James 3 - YLT (Kannada)

1 Many teachers become not, my brethren, having known that greater judgment we shall receive,ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಬೋಧಕರಾದ ನಮಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ದಂಡನೆಯಾಗುವದೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಹುಮಂದಿ ಬೋಧಕರಾಗಬೇಡಿರಿ.

2 for we all make many stumbles; if any one in word doth not stumble, this one `is' a perfect man, able to bridle also the whole body;ಅನೇಕ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ತಪ್ಪುವದುಂಟು. ಒಬ್ಬನು ಮಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಪ್ಪದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನು ಪರಿ ಪೂರ್ಣನೂ ತನ್ನ ದೇಹವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮರ್ಥನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

3 lo, the bits we put into the mouths of the horses for their obeying us, and their whole body we turn about;ಇಗೋ, ಕುದುರೆಗಳು ನಮಗೆ ವಿಧೇಯವಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವು ಗಳ ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ಕಡಿವಾಣ ಹಾಕುತ್ತೇವಲ್ಲಾ; ಆಗ ಅವುಗಳ ದೇಹವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಿರುಗಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ.

4 lo, also the ships, being so great, and by fierce winds being driven, are led about by a very small helm, whithersoever the impulse of the helmsman doth counsel,ಹಡಗುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ನೋಡಿರಿ. ಅವು ಬಹು ದೊಡ್ಡವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಬಲವಾದ ಗಾಳಿಯಿಂದ ಬಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಬಹು ಸಣ ಚುಕಾಣಿಯಿಂದ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಬಂದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

5 so also the tongue is a little member, and doth boast greatly; lo, a little fire how much wood it doth kindle!ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಕೂಡ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಗೋ, ಎಷ್ಟು ಕೊಂಚ ಕಿಚ್ಚು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಾಡನ್ನು ಸುಡುತ್ತದೆ ನೋಡಿರಿ.

6 and the tongue `is' a fire, the world of the unrighteousness, so the tongue is set in our members, which is spotting our whole body, and is setting on fire the course of nature, and is set on fire by the gehenna.ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಬೆಂಕಿಯೂ ದುಷ್ಟಲೋಕವೂ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ಅದು ನಮ್ಮ ಅಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದು ದೇಹವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೊಲೆಮಾಡಿ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹಚ್ಚುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನರಕದ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಹಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ದಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದೆ.

7 For every nature, both of beasts and of fowls, both of creeping things and things of the sea, is subdued, and hath been subdued, by the human nature,ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಜಾತಿಯು ಸಕಲ ವಿಧವಾದ ಮೃಗ, ಪಕ್ಷಿ, ಸರ್ಪ, ಜಲಚರಗಳನ್ನು ಹತೋಟಿಗೆ ತರುವದುಂಟು ಮತ್ತು ತಂದದ್ದುಂಟು.

8 and the tongue no one of men is able to subdue, `it is' an unruly evil, full of deadly poison,ಆದರೆ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಯಾವ ಮಾನವನೂ ಹತೋ ಟಿಗೆ ತರಲಾರನು. ಅದು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನವಾಗದ ಕೆಡುಕಾ ಗಿದೆ; ಮರಣಕರವಾದ ವಿಷದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿ ಇದೆ.

9 with it we do bless the God and Father, and with it we do curse the men made according to the similitude of God;ಅದೇ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯಿಂದ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ; ಆದರಿಂದಲೇ ದೇವರ ಹೋಲಿಕೆಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ನಾವು ಶಪಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.

10 out of the same mouth doth come forth blessing and cursing; it doth not need, my brethren, these things so to happen;ಅದೇ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಪ ಬರುತ್ತವೆ; ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಇವುಗಳು ಹೀಗಿರಬಾರದು.

11 doth the fountain out of the same opening pour forth the sweet and the bitter?ಒಂದೇ ಊಟೆಯು ಸಿಹಿನೀರನ್ನೂ ಕಹಿನೀರನ್ನೂ ಒಂದೇ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಹೊರಡುವದುಂಟೇ?

12 is a fig-tree able, my brethren, olives to make? or a vine figs? so no fountain salt and sweet water `is able' to make.ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಅಂಜೂರದ ಮರವು ಎಣ್ಣೇಮರದ ಕಾಯಿ ಬಿಡುವದೋ? ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ಬಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಜೂರದ ಹಣ್ಣಾಗುವದೋ? ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಯಾವ ಊಟೆಯೂ ಉಪ್ಪು ನೀರನ್ನೂ ಸಿಹಿ ನೀರನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡಲಾರದು.

13 Who `is' wise and intelligent among you? let him shew out of the good behaviour his works in meekness of wisdom,ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯೂ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತನೂ ಯಾರು? ಅಂಥವನು ಯೋಗ್ಯವಾಗಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಸಾತ್ವಿಕತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಲಿ.

14 and if bitter zeal ye have, and rivalry in your heart, glory not, nor lie against the truth;ಆದರೆ ಕಹಿಯಾದ ಹಗೆತನ ಮತ್ತು ಜಗಳ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯ ಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಇರುವಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಸತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಸುಳ್ಳಾಡಿ ಹೊಗಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡಿರಿ.

15 this wisdom is not descending from above, but earthly, physical, demon-like,ಅದು ಮೇಲಣಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಜ್ಞಾನವಲ್ಲ; ಅದು ಭೂಸಂಬಂಧ ವಾದದ್ದು, ಪ್ರಾಕೃತಭಾವವಾದದ್ದು, ದೆವ್ವಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟದ್ದು.

16 for where zeal and rivalry `are', there is insurrection and every evil matter;ಹೊಟ್ಟೇಕಿಚ್ಚೂ ಜಗಳವೂ ಇರುವ ಕಡೆ ಗಲಿಬಿಲಿಯೂ ಸಕಲವಿಧವಾದ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಕೃತ್ಯವೂ ಇರುವವು.

17 and the wisdom from above, first, indeed, is pure, then peaceable, gentle, easily entreated, full of kindness and good fruits, uncontentious, and unhypocritical: --ಆದರೆ ಮೇಲಣಿಂದ ಬರುವ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಮೊದಲು ನಿರ್ಮಲವಾದದ್ದು, ಆಮೇಲೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನಕರವಾದದ್ದು, ವಿನಯವುಳ್ಳದ್ದು, ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂಥದು, ಕರುಣೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ಫಲಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ತುಂಬಿರುವಂಥದ್ದು ಆಗಿದೆ; ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪಕ್ಷಪಾತವೂ ಕಪಟವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.

18 and the fruit of the righteousness in peace is sown to those making peace.ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಪಡಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀತಿಯ ಫಲವು ಬಿತ್ತಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತದೆ.
