Exodus 8:27
ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಆತನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಂತೆ ಯಜ್ಞಮಾಡುವೆವು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ಆಗ ಆತನು--ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವೆನು; ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆಂಬದಕ್ಕೆ ಇದೇ ನಿನಗೆ ಗುರುತು. ನೀನು ಜನರನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ತಂದ ತರುವಾಯ ನೀವು ಈ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಮೇಲೆ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.

ತರುವಾಯ ಮೋಶೆಯೂ ಆರೋನನೂ ಹೋಗಿ ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ--ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು--ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಜನರು ನನಗೆ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನಾಚರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೋಗಗೊಡಿಸು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ ಅಂದರು.
Exodus 10:26
ನಮ್ಮ ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವೆವು. ಒಂದು ಗೊರಸೆಯಾದರೂ ಬಿಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಆರಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವುಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ಆರಿಸ ಬೇಕು. ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂಬದು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವವರೆಗೂ ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.

ನಾನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವದನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸು; ಇಗೋ, ಅಮೋರಿಯರನ್ನೂ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯ ರನ್ನೂ ಹಿತ್ತಿಯರನ್ನೂ ಪೆರಿಜೀಯರನ್ನೂ ಹಿವ್ವಿಯರನ್ನೂ ಯೆಬೂಸಿಯರನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಎದುರಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿ ಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.
