Numbers 14 - DBY (Kannada)

1 And the whole assembly lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.1 ಆಗ ಸಭೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವರವೆತ್ತಿ ಕೂಗುವವರಾಗಿ ಆ ರಾತ್ರಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅತ್ತರು.

2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron; and the whole assembly said to them, Would that we had died in the land of Egypt! or in this wilderness would that we had died!ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮೋಶೆಗೂ ಆರೋನ ರಿಗೂ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಗುಣುಗುಟ್ಟಿದರು. ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಾವು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಈ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತರೆ ನಮಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದಾಗಿತ್ತು.

3 And why is Jehovah bringing us to this land that we may fall by the sword, that our wives and our little ones may become a prey? Is it not better for us to return to Egypt?ನಾವು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಕೊಲೆಯಾಗುವಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಸುಲಿಗೆಯಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಕರ್ತನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಈ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ? ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋಗುವದು ನಮಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದಲ್ಲವೋ?

4 And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return to Egypt.ನಾವು ನಾಯಕನೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗೋಣ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರು.

5 Then Moses and Aaron fell upon their faces before the whole congregation of the assembly of the children of Israel.ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯೂ ಆರೋನನೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಭೆಯ ಕೂಟದ ಮುಂದೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದರು.

6 And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, of them that searched out the land, rent their garments.ಆಗ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪಾಳತಿ ನೋಡಿದವರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ನೂನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನೂ ಯೆಫುನ್ನೆಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಕಾಲೇಬನೂ ತಮ್ಮ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಕೊಂಡು

7 And they spoke to the whole assembly of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it out, is a very, very good land.ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಭೆಯ ಕೂಟಕ್ಕೆ--ಪಾಳತಿ ನೋಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವು ದಾಟಿಹೋದ ದೇಶವು ಅತ್ಯು ತ್ತಮವಾದ ದೇಶವೇ.

8 If Jehovah delight in us, he will bring us into this land, and give it us, a land that flows with milk and honey;ಕರ್ತನು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಇಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟರೆ ಹಾಲು ಜೇನೂ ಹರಿಯುವ ಆ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿ ಅದನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ಕೊಡುವನು.

9 only rebel not against Jehovah; and fear not the people of the land; for they shall be our food. Their defence is departed from them, and Jehovah is with us: fear them not.ನೀವಾ ದರೋ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಬೀಳಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಆ ದೇಶದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಅವರು ನಮಗೆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗುವರು; ಅವರಿಗಿದ್ದ ಆಶ್ರಯವು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಹೋಯಿತು; ಕರ್ತನು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ; ಅವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.

10 And the whole assembly said that they should be stoned with stones. And the glory of Jehovah appeared in the tent of meeting to all the children of Israel.ಸಭೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದಿ ದ್ದರು. ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯು ಸಭೆಯ ಗುಡಾರ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಯಿತು.

11 And Jehovah said to Moses, How long will this people despise me? and how long will they not believe me, for all the signs which I have done among them?ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ--ಎಷ್ಟರ ವರೆಗೆ ಈ ಜನರು ನನಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸುವರು? ನಾನು ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡಿಸಿದ ಸಕಲ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯಗಳ ದೆಸೆ ಯಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಮಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೂ ನಂಬದೆ ಇರುವ ರಲ್ಲಾ?

12 I will smite them with the pestilence, and destroy them, and will make of thee a nation greater and mightier than they.ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ವ್ಯಾಧಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆದು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲಮಾಡಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾದ ಬಲವುಳ್ಳ ಜನಾಂಗವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.

13 And Moses said to Jehovah, Then the Egyptians will hear it; for in thy might thou broughtest up this people from the midst of them;ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ--ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವರು; ನೀನು ಈ ಜನರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಲದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದಿಯಲ್ಲಾ!

14 and they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land, [who] have heard that thou, Jehovah, art in the midst of this people, that thou, Jehovah, lettest thyself be seen eye to eye, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them, in a pillar of cloud by day, and in a pillar of fire by night;ಅವರು ಈ ದೇಶದ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಗಳಿಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವರು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ನೀನೇ ಈ ಜನರ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದೀಯೆಂದೂ ಕರ್ತ ನಾದ ನೀನೇ ಮುಖಾಮುಖಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀ ಯೆಂದೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಘವು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತಿದೆ ಯೆಂದೂ ನೀನು ಹಗಲು ಹೊತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇಘ ಸ್ತಂಭದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಗ್ನಿಸ್ತಂಭದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತೀಯೆಂದೂ ಅವರು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

15 if thou now slayest this people as one man, then the nations that have heard thy fame will speak, saying,ಈಗ ನೀನು ಈ ಜನರನ್ನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು--

16 Because Jehovah was not able to bring this people into the land that he had sworn unto them, he has therefore slain them in the wilderness.ಕರ್ತನು ಈ ಜನರನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲು ಶಕ್ತಿಸಾಲದ ಕಾರಣ ಅವರನ್ನು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಿದನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವರು.

17 And now, I beseech thee, let the power of the Lord be great, according as thou hast spoken, saying,ಈಗ ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನನ್ನ ಕರ್ತನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯು ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗಿರಲಿ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಬೇಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.

18 Jehovah is slow to anger, and abundant in goodness, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but by no means clearing [the guilty], visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, upon the third and fourth [generation].ಕರ್ತನು ದೀರ್ಘಶಾಂತನೂ ಮಹಾಕೃಪೆಯುಳ್ಳವನೂ ಅಕ್ರಮವನ್ನೂ ದ್ರೋಹವನ್ನೂ ಮನ್ನಿಸುವಾತನೂ ಅಪರಾಧಿಯನ್ನು ನಿರಪರಾಧಿಯೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸದವನೂ ಮೂರನೇ ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ತಲೆಗಳ ವರೆಗೂ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಅಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವಾತನೂ ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೀಯಲ್ಲಾ?

19 Pardon, I beseech thee, the iniquity of this people according to the greatness of thy loving-kindness, and as thou hast forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.ನಿನ್ನ ಕೃಪೆಯು ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗಿರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೂ ನೀನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ವರೆಗೆ ಮನ್ನಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೂ ಈ ಜನರ ಅಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ದಯ ದಿಂದ ಮನ್ನಿಸು ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು.

20 And Jehovah said, I have pardoned according to thy word.ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು--ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತಿನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮನ್ನಿಸಿ ದ್ದೇನೆ.

21 But as surely as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of Jehovah!ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ನನ್ನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ಭೂಮಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕರ್ತನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿರುವದು.

22 for all those men who have seen my glory, and my signs, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice,ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಾನು ನಡಿಸಿದ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿದ ಈ ಸಕಲ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಈಗ ಹತ್ತು ಸಾರಿ ಶೊಧಿಸಿ ಕೇಳದೆ ಹೋದದ್ದರಿಂದ

23 shall in no wise see the land which I did swear unto their fathers: none of them that despised me shall see it.ನಾನು ಅವರ ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿದ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಅವರು ನೋಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನನಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದವರು ಸಹ ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡು ವದಿಲ್ಲ.

24 But my servant Caleb, because he hath another spirit in him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he came; and his seed shall possess it.ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಕಾಲೇಬನಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವಿದದ್ದರಿಂದಲೂ ಅವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣ ವಾಗಿ ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೂ ಅವನು ಸಂಚರಿಸಿದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ತರುವೆನು; ಅವನ ಸಂತಾನವು ಅದನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದು.

25 (Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwell in the valley.) To-morrow turn you, and take your journey into the wilderness, on the way to the Red sea.(ಆಗ ಅಮಾಲೇ ಕ್ಯರೂ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರೂ ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.) ನಾಳೆ ನೀವು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಕೆಂಪು ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಅರಣ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಡಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

26 And Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,ಕರ್ತನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಮೋಶೆಗೂ ಆರೋನ ನಿಗೂ--

27 How long [shall I bear] with this evil assembly, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.ಈ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಸಭೆಯು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಗುಣುಗುಟ್ಟುವದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಎಷ್ಟುಕಾಲ ಸಹಿಸಲಿ? ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಗುಣುಗುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

28 Say unto them, As surely as I live, saith Jehovah, if I do not do unto you as ye have spoken in mine ears!ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಕಿವಿಗಳು ಕೇಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ನಿಮಗೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

29 In this wilderness shall your carcases fall; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number from twenty years old and upwards, who have murmured against me,ಈ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಣಗಳು ಬೀಳುವವು. ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಗುಣುಗುಟ್ಟಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಎಣಿಸಿದ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರುಷವೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೇಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರಾಯವುಳ್ಳವರೂ ಆದ ನೀವೇ.

30 shall in no wise come into the land, concerning which I have lifted up my hand to make you dwell in it; save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.ಯೆಫುನ್ನೆಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಕಾಲೇಬನು ನೂನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನ ಹೊರತು ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ವಾಸಮಾಡಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಸ್ಸಂದೇಹವಾಗಿ ನೀವು ಬಾರದೆ ಇರುವಿರಿ.

31 But your little ones, of whom ye said they should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land that ye have despised.ಆದರೆ ಸುಲಿಗೆಯಾಗುವರೆಂದು ನೀವು ಹೇಳಿದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ತರುವೆನು; ನೀವು ಅಲಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವರು.

32 And as to you, your carcases shall fall in this wilderness.ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿಯಾದರೋ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಣಗಳು ಈ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಳುವವು.

33 And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ವರುಷ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಣಗಳು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಳಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುವ ತನಕ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜಾರತ್ವ ಗಳನ್ನು ತಾಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.

34 After the number of the days in which ye have searched out the land, forty days, each day for a year shall ye bear your iniquities forty years, and ye shall know mine estrangement [from you].ನೀವು ಆ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ದಿವಸಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಒಂದು ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ವರುಷವಾಗಿ ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ವರುಷ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಪರಾಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತು ನನ್ನ ವಾಗ್ದಾನವನ್ನು ಭಂಗಪಡಿಸಿದ ಫಲವನ್ನು ನೀವು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವಿರಿ.

35 I Jehovah have spoken; I will surely do it unto all this evil assembly which have gathered together against me! in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.ಕರ್ತನಾದ ನಾನು ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿ ಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಈ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಸಮೂಹಕ್ಕೆಲ್ಲಾ ಇದನ್ನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಈ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಕ್ಷೀಣವಾಗಿ ಅದರಲ್ಲೇ ಸಾಯುವರು.

36 And the men whom Moses had sent to search out the land, who returned, and made the whole assembly to murmur against him, by bringing up an evil report upon the land,ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೋಶೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ದವರು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಆ ದೇಶದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟಸುದ್ದಿ ಯನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸಮೂಹವನ್ನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಗುಣುಗುಟ್ಟುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ

37 even those men who had brought up an evil report upon the land, died by a plague before Jehovah.ದೇಶದ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ ಇವರೇ ಕರ್ತನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಧಿಯಿಂದ ಸತ್ತರು.

38 But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, lived still of the men that had gone to search out the land.ಆದರೆ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರೊಳಗೆ ಇಬ್ಬರಾದ ನೂನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನೂ ಯೆಫುನ್ನೆಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಕಾಲೇಬನೂ ಉಳಿದರು.

39 And Moses told all these sayings to all the children of Israel; then the people mourned greatly.ಮೋಶೆಯು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ ಜನರು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ದುಃಖಪಟ್ಟರು.

40 And they rose up early in the morning, and went up to the hill-top, saying, Here are we, and we will go up to the place of which Jehovah has spoken; for we have sinned.ಮರುದಿವಸ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಅವರು ಎದ್ದು ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ತುದಿಯ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿ--ಇಗೋ, ಕರ್ತನು ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿ ಹೋಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಇದ್ದೇವೆ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾವು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಅಂದರು.

41 And Moses said, Why now do ye transgress the commandment of Jehovah? but it shall not prosper!ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯು--ನೀವು ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಯಾಕೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಾರುತ್ತೀರಿ? ಅದು ಸಫಲವಾಗು ವದಿಲ್ಲ.

42 Go not up, for Jehovah is not among you; that ye be not smitten before your enemies;ನಿಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಯದ ಹಾಗೆ ಏರಿ ಹೋಗಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

43 for the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and ye shall fall by the sword; for as ye have turned away from Jehovah, Jehovah will not be with you.ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರೂ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಅವರ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಬೀಳುವಿರಿ. ನೀವು ಕರ್ತನ ಕಡೆ ಯಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಿದ ಕಾರಣ ಆತನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

44 Yet they presumed to go up to the hill-top; but the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and Moses, did not depart from the midst of the camp.ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಹಟಮಾಡಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ತುದಿಯಮೇಲೆ ಏರಿಹೋದರು. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಮಂಜೂಷವೂ ಮೋಶೆಯೂ ಪಾಳೆಯದಿಂದ ಹೊರಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

45 And the Amalekites and the Canaanites who dwelt on that hill, came down and smote them, and cut them to pieces, as far as Hormah.ಆಗ ಆ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರೂ ಕಾನಾ ನ್ಯರೂ ಇಳಿದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ಹೊರ್ಮಾದ ವರೆಗೆ ಅಟ್ಟಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
