1 And the Lord said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests the sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none be defiled for the dead among his people:

2 But for his kin, that is near unto him, that is, for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother,

3 And for his sister a virgin, that is nigh unto him, which hath had no husband; for her may he be defiled.

4 But he shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself.

5 They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.

6 They shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their God: for the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and the bread of their God, they do offer: therefore they shall be holy.

7 They shall not take a wife that is a whore, or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he is holy unto his God.

8 Thou shalt sanctify him therefore; for he offereth the bread of thy God: he shall be holy unto thee: for I the Lord, which sanctify you, am holy.

9 And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire.

10 And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes;

11 Neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother;

12 Neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the Lord.

13 And he shall take a wife in her virginity.

14 A widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, or an harlot, these shall he not take: but he shall take a virgin of his own people to wife.

15 Neither shall he profane his seed among his people: for I the Lord do sanctify him.

16 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

17 Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God.

18 For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,

19 Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded,

20 Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;

21 No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the Lord made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God.

22 He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy.

23 Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he hath a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries: for I the Lord do sanctify them.

24 And Moses told it unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel.

1 ತರುವಾಯ ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ನೀನು ಆರೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಯಾಜಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು--ಸತ್ತವರ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನೂ ಹೊಲೆಯಾಗಬಾರದು.

2 ಆದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಹತ್ತಿರದ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಯಾಗಿ, ಅಂದರೆ ಅವನ ತಾಯಿ, ತಂದೆ, ಮಗ, ಮಗಳು, ಸಹೋದರನಿಗಾಗಿ
But for his kin, that is near unto him, that is, for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother,

3 ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿರದ ಗಂಡನಿಲ್ಲದ ಕನ್ನಿಕೆಯಾದ ಸಹೋದರಿಗಾಗಿ ಅವನು ಹೊಲೆಯಾಗಬಹುದು.
And for his sister a virgin, that is nigh unto him, which hath had no husband; for her may he be defiled.

4 ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಜನರೊಳಗೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನಾಗಿ ರುವದರಿಂದ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನು ಹೊಲೆಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು ಅಪವಿತ್ರಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲೂಬಾರದು.
But he shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself.

5 ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬೋಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಗಡ್ಡದ ಮೂಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬೋಳಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು. ತಮ್ಮ ಶರೀರವನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳ ಬಾರದು.
They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.

6 ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಅಗ್ನಿಯಿಂದ ಮಾಡಿದ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರಪಡಿಸದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು; ಆದಕಾರಣ ಅವರು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ರಾಗಿರುವರು.
They shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their God: for the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and the bread of their God, they do offer: therefore they shall be holy.

7 ಅವರು ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅಪವಿತ್ರಳನ್ನು ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಗಂಡನಿಂದ ಬಿಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು; ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
They shall not take a wife that is a whore, or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he is holy unto his God.

8 ಅವನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸುವ ಕಾರಣ ನೀನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಿಸ ಬೇಕು, ಅವನು ನನಗೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿರುವನು. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಿಸುವ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ನಾನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನು.
Thou shalt sanctify him therefore; for he offereth the bread of thy God: he shall be holy unto thee: for I the Lord, which sanctify you, am holy.

9 ಯಾವದೇ ಯಾಜಕನ ಮಗಳು ವ್ಯಭಿ ಚಾರ ಕೃತ್ಯದಿಂದ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ಅವಳು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರಮಾಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ; ಅವಳನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಡಬೇಕು.
And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire.

10 ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರರೊಳಗೆ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕ ನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಯಾವನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಭಿಷೇಕ ತೈಲವು ಸುರಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆಯೋ ಮತ್ತು ಯಾವನು ಉಡುಪು ಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೋ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲೂಬಾರದು ಮತ್ತು ತನ್ನ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲೂಬಾರದು;

11 ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಯಾವ ಮೃತ ಶರೀರದ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಹೋಗಬಾರದು; ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗಾಗಲಿ ತಾಯಿಗಾಗಲಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊಲೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು.
Neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother;

12 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗಬಾರದು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು; ತನ್ನ ದೇವರ ಅಭಿಷೇಕ ತೈಲದ ಕಿರೀಟವು ಅವನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ; ನಾನೇ ಕರ್ತನು.
Neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the Lord.

13 ಅವನು ತನಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಅವಳ ಕನ್ನಿಕಾವಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
And he shall take a wife in her virginity.

14 ವಿಧವೆ ಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಬಿಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಅಪವಿತ್ರ ಳನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಸೂಳೆಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಇಂಥವರನ್ನು ಅವನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು. ಆದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಕನ್ನಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತನಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
A widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, or an harlot, these shall he not take: but he shall take a virgin of his own people to wife.

15 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಜನರೊಳಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಯನ್ನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು. ಕರ್ತನಾದ ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
Neither shall he profane his seed among his people: for I the Lord do sanctify him.

16 ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--
And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

17 ಆರೋನನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತ ನಾಡಿ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಯು ಅವರ ವಂಶಾವಳಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಿಗೆ ಯಾವದಾದರೂ ಕಳಂಕವಿರುವದಾದರೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬರಬಾರದು.
Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God.

18 ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಕಳಂಕವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾನೋ ಅಂದರೆ ಕಣ್ಣಿಲ್ಲದವನು ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಕುಂಟನು ಚಪ್ಪಟೆ ಯಾದ ಮೂಗುಳ್ಳವನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದ ಅಂಗವುಳ್ಳವನು
For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,

19 ಮುರಿದ ಪಾದವುಳ್ಳವನು ಮುರಿದ ಕೈಯುಳ್ಳವನು
Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded,

20 ಗೂನು ಬೆನ್ನುಳ್ಳವನು ಗಿಡ್ಡನು ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳಂಕವುಳ್ಳವನು ಹುರುಕುಳ್ಳವನು ತುರಿಯುಳ್ಳವನು ತನ್ನ ಬೀಜಹೊಡೆದವನು
Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;

21 ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಆರೋನನ ಸಂತತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳಂಕವುಳ್ಳ ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೂ ಅಗ್ನಿ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸು ವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬರಬಾರದು; ಕಳಂಕವುಳ್ಳವನು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸವಿಾಪಬರಬಾರದು.
No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the Lord made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God.

22 ಅವನು ಅತಿ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ತನ್ನ ದೇವರ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನಬೇಕು.
He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy.

23 ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಕಳಂಕವುಳ್ಳವನಾದದರಿಂದ ತೆರೆಯ ಒಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗ ಬಾರದು ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಸವಿಾಪಕ್ಕೂ ಬರಬಾರದು. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು; ಅವರನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಿಸುವ ಕರ್ತನು ನಾನೇ.
Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he hath a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries: for I the Lord do sanctify them.

24 ಮೋಶೆಯು ಅದನ್ನು ಆರೋನ ನಿಗೂ ಅವನ ಕುಮಾರರಿಗೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
And Moses told it unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel.
