1 And it came to pass, on one of the days, as he was teaching the people in the temple, and preaching the gospel, there came upon him the chief priests and the scribes with the elders;ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಆತನು ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಯಾಜಕರು ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳು ಹಿರಿಯರ ಕೂಡ ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು

2 and they spake, saying unto him, Tell us: By what authority doest thou these things? or who is he that gave thee this authority?ಆತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾ ಡುತ್ತಾ--ನೀನು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಯಾವ ಅಧಿಕಾರದಿಂದ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀ? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಈ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟವನು ಯಾರು? ನಮಗೆ ಹೇಳು ಅಂದರು.

3 And he answered and said unto them, I also will ask you a question; and tell me:ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ಸಹ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಒಂದು ವಿಷಯ ಕೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ, ನನಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡಿರಿ

4 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men?ಯೋಹಾನನ ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮವು ಪರಲೋಕ ದಿಂದಲೋ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಂದಲೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.

5 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why did ye not believe him?ಆಗ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ--ಪರಲೋಕ ದಿಂದ ಎಂದು ನಾವು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಆತನು--ನೀವು ಯಾಕೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ನಂಬಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವನು.

6 But if we shall say, From men; all the people will stone us: for they are persuaded that John was a prophet.ಆದರೆ--ಮನುಷ್ಯ ರಿಂದ ಎಂದು ನಾವು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರು ನಮಗೆ ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆಯುವರು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಯೋಹಾನನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯೆಂದು ಅವರು ಒಪ್ಪಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡು

7 And they answered, that they knew not whence `it was'.ಅವರು--ಅದು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂ ದಲೋ ನಾವು ಅರಿಯೆವು ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

8 And Jesus said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಯಾವ ಅಧಿಕಾರದಿಂದ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ನಾನೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.

9 And he began to speak unto the people this parable: A man planted a vineyard, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into another country for a long time.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆತನು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಈ ಸಾಮ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿ--ಒಬ್ಬಾನೊಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇತೋಟವನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟು ಅದನ್ನು ಒಕ್ಕಲಿಗರಿಗೆ ವಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಬಹುಕಾಲದ ವರೆಗೆ ಒಂದು ದೂರ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು.

10 And at the season he sent unto the husbandmen a servant, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty.ಫಲ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ತನಗೆ ಬರಬೇಕಾಗಿದ್ದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ತೊಟದ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವಂತೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಆಳನ್ನು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಆದರೆ ಆ ಒಕ್ಕಲಿಗರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ಬರಿದಾಗಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.

11 And he sent yet another servant: and him also they beat, and handled him shamefully, and sent him away empty.ಅವನು ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬ ಆಳನ್ನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಹ ಹೊಡೆದು ಅವಮಾನಪಡಿಸಿ ಬರಿದಾಗಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.

12 And he sent yet a third: and him also they wounded, and cast him forth.ಅವನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಮೂರನೆಯವನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು; ಆಗ ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಹ ಗಾಯಪಡಿಸಿ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದರು.

13 And the lord of the vineyard said, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son; it may be they will reverence him.ಆಗ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇತೋಟದ ಯಜಮಾನನು--ನಾನೇನು ಮಾಡಲಿ? ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಿಯ ಮಗನನ್ನೇ ಕಳುಹಿ ಸುವೆನು. ಅವರು ಇವನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಯಾದರೂ ಇವ ನನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಿಯಾರು ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡನು.

14 But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned one with another, saying, This is the heir; let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.ಆದರೆ ಒಕ್ಕಲಿಗರು ಅವನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ--ಇವನೇ ಬಾಧ್ಯಸ್ಥನು; ಬನ್ನಿರಿ, ಇವ ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕೋಣ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯು ನಮ್ಮದಾಗು ತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.

15 And they cast him forth out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do unto them?ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ತೋಟದ ಹೊರಗೆಹಾಕಿ ಕೊಂದರು. ಹೀಗಿರಲು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇತೋಟದ ಯಜ ಮಾನನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡುವನು?

16 He will come and destroy these husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others. And when they heard it, they said, God forbid.ಅವನು ಬಂದು ಈ ಒಕ್ಕಲಿಗರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇತೋಟ ವನ್ನು ಬೇರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವನು ಅಂದನು. ಅವರು ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ--ಹಾಗೆ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಆಗಬಾರದು ಅಂದರು.

17 But he looked upon them, and said, What then is this that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner?ಆಗ ಆತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ--ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಮನೇ ಕಟ್ಟುವವರು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದ ಕಲ್ಲೇ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದ ಮೂಲೆಗಲ್ಲಾಯಿತು ಎಂದು ಬರೆದಿರು ವದು ಏನು?

18 Every one that falleth on that stone shall be broken to pieces; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will scatter him as dust.ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಆ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದರೆ ತುಂಡುತುಂಡಾಗುವನು. ಆದರೆ ಇದು ಯಾರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳುವದೋ ಅವನನ್ನು ಅದು ಅರೆದು ಪುಡಿಪುಡಿ ಮಾಡುವದು ಅಂದನು.

19 And the scribes and the chief priests sought to lay hands on him in that very hour; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he spake this parable against them.ಅದೇ ಗಳಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕರೂ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳೂ ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈ ಹಾಕುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹವಣಿ ಸಿದರು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅತನು ತಮಗೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿಯೇ ಈ ಸಾಮ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನೆಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು; ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟರು.

20 And they watched him, and sent forth spies, who feigned themselves to be righteous, that they might take hold of his speech, so as to deliver him up to the rule and to the authority of the governor.ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಹೊಂಚಿ ನೋಡಿದವರಾಗಿ ಮಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಸುವಂತೆಯೂ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯ ಬಲಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಧಿಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವಂತೆಯೂ ತಾವು ನೀತಿವಂತರೆಂದು ನಟಿಸುವ ಗೂಢಾಚಾರರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು.

21 And they asked him, saying, Teacher, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, and acceptest not the person `of any', but of a truth teachest the way of God:ಆಗ ಅವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಗುರುವೇ, ನೀನು ಮುಖದಾಕ್ಷಿಣ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಬೋಧಿ ಸುತ್ತೀ; ದೇವರ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಬೋಧಿಸು ವವನಾಗಿದ್ದೀಯೆಂದು ನಾವು ಬಲ್ಲೆವು.

22 Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?ಆದರೆ ಕೈಸರನಿಗೆ ಕಪ್ಪವನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವದು ನ್ಯಾಯವೋ ಅಥವಾ ಅಲ್ಲವೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.

23 But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them,ಆದರೆ ಆತನು ಅವರ ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಯಾಕೆ ಶೋಧಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ?

24 Show me a denarius. Whose image and superscription hath it? And they said, Caesar's.ನನಗೆ ಒಂದು ನಾಣ್ಯವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿರಿ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವನ ರೂಪವೂ ಮೇಲ್ಬರಹವೂ ಇದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲು ಅವರು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ಕೈಸರನದು ಅಂದರು.

25 And he said unto them, Then render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's.ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಕೈಸರನಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಸರನಿಗೂ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವುಗಳನ್ನು ದೇವರಿಗೂ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.

26 And they were not able to take hold of the saying before the people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace.ಆಗ ಅವರು ಜನರ ಮುಂದೆ ಆತನನ್ನು ಮಾತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಸಲಾರದೆ ಆತನ ಉತ್ತರಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟು ಸುಮ್ಮನಿದ್ದರು.

27 And there came to him certain of the Sadducees, they that say that there is no resurrection;ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಗಳೆಯುವ ಸದ್ದುಕಾಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಆತನಿಗೆ--

28 and they asked him, saying, Teacher, Moses wrote unto us, that if a man's brother die, having a wife, and he be childless, his brother should take the wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.ಬೋಧಕನೇ, ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಇದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸತ್ತರೆ ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರನು ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋ ದರನಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಂತಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮೋಶೆಯು ನಮಗೆ ಬರೆದುಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

29 There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died childless;ಹೀಗೆ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿ ಸಹೋದರರು ಇರಲಾಗಿ ಮೊದಲನೆಯವನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸತ್ತನು.

30 and the second:ಎರಡನೆಯ ವನು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸತ್ತನು.

31 and the third took her; and likewise the seven also left no children, and died.ಮೂರನೆಯವನು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾದನು; ಅದೇ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳು ಜನರು ಸಹ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸತ್ತರು.

32 Afterward the woman also died.ಕಡೇ ದಾಗಿ ಆ ಹೆಂಗಸು ಸಹ ಸತ್ತಳು.

33 In the resurrection therefore whose wife of them shall she be? for the seven had her to wife.ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯು ಅವರೊಳಗೆ ಯಾರ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿರುವಳು? ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿಯೂ ಅವಳನ್ನು ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು ಅಂದರು.

34 And Jesus said unto them, The sons of this world marry, and are given in marriage:ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಈ ಲೋಕದ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮದುವೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.

35 but they that are accounted worthy to attain to that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:ಆದರೆ ಆ ಲೋಕವನ್ನೂ ಸತ್ತವರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನವನ್ನೂ ಹೊಂದುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯರೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವವರು ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡು ವದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.

36 for neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರು ಇನ್ನೆಂದಿಗೂ ಸಾಯುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು ದೂತರಿಗೆ ಸರಿಸಮಾನರೂ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನದ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಆಗಿರುವದ ರಿಂದ ಅವರು ದೇವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

37 But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed, in `the place concerning' the Bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.ಮೋಶೆಯು ಸಹ ಪೊದೆಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಕರ್ತನು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ದೇವರೂ ಇಸಾಕನ ದೇವರೂ ಯಾಕೋಬನ ದೇವರೂ ಎಂದು ಕರೆದಾಗ ಸತ್ತವರು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಲ್ಪಡು ತ್ತಾರೆಂಬದನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದನು.

38 Now he is not the God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಆತನು ಜೀವಿಸುವವರಿಗೇ ದೇವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಸತ್ತವರಿ ಗಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಆತನಿಗಾಗಿ ಜೀವಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಅಂದನು.

39 And certain of the scribes answering said, Teacher, thou hast well said.ಆಗ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರ ವಾಗಿ--ಬೋಧಕನೇ, ನೀನು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೀ ಅಂದರು.

40 For they durst not any more ask him any question.ಅವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕೇಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಧೈರ್ಯಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.

41 And he said unto them, How say they that the Christ is David's son?ಆತನು ಅವ ರಿಗೆ--ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ದಾವೀದನ ಮಗನೆಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳುವದು ಹೇಗೆ?

42 For David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,ದಾವೀದನು ತಾನೇ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ ಗಳ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ--ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ--

43 Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet.ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ವೈರಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾದಗಳ ಪೀಠವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವ ವರೆಗೂ ನನ್ನ ಬಲಪಾರ್ಶ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡಿರು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

44 David therefore calleth him Lord, and how is he his son?ಆದಕಾರಣ ದಾವೀದನು ಆತನನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನು ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುವಾಗ ಆತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮಗನಾಗುವದು ಹೇಗೆ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.

45 And in the hearing of all the people he said unto his disciples,ಅಮೇಲೆ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ--

46 Beware of the scribes, who desire to walk in long robes, and love salutations in the marketplaces, and chief seats in the synagogues, and chief places at feasts;ನಿಲುವಂಗಿಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ತಿರುಗಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಯಸುವವರೂ ಸಂತೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಂದನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಔತಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥಾನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವ ವರಾದ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿರ್ರಿ;

47 who devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater condemnation.ಇವರು ವಿಧವೆಯರ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿ ತೋರಿಕೆ ಗಾಗಿ ಉದ್ದವಾದ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಇವರೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದ ದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವರು ಅಂದನು.
