John 4 - ASV (Kannada)

1 When therefore the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus was making and baptizing more disciples than Johnಯೇಸು ಯೋಹಾನನಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಶಿಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮ ಮಾಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದದ್ದು ಫರಿಸಾಯರು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ಕರ್ತ ನಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಯಿತು.

2 (although Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples),(ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮ ಮಾಡಿಸು ತ್ತಿದ್ದಾತನು ಯೇಸು ತಾನೇ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಮಾಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು).

3 he left Judea, and departed again into Galilee.ಆಗ ಆತನು ಯೂದಾಯ ವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಗಲಿಲಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದನು.

4 And he must needs pass through Samaria.ಆತನು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಬೇಕಾದದ್ದು ಅವಶ್ಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

5 So he cometh to a city of Samaria, called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph:ಆಗ ಯಾಕೋ ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋಸೇಫನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಸವಿಾಪದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸುಖರ್‌ ಎಂಬ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನು ಬಂದನು.

6 and Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಬಾವಿ ಇತ್ತು; ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರಯಾಣದಿಂದ ಆಯಾಸಗೊಂಡಿರಲಾಗಿ ಆ ಬಾವಿಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಕೂತುಕೊಂಡನು. ಆಗ ಸುಮಾರು ಆರನೇ ತಾಸಾಗಿತ್ತು. (ಅಂದರೆ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಗಂಟೆಯಾ ಗಿತ್ತು).

7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.ಆಗ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ನೀರು ಸೇದುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದಳು; ಯೇಸು ಆಕೆಗೆ--ನನಗೆ ಕುಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡು ಅಂದನು.

8 For his disciples were gone away into the city to buy food.(ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದರು).

9 The Samaritan woman therefore saith unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, who am a Samaritan woman? (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ಸಮಾ ರ್ಯದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಕುಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡು ಎಂದು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯಾದ ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಕೇಳುವದು ಹೇಗೆ? ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೊಕ್ಕು ಬಳಿಕೆ ಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂದಳು.

10 Jesus answered and said unto unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಆಕೆಗೆ--ದೇವರ ದಾನವೇನೆಂಬದೂ ಮತ್ತು--ನನಗೆ ಕುಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡು ಎಂದು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾತನು ಯಾರೆಂಬದೂ ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದರೆ ನೀನು ಆತನನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಿ, ಆತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಜೀವಕರವಾದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: whence then hast thou that living water?ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಅಯ್ಯಾ, ಸೇದುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ಬಾವಿ ಅಳವಾಗಿದೆ; ಹೀಗಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಜೀವಕರವಾದ ನೀರು ನಿನಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂತು?

12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his sons, and his cattle?ತಾನೂ ತನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ತನ್ನ ದನಗಳೂ ಈ ಬಾವಿ ಯಿಂದ ಕುಡಿದು ನಮಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಗಿಂತ ನೀನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ವನೋ? ಅಂದಳು.

13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Every one that drinketh of this water shall thirst again:ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಆಕೆಗೆ--ಈ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ನೀರಡಿಕೆಯಾಗುವದು;

14 but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up unto eternal life.ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಕೊಡುವ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯುವವನಿಗೆ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ನೀರ ಡಿಕೆಯಾಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ನೀರು ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವಕ್ಕೆ ಉಕ್ಕುವ ನೀರಿನ ಬಾವಿಯಾಗಿರುವದು ಅಂದನು.

15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come all the way hither to draw.ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಅಯ್ಯಾ, ನನಗೆ ನೀರಡಿಕೆಯಾಗದಂತೆಯೂ ನೀರು ಸೇದುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಾರದಂತೆಯೂ ನನಗೆ ಈ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕೊಡು ಅಂದಳು.

16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.ಯೇಸು ಆಕೆಗೆ--ಹೋಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಗಂಡನನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಾ ಅಂದನು.

17 The woman answered and said unto him, I have no husband. Jesus saith unto her, Thou saidst well, I have no husband:ಆಗ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರ ವಾಗಿ--ನನಗೆ ಗಂಡನಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದಳು, ಯೇಸು ಆಕೆಗೆ--ನನಗೆ ಗಂಡನಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು ಸರಿಯೇ;

18 for thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: this hast thou said truly.ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಐದು ಮಂದಿ ಗಂಡಂದಿರಿದ್ದರು; ಈಗ ನಿನಗಿರುವವನು ನಿನ್ನ ಗಂಡ ನಲ್ಲ; ಆ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು ಸತ್ಯವಾದದ್ದು ಅಂದನು.

19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.ಆಗ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಅಯ್ಯಾ, ನೀನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯೆಂದು ನಾನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ;

20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳು ಈ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರಾಧಿಸಿದರು; ಆದರೆ ಜನರು ಆರಾಧಿಸತಕ್ಕ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿ ನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಎಂದು ನೀವು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತೀರಿ ಅಂದಳು.

21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, shall ye worship the Father.ಯೇಸು ಆಕೆಗೆ--ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯೇ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಂಬು; ಈ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿಯಾಗಲೀ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿಯಾಗಲೀ ನೀವು ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸದೆ ಇರುವ ಗಳಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ.

22 Ye worship that which ye know not: we worship that which we know; for salvation is from the Jews.ನೀವು ಅರಿಯದೆ ಇರುವದನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿ ಸುತ್ತೀರಿ; ನಾವು ಅರಿತಿರುವದನ್ನೇ ಆರಾಧಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಂದಲೇ.

23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth: for such doth the Father seek to be his worshippers.ನಿಜ ವಾದ ಆರಾಧಕರು ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಆತ್ಮದಿಂದಲೂ ಸತ್ಯ ದಿಂದಲೂ ಆರಾಧಿಸುವ ಗಳಿಗೆಯು ಬರುತ್ತದೆ, ಅದು ಈಗಲೇ ಬಂದಿದೆ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದೆಯು ಅಂಥವರನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾನೆ.

24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship in spirit and truth.ದೇವರು ಆತ್ಮನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆತನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವ ವರು ಆತ್ಮದಿಂದಲೂ ಸತ್ಯದಿಂದಲೂ ಆರಾಧಿಸತಕ್ಕದ್ದು ಅಂದನು.

25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messiah cometh (he that is called Christ): when he is come, he will declare unto us all things.ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಮೆಸ್ಸೀಯನು ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆಂದು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು; ಆತನು ಬಂದಾಗ ನಮಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸುವನು ಅಂದಳು.

26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am `he'.ಯೇಸು ಆಕೆಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ನಾನೇ ಆತನು ಅಂದನು.

27 And upon this came his disciples; and they marvelled that he was speaking with a woman; yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why speakest thou with her?ಅಷ್ಟರೊಳಗೆ ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಬಂದು ಆತನು ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನೆಂದು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯ ಪಟ್ಟರು; ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ--ನಿನಗೆ ಏನು ಬೇಕು? ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಆಕೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತೀ ಎಂದು ಒಬ್ಬ ನಾದರೂ ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.

28 So the woman left her waterpot, and went away into the city, and saith to the people,ಆಗ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ತನ್ನ ನೀರಿನ ಕೊಡವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ--

29 Come, see a man, who told me all things that `ever' I did: can this be the Christ?ಬನ್ನಿರಿ, ನಾನು ಮಾಡಿದವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿರಿ; ಈತನು ಆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲವೇ ಅಂದಳು.

30 They went out of the city, and were coming to him.ಆಗ ಅವರು ಪಟ್ಟಣದಿಂದ ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೊರಟು ಬಂದರು.

31 In the mean while the disciples prayed him, saying, Rabbi, eat.ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಬೋಧಕನೇ, ಊಟ ಮಾಡು ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿ ಕೊಂಡರು.

32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not.ಆದರೆ ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಯದಿರುವ ಆಹಾರವು ನನಗೆ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಇದೆ ಅಂದನು.

33 The disciples therefore said one to another, Hath any man brought him `aught' to eat?ಆದದರಿಂದ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು--ಊಟ ಮಾಡು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಏನಾದರೂ ತಂದು ಕೊಟ್ಟರೋ ಎಂದು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡರು.

34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to accomplish his work.ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾತನ ಚಿತ್ತವನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ ಆತನ ಕೆಲಸ ವನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸುವದೇ ನನ್ನ ಆಹಾರ ಅಂದನು.

35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and `then' cometh the harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white already unto harvest.ನೀವು--ಸುಗ್ಗಿಯು ಬರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ನಾಲ್ಕು ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳು ಇವೆಯೆಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀರಲ್ಲವೋ? ಮತ್ತು--ಇಗೋ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆತ್ತಿ ಹೊಲಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿರಿ, ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವು ಈಗಾ ಗಲೇ ಬೆಳ್ಳಗಾಗಿ ಕೊಯ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದವೆ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.

36 He that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal; that he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.ಕೊಯ್ಯುವವನು ಕೂಲಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿ ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳು ತ್ತಾನೆ; ಹೀಗೆ ಬಿತ್ತುವವನೂ ಕೊಯ್ಯುವವನೂ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಸಂತೋಷಿಸುವರು.

37 For herein is the saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.ಬಿತ್ತುವವನೊಬ್ಬನು, ಕೊಯ್ಯು ವವನು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವ ಮಾತು ಇದ ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.

38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye have not labored: others have labored, and ye are entered into their labor.ನೀವು ಕಷ್ಟಪಡದಂಥ ಬೆಳೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದೆನು. ಬೇರೊಬ್ಬರು ಕಷ್ಟ ಪಟ್ಟರು ನೀವು ಅವರ ಕಷ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ ಅಂದನು.

39 And from that city many of the Samaritans believed on him because of the word of the woman, who testified, He told me all things that `ever' I did.ಆಗ--ನಾನು ಮಾಡಿ ದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದನೆಂದು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಮಾತಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಅನೇಕ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದವರು ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಟ್ಟರು.

40 So when the Samaritans came unto him, they besought him to abide with them: and he abode there two days.ಹೀಗೆ ಆ ಸಮಾರ್ಯ ದವರು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಆತನು ತಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಆತನು ಎರಡು ದಿವಸ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳುಕೊಂಡನು.

41 And many more believed because of his word;ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನರು ಆತನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಮಾತಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಆತನನ್ನು ನಂಬಿದರು.

42 and they said to the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy speaking: for we have heard for ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Saviour of the world.ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಗೆ-- ನಾವು ಈಗ ನಂಬುವದು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತಿನಿಂದಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾವೇ ಸ್ವತಃ ಈತನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಈತನು ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಲೋಕರಕ್ಷಕನಾದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನೆಂದು ಬಲ್ಲೆವು ಅಂದರು.

43 And after the two days he went forth from thence into Galilee.ಎರಡು ದಿವಸಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಗಲಿಲಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು.

44 For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honor in his own country.ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನವಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಯೇಸು ತಾನೇ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು.

45 So when he came into Galilee, the Galilaeans received him, having seen all the things that he did in Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast.ಗಲಿಲಾಯ ದವರು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದಾಗ ಆತನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರು ನೋಡಿ ದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ಗಲಿಲಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಆತನನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದರು.

46 He came therefore again unto Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.ಹೀಗೆ ಯೇಸು ತಾನು ನೀರನ್ನು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸ ವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಗಲಿಲಾಯದ ಕಾನಾನಿಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬಂದನು. ಆಗ ಕಪೆರ್ನೌಮಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪ್ರಧಾನನ ಮಗನು ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.

47 When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought `him' that he would come down, and heal his son; for he was at the point of death.ಯೇಸು ಯೂದಾಯ ದಿಂದ ಗಲಿಲಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದನೆಂದು ಅವನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತಾನು ಬಂದು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಪಡಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಸಾಯುವ ಹಾಗಿದ್ದನು.

48 Jesus therefore said unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will in no wise believe.ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ಸೂಚಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅದ್ಭುತಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೋಡದ ಹೊರತು ನಂಬು ವದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.

49 The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.ಆಗ ಆ ಪ್ರಧಾನನು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ಅಯ್ಯಾ, ನನ್ನ ಮಗನು ಸಾಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲು ಬರಬೇಕು ಅಂದನು.

50 Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. The man believed the word that Jesus spake unto him, and he went his way.ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಹೋಗು, ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನು ಬದುಕಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ ಅಂದನು. ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಯೇಸು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತನ್ನು ನಂಬಿ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು.

51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him, saying, that his son lived.ಹೀಗೆ ಅವನು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಅವನ ಸೇವಕರು ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಸಂಧಿಸಿ--ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನು ಬದುಕಿದನು ಎಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

52 So he inquired of them the hour when he began to amend. They said therefore unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.ಆಗ ಅವನು--ಯಾವ ಗಳಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಗುಣವಾಗತೊಡಗಿತು ಎಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನೆ ಏಳನೇ ತಾಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ವರವು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು ಎಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

53 So the father knew that `it was' at that hour in which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.ಹೀಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನು ಬದುಕುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಯೇಸು ತನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಗಳಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಅದು ಆಯಿತೆಂದು ತಂದೆಯು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ತಾನೂ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಂಬಿದರು.

54 This is again the second sign that Jesus did, having come out of Judaea into Galilee.ಯೇಸು ಯೂದಾಯದಿಂದ ಗಲಿಲಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಮೇಲೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಅದ್ಭುತಕಾರ್ಯವು ಇದಾಗಿದೆ.
