Luke 14 - ASV (Kannada)

1 And it came to pass, when he went into the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees on a sabbath to eat bread, that they were watching him.ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತನು ಸಬ್ಬತ್‌ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಫರಿಸಾಯರ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದಾಗ ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಹೊಂಚಿನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು.

2 And behold, there was before him a certain man that had the dropsy.ಇಗೋ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಜಲೊದರವುಳ್ಳ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಆತನ ಎದು ರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದನು.

3 And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath, or not?ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ನ್ಯಾಯಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಫರಿಸಾಯರಿಗೂ--ಸಬ್ಬತ್‌ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡುವದು ನ್ಯಾಯವೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.

4 But they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go.ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಮೌನವಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಆಗ ಆತನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೈಹಿಡಿದು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಪಡಿಸಿಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.

5 And he said unto them, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a well, and will not straightway draw him up on a sabbath day?ಅವರಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟು-- ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನ ಕತ್ತೆಯಾಗಲೀ ಎತ್ತಾಗಲೀ ಒಂದು ಕುಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಎಳೆಯುವದಿಲ್ಲವೇ ಅಂದನು.

6 And they could not answer again unto these things.ಇವುಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಅವರು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡಲಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದರು.

7 And he spake a parable unto those that were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the chief seats; saying unto them,(ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ) ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರು ತಮಗಾಗಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೆಂದು ಆತನು ಗುರು ತಿಸಿ ಸಾಮ್ಯದಿಂದ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--

8 When thou art bidden of any man to a marriage feast, sit not down in the chief seat; lest haply a more honorable man than thou be bidden of him,ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಗೆ ಕರೆದರೆ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವನು ನಿನಗಿಂತಲೂ ಗೌರವವುಳ್ಳ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಕರೆದಿರ ಬಹುದು;

9 and he that bade thee and him shall come and say to thee, Give this man place; and then thou shalt begin with shame to take the lowest place.ಆಗ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರೆದವನು ಬಂದು ನಿನಗೆ--ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳಕೊಡು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವಾಗ ನೀನು ನಾಚಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಕಡೇ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವದು.

10 But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest place; that when he that hath bidden thee cometh, he may say to thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have glory in the presence of all that sit at meat with thee.ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಾಗ ಹೋಗಿ ಕಡೇ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತುಕೋ; ಆಗ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆದಾತನು ಬಂದು ನಿನಗೆ--ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನೇ, ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವಾಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಜೊತೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂತವರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಗೌರವ ವಿರುವದು.

11 For everyone that exalteth himself shall be humbled; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.ಯಾವನು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳು ತ್ತಾನೋ ಅವನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವನು ಮತ್ತು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವನು ಅಂದನು.

12 And he said to him also that had bidden him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, nor thy kinsmen, nor rich neighbors; lest haply they also bid thee again, and a recompense be made thee.ಆತನು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆದವನಿಗೆ ಸಹ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇ ನಂದರೆ--ನೀನು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿದಾಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರನ್ನಾಗಲೀ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರನ್ನಾಗಲೀ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಂಧುಗಳನ್ನಾಗಲೀ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತರಾದ ನೆರೆಯವರನ್ನಾಗಲೀ ಕರೆಯಬೇಡ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅ

13 But when thou makest a feast, bid the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಔತಣ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದಾಗ ಬಡವರನ್ನೂ ಊನವಾದವರನ್ನೂ ಕುಂಟರನ್ನೂ ಕುರುಡರನ್ನೂ ಕರೆ;

14 and thou shalt be blessed; because they have not `wherewith' to recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed in the resurrection of the just.ಆಗ ಅವರು ನಿನಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುಪಕಾರ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗದಿರುವ ದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ಧನ್ಯನಾಗುವಿ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುಪಕಾರವಾಗುವದು.

15 And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.ಆಗ ಆತನ ಸಂಗಡ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂತವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಈ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ--ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಊಟಮಾಡುವವನು ಧನ್ಯನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

16 But he said unto him, A certain man made a great supper; and he bade many:ಆಗ ಆತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಒಬ್ಬಾನೊಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಔತಣಮಾಡಿಸಿ ಅನೇಕರನ್ನು ಕರೆದನು.

17 and he sent forth his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for `all' things are now ready.ಔತಣದ ಸಮಯವಾದಾಗ ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರಿಗೆ ಅವನು--ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ, ಬನ್ನಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.

18 And they all with one `consent' began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a field, and I must needs go out and see it; I pray thee have me excused.ಆದರೆ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಂದೇ ಮನ ಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ನೆವ ಹೇಳಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿ ಮೊದಲನೆಯವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ಒಂದು ತುಂಡು ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಹೋಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡುವದು ಅವಶ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ; ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.

19 And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them; I pray thee have me excused.ಬೇರೊಬ್ಬನು-- ನಾನು ಐದು ಜೊತೆ ಎತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡಿ ದ್ದೇನೆ, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.

20 And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನು--ನಾನು ಒಬ್ಬಳನ್ನು ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಅದಕೋಸ್ಕರ ನಾನು ಬರ ಲಾರೆನು ಅಂದನು.

21 And the servant came, and told his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor and maimed and blind and lame.ಹೀಗೆ ಆ ಸೇವಕನು ಬಂದು ತನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನಿಗೆ ಈ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ಆ ಮನೇಯಜಮಾನನು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಬೇಗನೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಬೀದಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಸಂದುಗಳಿಗೂ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಡವರನ್ನೂ ಊನವಾದ ವರನ್ನೂ ಕುಂಟರನ್ನೂ ಕುರುಡರನ್ನೂ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳಗೆ ಕರಕೆ

22 And the servant said, Lord, what thou didst command is done, and yet there is room.ಆಗ ಆ ಸೇವಕನು--ಒಡೆಯನೇ, ನೀನು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾ ಯಿತು; ಇನ್ನೂ ಸ್ಥಳವದೆ ಅಂದನು.

23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and constrain `them' to come in, that my house may be filled.ಆಗ ಯಜ ಮಾನನು ಸೇವಕನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಬೀದಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಬೇಲಿಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಮನೆ ತುಂಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಒಳಗೆ ಬರಲು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಲ ವಂತಮಾಡು;

24 For I say unto you, that none of those men that were bidden shall taste of my supper.ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಆ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ನಾದರೂ ನನ್ನ ಔತಣವನ್ನು ರುಚಿನೋಡಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.

25 Now there went with him great multitudes: and he turned, and said unto them,ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಮೂಹಗಳು ಆತನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರಲು ಆತನು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ--

26 If any man cometh unto me, and hateth not his own father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ಯನ್ನಾಗಲೀ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನಾಗಲೀ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನಾಗಲೀ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನಾಗಲೀ ಸಹೋದರರನ್ನಾಗಲೀ ಸಹೋದರಿ ಯರನ್ನಾಗಲೀ ಹೌದು, ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಸಹ ಹಗೆಮಾಡದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯನಾಗಿರ ಲಾರನು.

27 Whosoever doth not bear his own cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ತನ್ನ ಶಿಲುಬೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆಬಾರದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯನಾಗಿರಲಾರನು.

28 For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doth not first sit down and count the cost, whether he have `wherewith' to complete it?ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಗೋಪುರವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಉದ್ದೇಶವುಳ್ಳವನಾದರೆ ಅವನು ಮೊದಲು ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡು ಅದನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಖರ್ಚು ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಉಂಟೋ ಎಂದು ಲೆಕ್ಕ ಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ?

29 Lest haply, when he hath laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, all that behold begin to mock him,ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಹಾಗೆ ಲೆಕ್ಕ ಮಾಡದೆ ಅವನು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರ ಹಾಕಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸದಿದ್ದರೆ ನೋಡುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿ--

30 saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಕಟ್ಟುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿ ಪೂರ್ತಿಮಾಡ ಲಾರದೆ ಹೋದನು ಎಂದು ಅನ್ನುವರು.

31 Or what king, as he goeth to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and take counsel whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಯಾವ ಅರಸನಾದರೂ ಬೇರೆ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವಾಗ ಮೊದಲು ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡು ತನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ (ಸೈನ್ಯ)ದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ಆ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಹತು ಸಾವಿರ (ಸೈನ್ಯ)ದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಎದುರಿಸಲು ಸಮರ್ಥನೋ ಎಂದು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ?

32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and asketh conditions of peace.ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅವನು ಇನ್ನು ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ತನ್ನ ರಾಯಭಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಸಮಾಧಾನದ ಶರತ್ತುಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಕೋರುವ ದಿಲ್ಲವೋ?

33 So therefore whosoever he be of you that renounceth not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಾ ದರೂ ತನಗಿರುವವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯನಾಗಿರಲಾರನು.

34 Salt therefore is good: but if even the salt have lost its savor, wherewith shall it be seasoned?ಉಪ್ಪು ಒಳ್ಳೇದು; ಆದರೆ ಉಪ್ಪು ತನ್ನ ರುಚಿ ಯನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡರೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಇನ್ನಾತರಿಂದ ರುಚಿ ಬಂದೀತು?

35 It is fit neither for the land nor for the dunghill: `men' cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.ಅದು ಭೂಮಿಗಾದರೂ ತಿಪ್ಪೆ ಗಾದರೂ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಿಲ್ಲ; ಅದನ್ನು ಜನರು ಹೊರಗೆ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಕೇಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಿವಿಗಳುಳ್ಳವನು ಕೇಳಲಿ ಅಂದನು.
