ಇವನು ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯರ ಅರಸನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸಿದನು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅದೇ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ನೂರು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ತಲಾಂತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹತ್ತುಸಾವಿರ ಅಳತೆಯ ಗೋಧಿಯನ್ನೂ ಹತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಕೋರ್‌ ಜವೆ ಗೋಧಿಯನ್ನೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಎರಡನೇ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮೂರನೇ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅದೇ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

ಯೆರೆಮಿಯ 49:1
ಅಮ್ಮೋನ್ಯರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿಗೆ ಕುಮಾರರಿ ಲ್ಲವೋ? ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯನಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಅವರ ಅರಸನು ಗಾದನ್ನು ಬಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದು ಯಾಕೆ? ಅವನ ಜನರು ಅದರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವದು ಯಾಕೆ?
