Deuteronomy 9:4
ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ತಳ್ಳಿಹಾಕಿದಾಗ--ನನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಈ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳ ಬಾರದು; ಆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊರಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ನಾವು ಸಹ ಮೊದಲು ಅವಿವೇಕಿಗಳೂ ಅವಿಧೇಯರೂ ಮೋಸಹೋದ ವರೂ ನಾನಾ ವಿಧವಾದ ದುರಾಶೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಭೋಗಗಳಿಗೆ ದಾಸರೂ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೇಕಿಚ್ಚುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವಿಸುವವರೂ ಅಸಹ್ಯರೂ ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಹಗೆ ಮಾಡುವವರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೆವು.

ಆತನು ನಮ್ಮ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳಿಗನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲ, ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪ ಮತ್ತು ಕೃಪೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ಕರೆಯಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕರೆದನು. ಆತನು ಜಗದುತ್ಪತ್ತಿಗೆ ಮುಂಚೆಯೇ ಆ ಕೃಪೆಯನ್ನು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದನು.

ಆದರೆ ಕರುಣಾನಿಧಿಯಾದ ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಅಪಾರ ವಾದ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ
1 ಕೊರಿಂಥದವರಿಗೆ 4:7
ನಿನಗೂ ಇತರರಿಗೂ ತಾರತಮ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿ ದವರು ಯಾರು? ನೀನು ಹೊಂದದೆ ಇರುವಂಥದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವದು ಇದೆ? ಹೊಂದಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಂದದವನಂತೆ ನೀನು ಯಾಕೆ ಹಿಗ್ಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೀ?

ನಾನೇ ನಾನಾಗಿ ಏನೂ ತಿಳಿಯದವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಅದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ನೀತಿವಂತನಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವಾತನು ಕರ್ತನೇ.

ನೀವು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿರುವ ಕಾರಣ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ; ನೀವು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಬಹಳ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ.
