ಆತನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ ನಡೆಯುವದೇ ಪ್ರೀತಿ; ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯ ಬೇಕೆಂಬದೇ ನೀವು ಮೊದಲಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಕೇಳಿದ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಆತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆದರೆ ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ದೇವರ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದಲೇ ನಾವು ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ದೇವೆಂಬದನ್ನು ತಿಳುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ.
ಯೋಹಾನನು 15:10
ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ಆತನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿರು ವಂತೆಯೇ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡರೆ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವಿರಿ.
ಯೋಹಾನನು 14:15
ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವದಾದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.

ಅಮ್ಮನವರೇ, ನಾನು ಹೊಸ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಬರೆಯದೆ ಮೊದಲಿನಿಂದಲೂ ನಮಗೆ ಇದ್ದ ಆಜ್ಞೆ ಯನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಬರೆಯುವವನಾಗಿ--ನಾವು ಒಬ್ಬರ ನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವರಾಗಿರಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
ರೋಮಾಪುರದವರಿಗೆ 13:8
ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಋಣವೇ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವ ಸಾಲವೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಇರ ಬಾರದು. ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನು ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
ಯೋಹಾನನು 15:14
ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿರುವವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಾಗಿರುವಿರಿ.

ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುವವನೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನು; ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವನು. ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ನಾವು ಏನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡರೂ ಆತನು ನಮ್ಮ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆಂಬದು ನಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನಾವು ಆಶಿಸಿದವುಗಳು ಆತನಿಂದ ನಮಗೆ ದೊರೆತವೆಂಬದು ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿದದೆ.
