1 "Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me; and the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, behold, he comes!" says Yahweh of hosts.ಇಗೋ, ನನ್ನ ದೂತನನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡುವನು; ನೀವು ಹುಡುಕುವ ಕರ್ತನು ಫಕ್ಕನೆ ತನ್ನ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವನು; ನೀವು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುವ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ದೂತನೇ, ಇಗೋ, ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆಂದು ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳು ತ್ತಾನೆ.

2 "But who can endure the day of his coming? And who will stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner's fire, and like launderer's soap;ಆದರೆ ಆತನ ಬರುವಿಕೆಯ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರು ಉಳಿದಾರು? ಆತನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಗುವಾಗ ಯಾರು ನಿಲ್ಲುವರು? ಆತನು ಅಕ್ಕಸಾಲಿಗನ ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಅಗಸನ ಚೌಳಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ.

3 and he will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi, and refine them as gold and silver; and they shall offer to Yahweh offerings in righteousness.ಆತನು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನು ಕರಗಿಸಿ ಶುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವವನ ಹಾಗೆ ಕುಳಿತು ಲೇವಿಯ ಕುಮಾರರನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಅವ ರನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವನು.

4 Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasant to Yahweh, as in the days of old, and as in ancient years.ಆಗ ಅವರು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ನೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ಶುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುವನು. ಯೆಹೂದದ ಮತ್ತು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಪೂರ್ವದ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮುಂಚಿನ ವರುಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಆದ ಹಾಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೆಯಾ ಗಿರುವದು.

5 I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against the perjurers, and against those who oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and who deprive the foreigner of justice, and don't fear me," says Yahweh of Hosts.ನ್ಯಾಯಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾನು ಸವಿಾಪಿ ಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಆಗ ಕಣಿಹೇಳುವವರಿಗೂ ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರಿ ಗಳಿಗೂ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡುವವರಿಗೂ ಸಂಬಳ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಲಿಯವನಿಗೂ ವಿಧವೆಗೂ ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದವನಿಗೂ ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡುವವರಿಗೂ ಅನ್ಯನ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ತಿರಿಗಿಸಿ ಬಿಡುವವರಿಗೂ ನನಗೆ ಭಯಪಡದವರಿಗೂ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಶೀಘ್ರವಾದ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಾರನಾಗಿರು ವೆನೆಂದು ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

6 "For I, Yahweh, don't change; therefore you, sons of Jacob, are not consumed.ನಾನು ಕರ್ತನು, ನಾನು ಬದಲಾಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದದರಿಂದ ಓ ಯಾಕೋಬಿನ ಕುಮಾರರೇ, ನೀವು ನಾಶವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.

7 From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from my ordinances, and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you," says Yahweh of Hosts. "But you say, 'How shall we return?'ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಗಳ ದಿವಸಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ನನ್ನ ನಿಯಮ ಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ಆಗ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನೆಂದು ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆದರೆ ನೀವು--ಯಾವದರಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳೋಣ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀರಿ.

8 Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me! But you say, 'How have we robbed you?' In tithes and offerings.ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ದೇವರದನ್ನು ಕಳ್ಳತನ ಮಾಡುವನೋ? ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನದನ್ನು ಕಳ್ಳತನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ಆದರೆ ನೀವು--ಯಾವದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನದನ್ನು, ಕಳ್ಳತನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆಂದು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತೀರಿ? ದಶಮಭಾಗ ಮತ್ತು ಅರ್ಪಣೆಗಳನ್ನೇ.

9 You are cursed with the curse; for you rob me, even this whole nation.ಇದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಶಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿ; ನೀವು, ಹೌದು, ಈ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನಾಂಗವೇ ನನ್ನದನ್ನು ಕಳ್ಳತನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

10 Bring the whole tithe into the store-house, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this," says Yahweh of hosts, "if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough for.ನನ್ನ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಹಾರವಿರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಹತ್ತನೇ ಪಾಲು ಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸದ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನಿರಿ; ಇದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿರಿ; ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಕಾಶದ ಕಿಟಕಿ ಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆದು ಸಾಕಾಗುವಷ್ಟಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುವಷ್ಟು ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ನಿಮಗೆ ಸುರಿಸದಿರುವೆನೇ? ಎಂದು ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

11 I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast its fruit before its time in the field," says Yahweh of Hosts.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನುಂಗಿ ಬಿಡುವವನನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸುವೆನು; ಅವನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೆಡಿಸನು; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇಬಳ್ಳಿ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಫಲ ವನ್ನು ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ಉದುರಿಸಿಬಿಡುವದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

12 "All nations shall call you blessed, for you will be a delightful land," says Yahweh of Hosts.ಜನಾಂಗಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಧನ್ಯರು ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುವರು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನೀವು ರಮ್ಯವಾದ ದೇಶವಾಗುವಿರೆಂದು ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

13 "Your words have been stout against me," says Yahweh. "Yet you say, 'What have we spoken against you?'ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಾತುಗಳು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಬಲವಾಗಿದ್ದವೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ, ನೀವು--ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಇಷ್ಟೊಂದು ನಾವು ಏನು ಮಾತಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಅನ್ನುತ್ತೀರಿ.

14 You have said, 'It is vain to serve God;' and 'What profit is it that we have kept his charge, and that we have walked mournfully before Yahweh of Hosts?ನೀವು--ದೇವರನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವದು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೆಂದೂ ನಾವು ಆತನ ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ದುಃಖವಾಗಿ ನಡೆದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಏನು ಪ್ರಯೋ ಜನವೆಂದೂ ಹೇಳಿದಿರಿ.

15 Now we call the proud happy; yes, those who work wickedness are built up; yes, they tempt God, and escape.'ಈಗ ನಾವು ಗರ್ವಿಷ್ಠ ರನ್ನು ಭಾಗ್ಯವಂತರೆಂದನ್ನುತ್ತೇವೆ; ಹೌದು, ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವ ಮಾಡುವವರು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಹೌದು, ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವವರೇ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

16 Then those who feared Yahweh spoke one with another; and Yahweh listened, and heard, and a book of memory was written before him, for those who feared Yahweh, and who honored his name.ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುವವರು ಒಬ್ಬರ ಸಂಗಡಲೊಬ್ಬರು ಆಗಾಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು; ಕರ್ತನು ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು; ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುವವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಆತನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ನೆನಸುವವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕದ ಪುಸ್ತಕವು ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.

17 They shall be mine," says Yahweh of Hosts, "my own possession in the day that I make, and I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him.ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಆಭರಣಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ನನ್ನವರಾಗಿರುವರೆಂದೂ ಒಬ್ಬನು ತನಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುವ ತನ್ನ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಕನಿಕರಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕನಿಕರಿಸುವೆನೆಂದೂ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

18 Then you shall return and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God and him who doesn't serve him.ಆಗ ನೀವು ತಿಳುಕೊಂಡು ನೀತಿವಂತ ನಿಗೂ ದುಷ್ಟನಿಗೂ ದೇವರ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡುವವನಿಗೂ ಮಾಡದವನಿಗೂ ಇರುವ ಹೆಚ್ಚುಕಡಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ತಿಳುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ.
