ಆಗ ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ಅಂದರೆ ತೊಳೆಯದಿರುವ ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ತಿನ್ನುವದನ್ನು ಅವರು ನೋಡಿ ತಪ್ಪು ಕಂಡು ಹಿಡಿದರು.

ಯಾವ ಪದಾರ್ಥವೂ ಸ್ವತಃ ಅಶುದ್ಧ ವಾದದ್ದಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು, ಇದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ನಂಬಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಆದರೆ ಯಾವದಾದರೂ ಒಂದು ಪದಾರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಅಶುದ್ಧವೆಂದು ಒಬ್ಬನು ಭಾವಿಸಿದರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅದು ಅಶುದ್ಧವೇ.

ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಪ್ರಧಾನಿಗಳೂ ದೇಶಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳೂ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಭಾರದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತಪ್ಪುಹೊರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂದರ್ಭ ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ತಪ್ಪು ದೋಷವು ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ತಪ್ಪೂ ಸಿಗಲಾರದೆ ಹೋಯಿತು.
ಮತ್ತಾಯನು 23:23
