Luke 15:30
ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಬದುಕನ್ನು ಸೂಳೆಯ ರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನುಂಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟ ಈ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನು ಬಂದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಅವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಕರುವನ್ನು ನೀನು ಕೊಯ್ಸಿದ್ದೀ ಅಂದನು.

ಆದರೆ ತಂದೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ--ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದ ನಿಲುವಂಗಿಯನ್ನು ತಂದು ಇವನಿಗೆ ತೊಡಿಸಿರಿ; ಇವನ ಕೈಗೆ ಉಂಗುರವನ್ನೂ ಪಾದಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೆರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹಾಕಿರಿ;
ಲೂಕನು 15:32
ಆದರೆ ಈ ನಿನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮನು ಸತ್ತವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು, ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬದುಕಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಕಳೆದು ಹೋದ ವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು, ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಾವು ಸಂತೋ ಷಿಸಿ ಆನಂದಪಡುವದು ಯುಕ್ತವಾದದ್ದೇ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು ಅಂದನು.

ಫರಿಸಾಯನು ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನೊಳಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುತ್ತಾ--ದೇವರೇ, ಸುಲು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರೂ ಅನೀತಿವಂತರೂ ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರಿಗಳೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಮಿಕ್ಕಾದವರಂತೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಈ ಸುಂಕದವನ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾನು ಅಲ್ಲ, ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
