲ್ಲದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ದರೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವು ಉತ್ತಮವಾದದ್ದೆಂದು ಒಪ್ಪಿ ಕೊಂಡ ಹಾಗಾಯಿತು.
If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
17 ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವನು ಇನ್ನು ನಾನಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಪಾಪವೇ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.
Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18 ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಶರೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದೇನೂ ವಾಸವಾಗಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದದೆ; ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೇನೋ ಮನಸ್ಸುಂಟು; ಆದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವದು ನನ್ನಿಂದಾಗದು.
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19 ನಾನು ಇಚ್ಛಿಸುವ ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡದೆ ಇಚ್ಛಿಸದಿರುವ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ದ್ದನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 ಇಚ್ಛಿಸದಿರುವದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದವನು ಇನ್ನು ನಾನಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಪಾಪವೇ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿತು.
Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21 ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡ ಲಿಚ್ಛಿಸುವ ನನಗೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದಾಗಿರುವ ನಿಯಮವು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಬರುತ್ತದೆ.
I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22 ಹೀಗಿದ್ದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಒಳಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗನು ಗುಣವಾಗಿ ದೇವರ ನಿಯಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಆನಂದಪಡುವವ ನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23 ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಅಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇರೊಂದು ನಿಯಮವುಂಟೆಂದು ನಾನು ನೋಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಅದು ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಿಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕಾದಾಡಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸೆರೆ ಹಿಡಿದು ನನ್ನ ಅಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪಾಪದ ನಿಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ವಶಮಾಡುವಂಥದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ.
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
24 ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ನಾನು ಎಂಥ ನಿರ್ಗತಿಕನಾದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು! ಇಂಥ ಮರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾದ ಈ ದೇಹ ದಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸುವವನು ಯಾರು?
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
