1 After these things, he went away from Athens, and came to Corinth.ಇವುಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪೌಲನು ಅಥೇನೆ ಯದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಕೊರಿಂಥಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು

2 And there he came across a certain Jew named Aquila, a man of Pontus by birth, who not long before had come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had given orders that all Jews were to go away from Rome: and he came to them;ಪೊಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಅಕ್ವಿಲನೆಂಬ ಒಬ್ಬ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯ ನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡನು. (ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ರೋಮಾ ಪುರವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕ್ಲೌದ್ಯನು ಆಜ್ಞೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿದ್ದನು). ಆದಕಾರಣ ಅಕ್ವಿಲನೂ ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ಪ್ರಿಸ್ಕಿಲ್ಲಳೂ ಕೆಲವು ದಿವಸಗಳ ಮುಂಚೆ ಇತಾಲ್ಯದಿಂದ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದರು; ಪೌಲನು ಅವರ

3 And because he was of the same trade, he was living with them, and they did their work together; for by trade they were tent-makers.ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ವೃತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಗುಡಾರ ಮಾಡುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಅವ ರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದು ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವನೂ ಅದೇ ಕಸಬಿನವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.

4 And every Sabbath he had discussions in the Synagogue, turning Jews and Greeks to the faith.ಅವನು ಪ್ರತಿ ಸಬ್ಬತ್‌ ದಿನವೂ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಿ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಗ್ರೀಕರನ್ನೂ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.

5 And when Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was completely given up to the word, preaching to the Jews that the Christ was Jesus.ಸೀಲ ತಿಮೊಥೆಯರು ಮಕೆದೋನ್ಯದಿಂದ ಬಂದಾಗ ಪೌಲನು ಆತ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಒತ್ತಾಯ ಮಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಯೇಸುವೇ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನೆಂದು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

6 And when they put themselves against him, and said evil words, he said, shaking his clothing, Your blood be on your heads, I am clean: from now I will go to the Gentiles.ಅವರು ಎದುರಿಸಿ ದೇವದೂಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಝಾಡಿಸಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಿಮ್ಮ ರಕ್ತವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಲೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರಲಿ; ನಾನು ಇಂದಿನಿಂದ ದೋಷರಹಿತನಾಗಿ ಅನ್ಯಜನರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ

7 And moving from there, he went into the house of a man named Titus Justus, a God-fearing man, whose house was very near the Synagogue.ಆ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಯುಸ್ತನೆಂಬವನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋದನು. ಅವನ ಮನೆ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದ ಮಗ್ಗುಲಲ್ಲೇ ಇತ್ತು.

8 And Crispus, the ruler of the Synagogue, with all his family, had faith in the Lord; and a great number of the people of Corinth, hearing the word, had faith and were given baptism.ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದ ಮುಖ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ಪನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಸಹಿತ ಕರ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಟ್ಟನು. ಕೊರಿಂಥ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರು ಕೇಳಿ ನಂಬಿ ಬಾಸ್ತಿಸ್ಮ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.

9 And the Lord said to Paul in the night, in a vision, Have no fear and go on preaching:ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕರ್ತನು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪೌಲನಿಗೆ ದರ್ಶನ ಕೊಟ್ಟು--ನೀನು ಹೆದರಬೇಡ; ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರದೆ ಮಾತ ನಾಡುತ್ತಲೇ ಇರು.

10 For I am with you, and no one will make an attack on you to do you damage: for I have a number of people in this town.ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಯಾರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಕೇಡುಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ಮಂದಿ ನನಗೆ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

11 And he was there for a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.ಅವನು ಒಂದು ವರುಷ ಆರು ತಿಂಗಳು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಉಪದೇಶ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.

12 But when Gallio was ruler of Achaia, all the Jews together made an attack on Paul, and took him to the judge's seat,ಗಲ್ಲಿಯೋನನು ಅಖಾಯದ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿ ಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಒಮ್ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಪೌಲನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಧಂಗೆ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಸ್ಥಾನದ ಮುಂದೆ ಹಿಡುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು--

13 Saying, This man is teaching the people to give worship to God in a way which is against the law.ಇವನು ನ್ಯಾಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತಿಕೂಲವಾಗಿ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

14 But when Paul was about to say something, Gallio said to the Jews, If this was anything to do with wrongdoing or crime, there would be a reason for me to give you a hearing:ಪೌಲನು ಪ್ರತಿವಾದ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದಿ ದ್ದಾಗ ಗಲ್ಲಿಯೋನನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೆ--ಯೆಹೂ ದ್ಯರೇ, ಅನ್ಯಾಯವು ದುಷ್ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಇಂಥದ್ದೇನಾ ದರೂ ಇದ್ದ ಪಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಸಹನ ದಿಂದ ಕೇಳುವದು ನ್ಯಾಯವೇ.

15 But if it is a question of words or names or of your law, see to it yourselves; I will not be a judge of such things.ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಮಾಡುವ ವಿವಾದದ ಮಾತುಗಳೂ ಹೆಸರುಗಳೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿರುವದಾದರೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀವೇ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ಇಂಥ ವಿಷಯ ಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗಂತೂ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ

16 And he sent them away from the judge's seat.ಅವರನ್ನು ನ್ಯಾಯ ಸ್ಥಾನದಿಂದ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು.

17 And they all made an attack on Sosthenes, the ruler of the Synagogue, and gave him blows before the judge's seat; but Gallio gave no attention to these things.ಆಗ ಗ್ರೀಕರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸೋಸ್ಥೆನ ನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ನ್ಯಾಯಸ್ಥಾನದ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊಡೆದರು. ಗಲ್ಲಿಯೋನನಾದರೋ ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಕ್ಕಾದರೂ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

18 And Paul, after waiting some days, went away from the brothers and went by ship to Syria, Priscilla and Aquila being with him; and he had had his hair cut off in Cenchrea, for he had taken an oath.ಪೌಲನಿಗೆ ಹರಕೆಯಿದ್ದ ಕಾರಣ ಕೆಂಖ್ರೆಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತಲೆಬೋಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ಕಾಲ ಇದ್ದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಹೋದರರಿಂದ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಪ್ರಿಸ್ಕಿಲ್ಲ ಅಕ್ವಿಲ್ಲರ ಕೂಡ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಸಿರಿಯಾಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮುದ್ರ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿ

19 And they came down to Ephesus and he left them there: and he himself went into the Synagogue and had a discussion with the Jews.ಎಫೆಸಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟನು; ತಾನಾದರೋ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ತರ್ಕಿಸಿದನು.

20 And being requested by them to be there for a longer time, he said, No;ಅವರು ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೆಲವು ಕಾಲ ಇರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿ ಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಅವನು ಒಪ್ಪದೆ--

21 And went from them, saying, I will come back to you if God lets me; and he took ship from Ephesus.ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವ ಈ ಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಹೇಗಾದರೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇರತಕ್ಕದ್ದು; ದೇವರ ಚಿತ್ತವಾದರೆ ನಾನು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವರ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಎಫೆಸದಿಂದ ಸಮುದ್ರ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿ ದನು.

22 And when he had come to land at Caesarea, he went to see the church, and then went down to Antioch.ಅವನು ಕೈಸರೈಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಸಭೆಯನ್ನು ವಂದಿಸಿ ಅಂತಿಯೋಕ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು.

23 And having been there for some time, he went through the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, making the disciples strong in the faith.ತರುವಾಯ ಅವನು ಅಂತಿಯೋಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಕಾಲ ಇದ್ದು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೊರಟು ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಗಲಾತ್ಯ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಫ್ರುಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಂಚಾರ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಶಿಷ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿದನು.

24 Now a certain Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by birth, and a man of learning, came to Ephesus; and he had great knowledge of the holy Writings.ಅಷ್ಟರೊಳಗೆ ಅಲೆಕ್ಸಾಂದ್ರಿಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಅಪೊಲ್ಲೋಸನೆಂಬ ಒಬ್ಬ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯನು ಎಫೆಸಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದನು. ಅವನು ವಾಕ್ಚಾತುರ್ಯವುಳ್ಳವನು, ಬರಹ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮರ್ಥನು ಆಗಿದ್ದನು.

25 This man had been trained in the way of the Lord; and burning in spirit, he gave himself up to teaching the facts about Jesus, though he had knowledge only of John's baptism:ಇವನು ಕರ್ತನ ಮಾರ್ಗದ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪದೇಶ ಹೊಂದಿದ ವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು; ಆತ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸಕ್ತನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಇವನು ಯೋಹಾನನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದ ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮವನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಬಲ್ಲವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಕರ್ತನ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿ ಉಪದೇಶಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.

26 And he was preaching in the Synagogue without fear. But Priscilla and Aquila, hearing his words, took him in, and gave him fuller teaching about the way of God.ಅವನು ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಿಸ್ಕಿಲ್ಲಳೂ ಅಕ್ವಿಲನೂ ಕೇಳಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ದೇವರ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.

27 And when he had a desire to go over into Achaia, the brothers gave him help, and sent letters to the disciples requesting them to take him in among them: and when he had come, he gave much help to those who had faith through grace:ಅವನು ಅಖಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹ ಮಾಡಿ ಸಹೋದರರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬರೆದರು; ಅವನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದ ನಂಬಿದ್ದವರಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಿದನು;

28 For he overcame the Jews in public discussion, making clear from the holy Writings that the Christ was Jesus.ಹೇಗಂದರೆ ಯೇಸುವೇ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನೆಂದು ಅವನು ಬರಹಗಳಿಂದ ತೋರಿಸಿ ಬಹಿ ರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಬಲವಾಗಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
