Jeremiah 45
1 ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನ ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ನೇರೀಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬಾರೂಕನ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಹಾಗೆ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ವಾಕ್ಯವೆನಂದರೆ,
2 ಬಾರೂಕನೇ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಈಗ ನನಗೆ ಅಯ್ಯೋ!
3 ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ವ್ಯಥೆಗೆ ದುಃಖವನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನಿಟ್ಟುಸುರು ಬಿಡುವದರಿಂದ ದಣಿದಿ ದ್ದೇನೆ; ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಕಾಣೆನೆಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದಿ ಯಲ್ಲಾ.
4 ನೀನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳತಕ್ಕದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಕಟ್ಟಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಾನು ನೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತು ಹಾಕುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಹೌದು, ಈ ಸಮಸ್ತ ದೇಶವನ್ನೇ ನಾಶಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.
5 ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ನೀನು ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಮಹತ್ತಾದವು ಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತೀಯೋ? ಹುಡುಕಬೇಡ; ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶರೀರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ತರುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆದರೂ ನೀನು ಹೋಗುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.
1 The word that Jeremiah the prophet spake unto Baruch the son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,
2 Thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel, unto thee, O Baruch;
3 Thou didst say, Woe is me now! for the Lord hath added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest.
4 Thus shalt thou say unto him, The Lord saith thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.
5 And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the Lord: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest.
