ಆದರೆ ಕಾರೇಹನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋಹಾನಾ ನನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನೆತನ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಕೇಡನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಳಿದ ಮೇಲೆ

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕಾರೇಹನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋಹಾನಾ ನನೂ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳೂ ಗೆದಲ್ಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಮಿಚ್ಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು

ಆಗ ನೆತನ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲನು ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಹತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದು ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದ ಶಾಫಾನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಹೀಕಾಮನ ಮಗನಾದ ಗೆದಲ್ಯನನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆದು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿ ದರು.

ಆಗ ಆದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಅವರು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಮಧ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ನೆತನ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲನೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಕುಣಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.

ಆಗ ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕಾರೇಹನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋಹಾನಾನನೂ ಹೋಷಾ ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಜನ್ಯನೂ ಕಿರಿಯರು ಮೊದಲು ಗೊಂಡು ಹಿರಿಯರ ವರೆಗೆ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬಂದು
Jeremiah 42:3
ನಾವು ನಡೆಯತಕ್ಕ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ನಾವು ಮಾಡತಕ್ಕ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮಾಡು ಅಂದರು.

ಹೋಷಾಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಜರ್ಯನೂ ಕಾರೇಹನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋಹಾನಾನನೂ ಗರ್ವಿಷ್ಠ ಮನುಷ್ಯ ರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇ ನಂದರೆ-ನೀನು ಸುಳ್ಳು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಯಾ ಗಿರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬಾರದೆಂದು ಹೇಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
