ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್ಯನಾದ ಬರ್ಜಿಲ್ಲೈಯನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಕೃಪೆ ಮಾಡು; ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಊಟಮಾಡುವವರಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರಲಿ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನ ಮುಂದೆ ಓಡಿಹೋದಾಗ ಅವರು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನನ್ನ ಹತ್ತಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು.

ದಾವೀದನು ಮಹನಯಿಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಏನಾ ಯಿತಂದರೆ, ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ರಬ್ಬಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ನಾಹಾಷನ ಮಗನಾದ ಶೋಬಿಯೂ ಲೋದೆಬಾ ರಿನ ಊರಿನವನಾಗಿರುವ ಅವ್ಮೆಾಯೇಲನ ಮಗನಾದ ಮಾಕೀರ್

ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೀನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಮಗನಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರ ಒದಗಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯವಸಾಯಮಾಡಿ ಅದರ ಫಲವನ್ನು ತರಬೇಕು. ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಮೆಫೀಬೋಶೆ ತನು ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಊಟ ಮಾಡುವನು ಅಂದನು. ಈ ಚೀಬನಿಗೆ ಹದಿನೈದು ಮಂದಿ ಕುಮಾ ರರೂ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ದಾಸರೂ ಇದ್ದರು.

ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಬಾಗಿಲ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು ತಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ; ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವರವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಬಾಗಿಲನ್ನು ತೆರೆದರೆ ನಾನು ಒಳಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಊಟ ಮಾಡುವೆನು, ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಊಟ ಮಾಡುವನು.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್ಯನಾದ ಬರ್ಜಿಲ್ಲೈಯು ಅರಸ ನನ್ನು ಎನ್ರೋಗೆಲೀಮಿನಿಂದ ಯೊರ್ದನನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ಸಲು ಬಂದನು. ಈ ಬರ್ಜಿಲ್ಲೈಯು ಎಂಭತ್ತು ವರುಷ ದವನಾಗಿ ಮಹಾವೃದ್ಧನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.

ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದಾಗಿರುವದನ್ನು ಮಾಡು. ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಸತ್ತ ವರ ಹಾಗೆ ಇದ್ದಾಗ್ಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭೋಜನ ಮಾಡುವವರೊಳಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟಿ. ನಾನು ಇನ್ನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯನೋ ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಅವನಿಗೆಇನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡು ವದೇನು?
2 ಸಮುವೇಲನು 15:13
ದಾವೀದನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ದೂತನು ಬಂದು --ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಜನರ ಹೃದಯಗಳು ಅಬ್ಷಾ ಲೋಮನ ಕಡೆಗಾದವು ಅಂದನು.
