ಆದಿಕಾಂಡ 35:1-8

1 And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Beth-el, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.

2 Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:

3 And let us arise, and go up to Beth-el; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went.

4 And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem.

5 And they journeyed: and the terror of God was upon the cities that were round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob.

6 So Jacob came to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan, that is, Beth-el, he and all the people that were with him.

7 And he built there an altar, and called the place El-beth-el: because there God appeared unto him, when he fled from the face of his brother.

8 But Deborah Rebekah’s nurse died, and she was buried beneath Beth-el under an oak: and the name of it was called Allon-bachuth.

1 ದೇವರು ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಗೆ--ಎದ್ದು ಬೇತೇಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡು; ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಏಸಾವನೆದುರಿನಿಂದ ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ನಿನಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟು ಅಂದನು.

2 ಆಗ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರಿಗೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ--ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅನ್ಯದೇವ ರುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿ ಶುದ್ಧರಾಗಿರಿ; ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿರಿ;
Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:

3 ನಾವು ಎದ್ದು ಬೇತೇಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ; ಶ್ರಮೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆಲೈಸಿ ನಾನು ಹೋದ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
And let us arise, and go up to Beth-el; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went.

4 ಆಗ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅನ್ಯದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಕಿವಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಮುರುವು ಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದು ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಅವನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಶೆಕೆಮಿಗೆ ಸವಿಾಪವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಏಲಾಮರದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಹೂಣಿಟ್ಟನು.
And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem.

5 ತರುವಾಯ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟರು. ಆಗ ದೇವರ ಭಯವು ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಯಾಕೋ ಬನ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

6 ಹೀಗೆ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಕಾನಾನ್‌ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಲೂಜಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು, ಅದೇ ಬೇತೇಲ್‌.
So Jacob came to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan, that is, Beth-el, he and all the people that were with him.

7 ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಯಜ್ಞ ವೇದಿಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ತಾನು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನ ಬಳಿ ಯಿಂದ ಓಡಿಹೋದಾಗ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರು ತನಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷನಾದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಏಲ್‌ ಬೇತೇಲ್‌ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು.
And he built there an altar, and called the place El-beth-el: because there God appeared unto him, when he fled from the face of his brother.

8 ಆಗ ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳ ದಾದಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ದೆಬೋರಳು ಸತ್ತಳು. ಬೇತೇಲಿನ ಕೆಳಗಿದ್ದ ಅಲ್ಲೋನ್‌ ಮರದ ಬುಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೂಣಿಟ್ಟರು. ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಅಲ್ಲೋನ್‌ ಬಾಕೂತ್‌ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಾಯಿತು.
But Deborah Rebekah’s nurse died, and she was buried beneath Beth-el under an oak: and the name of it was called Allon-bachuth.
