Joshua 14
6 ಯೂದನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದರು. ಆಗ ಕೆನೆಜ್ಜೀಯನೂ ಯೆಫುನ್ನೆಯ ಮಗನೂ ಆದ ಕಾಲೇಬನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಕಾದೇಶ್ ಬರ್ನೇಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿತು ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಾದ ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತನ್ನು ನೀನು ಬಲ್ಲೆ;
7 ಕರ್ತನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಮೋಶೆಯು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪಾಳತಿ ನೋಡಲು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾದೇಶ್ ಬರ್ನೇಯದಿಂದ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾಗ ನಾನು ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ವರುಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದವನಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು; ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಮಾತನ್ನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದೆನು.
8 ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಂದ ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರು ಜನರ ಹೃದಯ ವನ್ನು ಕರಗಿಸಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದೆನು.
9 ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಶೆಯು ನನಗೆ--ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾಲು ತುಳಿದ ದೇಶವು ನಿನಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯಾಗಿರುವದು ಎಂದು ಆಣೆ ಇಟ್ಟು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
10 ಈಗ ಇಗೋ, ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ಈ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದಂದಿನಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿದ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತೈದು ವರುಷ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಜೀವದಿಂದ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಈಗ ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಇಂದು ಎಂಭತ್ತೈದು ವರುಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
11 ಮೋಶೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಹೇಗೆ ಬಲವಾಗಿ ಇದ್ದೆನೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇದು ವರೆಗೂ ಬಲವಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಾನು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೆ ಆಗ ಇದ್ದ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಈಗಲೂ ಶಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳ ವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
12 ಆದದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ಆ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿದ ಈ ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ಈಗ ನನಗೆ ಕೊಡು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅನಾಕ್ಯರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆಂದೂ ಗೋಡೆಗಳುಳ್ಳ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳುಂಟೆಂದೂ ನೀನು ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೀ. ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸಲು ಶಕ್ತನಾಗಿರುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
13 ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಯೆಫುನ್ನೆಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಕಾಲೇಬ ನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೆಬ್ರೋನನ್ನು ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಯಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
14 ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಕೆನೆಜ್ಯನಾದ ಯೆಫು ನ್ನೆಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಕಾಲೇಬನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿ ದ್ದರಿಂದ ಹೆಬ್ರೋನು ಇಂದಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಅವನ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಯಾಯಿತು.
6 Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the Lord said unto Moses the man of God concerning me and thee in Kadesh-barnea.
7 Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh-barnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart.
8 Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the Lord my God.
9 And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children’s for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the Lord my God.
10 And now, behold, the Lord hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the Lord spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old.
11 As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.
12 Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the Lord spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the Lord will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the Lord said.
13 And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance.
14 Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the Lord God of Israel.

Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the Lord said unto Moses the man of God concerning me and thee in Kadesh-barnea.
7 ಕರ್ತನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಮೋಶೆಯು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪಾಳತಿ ನೋಡಲು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾದೇಶ್ ಬರ್ನೇಯದಿಂದ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾಗ ನಾನು ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ವರುಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದವನಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು; ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಮಾತನ್ನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದೆನು.
Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh-barnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart.
8 ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಂದ ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರು ಜನರ ಹೃದಯ ವನ್ನು ಕರಗಿಸಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದೆನು.
Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the Lord my God.
9 ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಶೆಯು ನನಗೆ--ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾಲು ತುಳಿದ ದೇಶವು ನಿನಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯಾಗಿರುವದು ಎಂದು ಆಣೆ ಇಟ್ಟು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children’s for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the Lord my God.
10 ಈಗ ಇಗೋ, ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ಈ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದಂದಿನಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿದ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತೈದು ವರುಷ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಜೀವದಿಂದ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಈಗ ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಇಂದು ಎಂಭತ್ತೈದು ವರುಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
And now, behold, the Lord hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the Lord spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old.
11 ಮೋಶೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಹೇಗೆ ಬಲವಾಗಿ ಇದ್ದೆನೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇದು ವರೆಗೂ ಬಲವಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಾನು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೆ ಆಗ ಇದ್ದ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಈಗಲೂ ಶಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳ ವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.
12 ಆದದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ಆ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿದ ಈ ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ಈಗ ನನಗೆ ಕೊಡು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅನಾಕ್ಯರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆಂದೂ ಗೋಡೆಗಳುಳ್ಳ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳುಂಟೆಂದೂ ನೀನು ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೀ. ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸಲು ಶಕ್ತನಾಗಿರುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the Lord spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the Lord will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the Lord said.

And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance.
14 ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಕೆನೆಜ್ಯನಾದ ಯೆಫು ನ್ನೆಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಕಾಲೇಬನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿ ದ್ದರಿಂದ ಹೆಬ್ರೋನು ಇಂದಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಅವನ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಯಾಯಿತು.
Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the Lord God of Israel.
