1 Seeing the multitudes, he went up onto the mountain. When he had sat down, his disciples came to him.ಮತ್ತು ಆತನು ಜನಸಮೂಹಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದವನಾಗಿ ಪರ್ವತವನ್ನೇರಿದನು; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನು ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು.

2 He opened his mouth and taught them, saying,ಆತನು ಬಾಯಿ ತೆರೆದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ --

3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.ಆತ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಡವರಾಗಿರುವವರು ಧನ್ಯರು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಪರಲೋಕರಾಜ್ಯವು ಅವರದು.

4 Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted.ದುಃಖಪಡುವವರು ಧನ್ಯರು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಆದರಣೆ ಹೊಂದುವರು.

5 Blessed are the gentle, For they shall inherit the earth.ಸಾತ್ವಿಕರು ಧನ್ಯರು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಬಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದುವರು.

6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, For they shall be filled.ನೀತಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಹಸಿದು ಬಾಯಾರಿದವರು ಧನ್ಯರು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು ತೃಪ್ತಿ ಹೊಂದುವರು.

7 Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy.ಕರುಣೆಯುಳ್ಳವರು ಧನ್ಯರು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಕರುಣೆ ಹೊಂದುವರು.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.ಶುದ್ಧ ಹೃದಯವುಳ್ಳವರು ಧನ್ಯರು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು ದೇವರನ್ನು ನೋಡುವರು.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called children of God.ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಮಾಡುವವರು ಧನ್ಯರು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು ದೇವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವರು.

10 Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness' sake, For theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.ನೀತಿಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಹಿಂಸಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವವರು ಧನ್ಯರು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಪರಲೋಕರಾಜ್ಯವು ಅವರದು.

11 "Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake.ನನ್ನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಜನರು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದೂಷಿಸಿ ಹಿಂಸಿಸಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತರದ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಸುಳ್ಳಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ನೀವು ಧನ್ಯರು.

12 Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.ಸಂತೋಷಿಸಿರಿ, ಅತಿ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸದಿಂದಿರ್ರಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವು ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗಿದೆ; ನಿಮಗಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಇದ್ದ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರು ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಹಿಂಸಿಸಿದರಲ್ಲಾ.

13 "You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its flavor, with what will it be salted? It is then good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men.ನೀವು ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಉಪ್ಪಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಉಪ್ಪು ತನ್ನ ರುಚಿಯನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡರೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಇನ್ನಾತ ರಿಂದ ರುಚಿ ಬಂದೀತು? ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ ಅದು ನಿಷ್ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಾದದ್ದಾಗಿ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಿಸಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಜನರಿಂದ ತುಳಿದಾಡಲ್ಪಡುವದು.

14 You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can't be hidden.ನೀವು ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಳಕಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುವ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಮರೆಯಾಗಿರಲಾರದು.

15 Neither do you light a lamp, and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house.ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ದೀಪವನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತಿಸಿ ಕೊಳಗದೊಳಗೆ ಇಡದೆ ಅದನ್ನು ದೀಪಸ್ತಂಭದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆಗ ಅದು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ಬೆಳಕು ಕೊಡುವದು.

16 Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ಜನರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಮಹಿಮೆಪಡಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬೆಳಕು ಜನರ ಮುಂದೆ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸಲಿ.

17 "Don't think that I came to destroy the law or the prophets. I didn't come to destroy, but to fulfill.ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನಾಗಲೀ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆಗಳ ನ್ನಾಗಲೀ ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಬಂದೆ ನೆಂದು ನೆನಸಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದೆನು.

18 For most assuredly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter{literally, iota} or one tiny pen stroke{or, serif} shall in any way pass away from the law, until all things are accomplished.ಆಕಾಶವೂ ಭೂಮಿಯೂ ಗತಿಸಿ ಹೋಗುವ ತನಕ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ನೆರವೇರದ ಹೊರತು ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣದಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಸೊನ್ನೆಯಾದರೂ ಒಂದು ಗುಡುಸಾದರೂ ಅಳಿದು ಹೋಗುವದೇ ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.

19 Whoever, therefore, shall break one of these least commandments, and teach others to do so, shall be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven; but whoever shall do and teach them shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.ಆದದರಿಂದ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಈ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕ್ಕದಾದ ಒಂದನ್ನು ಮಾರಿ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರೆ ಅವನು ಪರಲೋಕರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲ್ಪನೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವನು; ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರೆ ಅವನೇ ಪರಲೋಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡವನೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡು ವನು.

20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, there is no way you will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ-- ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳ ಮತ್ತು ಫರಿಸಾಯರ ನೀತಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ನೀತಿಯು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದಾಗಿರದ ಹೊರತು ನೀವು ಪರಲೋಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗುವದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

21 "You have heard that it was said to the ancient ones, 'You shall not murder;' and 'Whoever shall murder shall be in danger of the judgment.'ನೀನು ನರಹತ್ಯ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು; ಯಾವನಾ ದರೂ ನರಹತ್ಯಮಾಡಿದರೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪಿನ ಅಪಾ ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಗುವನು ಎಂದು ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರು ಹೇಳಿರು ವದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

22 But I tell you, that everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment; and whoever shall say to his brother, 'Raca{"Raca" is an Aramaic insult, related to the word for "empty" and conveying the idea of empty-headedness.}!' shall be in danger of the council; and whoever shall say, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of the fire of Gehenna{Gehenna is another name for Hell that brings to mind an image of a burning garbage dump with dead bodies in it.}.ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ-- ನಿಷ್ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಸಿಟ್ಟುಗೊಂಡರೆ ಅವನು ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪಿನ ಅಪಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಗುವನು; ಮತ್ತು ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಿಗೆ-- ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದವನೇ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಅವನು ನ್ಯಾಯಸಭೆಯ ಅಪಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಗುವನು

23 "If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you,ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದಾಗ ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾದದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಿಗೆ ಇದೆಯೆಂದು ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ಬಂದರೆ

24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೀನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗಿ ಮೊದಲು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಂದಾಗು; ತರುವಾಯ ಬಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸು.

25 Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are with him in the way; lest perhaps the prosecutor deliver you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and you be cast into prison.ನಿನ್ನ ವಿರೋಧಿಯ ಸಂಗಡ ನೀನು ದಾರಿಯ ಲ್ಲಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ತ್ವರೆಯಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಕೂಡ ಒಂದಾಗು; ಇಲ್ಲವಾದರೆ ಯಾವ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿಯಾದರೂ ಆ ವಿರೋಧಿಯು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಾನು ಮತ್ತು ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಯು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಾನು; ಆಗ ನೀನು ಸೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವಿ.

26 Most assuredly I tell you, you shall by no means get out of there, until you have paid the last penny.{Literally, kodrantes. A kodrantes was a small copper coin worth about 2 lepta (widow's mites)--not enough to buy very much of anything.}ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ--ನೀನು ಕೊನೆಯ ಕಾಸನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ತನಕ ಯಾವ ವಿಧದಿಂದಲೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರುವದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

27 "You have heard that it was said, {TR adds "to the ancients,"} 'You shall not commit adultery;'ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರು ಹೇಳಿರುವದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೀರಿ;

28 but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ--ಒಬ್ಬ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯನ್ನು ಮೋಹಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನೋಡುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಆಗಲೇ ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯ ಕೂಡ ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna.ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಲಗಣ್ಣು ನಿನಗೆ ಅಭ್ಯಂತರವಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಬಿಸಾಡಿಬಿಡು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಇಡೀ ಶರೀರವು ನರಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ನಿನ್ನ ಅಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ನಾಶವಾಗುವದು ನಿನಗೆ ಲಾಭಕರವಾಗಿದೆ.

30 If your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and throw it away from you: for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not your whole body be thrown into Gehenna.ನಿನ್ನ ಬಲಗೈ ನಿನಗೆ ಅಭ್ಯಂತರವಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಡಿದು ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಬಿಸಾಡಿಬಿಡು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಇಡೀ ಶರೀರವು ನರಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ನಿನ್ನ ಅಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ನಾಶವಾಗುವದು ನಿನಗೆ ಲಾಭಕರವಾಗಿದೆ.

31 "It was also said, 'Whoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorce,'ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನು ಆಕೆಗೆ ತ್ಯಾಗಪತ್ರ ಕೊಡಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಯದೆ;

32 but I tell you that whoever puts away his wife, except for the cause of sexual immorality, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries her when she is put away commits adultery.ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ--ಹಾದರದ ಕಾರಣ ದಿಂದಲ್ಲದೆ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವವನು ಆಕೆಯು ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಕಾರಣನಾಗುವನು; ಮತ್ತು ಬಿಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವಳನ್ನು ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಮದುವೆ ಯಾದರೆ ಅವನು ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

33 "Again you have heard that it was said to them of old time, 'You shall not make false vows, but shall perform to the Lord your vows,'ನೀನು ಸುಳ್ಳಾಣೆ ಇಡಬೇಡ; ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರು ಹೇಳಿರುವದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

34 but I tell you, don't swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God;ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ--ಎಷ್ಟು ಮಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೂ ಅಣೆಯನ್ನು ಇಡಬೇಡ. ಪರಲೋಕದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೇಡ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅದು ದೇವರ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನವು.

35 nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of his feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಬೇಡ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅದು ಆತನ ಪಾದಪೀಠವು; ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಬೇಡ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅದು ಆ ಮಹಾ ಅರಸನ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾಗಿದೆ.

36 Neither shall you swear by your head, for you can't make one hair white or black.ನಿನ್ನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೂಡ ಆಣೆ ಇಡಬೇಡ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನೀನು ಒಂದು ಕೂದಲನ್ನಾದರೂ ಬಿಳಿ ಅಥವಾ ಕಪ್ಪು ಮಾಡಲಾರಿ.

37 But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes' and your 'No' be 'no.' Whatever is more than these is of the evil one.ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತು ಹೌದಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಹೌದು, ಅಲ್ಲವಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಅಲ್ಲ ಎಂದಿರಲಿ; ಇವುಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದದ್ದು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದ ರಿಂದ ಬರುವಂಥದ್ದು.

38 "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.'ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ--ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಣ್ಣನ್ನೂ ಹಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯಾಗಿ ಹಲ್ಲನ್ನೂ ತೆಗಿಸು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿರುವದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

39 But I tell you, don't resist him who is evil; but whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ--ನೀವು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಲ ಗೆನ್ನೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಡೆದರೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದನ್ನು ಸಹ ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸು.

40 If anyone sues you to take away your coat, let him have your cloak also.ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಾಡಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲಂಗಿಯನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳ ಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದರೆ ಒಳಂಗಿಯನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟುಬಿಡು.

41 Whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.ಮತ್ತು ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಒಂದು ಮೈಲು ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಲವಂತ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಅವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಎರಡು ಮೈಲು ಹೋಗು.

42 Give to him who asks you, and don't turn away him who desires to borrow from you.ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡು; ಮತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಕಡಾ ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವವನಿಂದ ನೀನು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ.

43 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.'ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ ನಿನ್ನ ವೈರಿಯನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿರು ವದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

44 But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ--ನಿಮ್ಮ ವೈರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿರಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿರಿ; ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡುವವರಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿರಿ; ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಿಂದಿಸುವವರಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಹಿಂಸಿಸುವವರಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿರಿ.

45 that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.ಇದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾ ಗುವಿರಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಆತನು ಕೆಟ್ಟವರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ತನ್ನ ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಉದಯಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಮತ್ತು ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಅನೀತಿವಂತರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಮಳೆ ಸುರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Don't even the tax collectors do the same?ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಮಾಡುವವರನ್ನೇ ನೀವು ಪ್ರೀತಿಮಾಡಿದರೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಯಾವ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲ ಸಿಕ್ಕೀತು? ಸುಂಕದವರೂ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರಲ್ಲವೇ?

47 If you only greet your friends, what more do you do than others? Don't even the tax collectors do the same?ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ವಂದಿಸಿದರೆ ಬೇರೆಯವರಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚೇನು ಮಾಡಿ ದಂತಾಯಿತು? ಸುಂಕದವರು ಸಹ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರಲ್ಲವೇ?

48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.ಆದದರಿಂದ ಪರಲೋಕ ದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯು ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ನಾಗಿರುವಂತೆಯೇ ನೀವೂ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣರಾಗಿರ್ರಿ.
