Psalm 1
1 ಭಕ್ತಿಹೀನರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯಂತೆ ನಡೆಯದೆ ಪಾಪಿಗಳ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಕುಚೋದ್ಯಗಾರರು ಕೂತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ
2 ಕರ್ತನ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನ್ನು ರಾತ್ರಿ ಹಗಲು ಧ್ಯಾನಿಸುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೇ ಧನ್ಯನು.
3 ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಫಲಕೊಡುವಂಥ, ಎಲೆ ಬಾಡದಂಥ, ನೀರಿನ ಹೊಳೆಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಂಥ ಮರದ ಹಾಗಿರುವನು; ಅವನು ಮಾಡು ವದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಫಲವಾಗುವದು.
4 ಭಕ್ತಿಹೀನರು ಹಾಗಲ್ಲ, ಅವರು ಗಾಳಿ ಬಡು ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವ ಹೊಟ್ಟಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.
5 ಆದದರಿಂದ ಭಕ್ತಿಹೀನರು ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪಾಪಿಗಳು ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿಲ್ಲರು.
6 ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನು ಅರಿತಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆದರೆ ಭಕ್ತಿಹೀನರ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ನಾಶವಾಗುವದು.
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
