Habakkuk 1
1 ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಹಬಕ್ಕೂಕನು ನೋಡಿದ ದೈವೋಕ್ತಿ.
2 ಓ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಟ್ಟರೂ ಎಷ್ಟರ ವರೆಗೆ ನೀನು ಕೇಳದೇ ಇರುವಿ? ಹಿಂಸೆ ಹಿಂಸೆ ಎಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ಕೂಗುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
3 ಯಾಕೆ ನನಗೆ ಅಪರಾಧವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿ ಕಷ್ಟವನ್ನು ನೋಡಮಾಡುತ್ತೀ? ಸೂರೆಯೂ ಹಿಂಸೆಯೂ ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಅವೆ; ಜಗಳವನ್ನೂ ತರ್ಕವನ್ನೂ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುವವರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.
4 ಆದದರಿಂದ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವು ಸಡಿಲವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ; ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಹೊರಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ದುಷ್ಟರು ನೀತಿ ವಂತರನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಆದದರಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಾಗಿ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪು ಹೊರಡುತ್ತದೆ.

2 O Lord, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!
3 Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.
4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.
