1 ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಆಯಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಯೆರಿಕೋವಿಗೂ ಅದರ ಅರಸನಿಗೂ ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆಯಿಗೂ ಅದರ ಅರಸನಿಗೂ ಮಾಡಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಾಶ ಮಾಡಿ ದನೆಂದೂ ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾ ರೆಂದೂ

ಅವರು ಪಟ್ಟಣ ದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಬಂದ ಕಾರಣ ಅವರು ಈ ಕಡೆ ಆ ಕಡೆ ಇರುವ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದರು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಜೀವದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿಯದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದರು.

ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರನ್ನು ಜೀವದಿಂದ ಇರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಭೆಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನರು ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿದರು.
