ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಯೆಬೂಸಿಯರನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಯೆಬೂಸಿಯರು ಈ ದಿನದ ವರೆಗೆ ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾ ನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಂಗಡ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಆಗ ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವರ ಗೋತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಚೀಟು ಬಿದ್ದಿತು. ಅವರ ಮೇರೆಯು ಯಾವವಂದರೆ: ಯೂದನ ಮಕ್ಕ ಳಿಗೂ ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ನಡುವೆ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.

ಆಗ ಅರಸನೂ ಅವನ ಜನರೂ ದೇಶದ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಗಳಾದ ಯೆಬೂಸಿಯರು ಒಳಗೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು. ದಾವೀದನು ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಬರಲಾರನೆಂದು ಅವರು ನೆನಸಿ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಕುರುಡರನ್ನೂ ಕುಂಟರನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕದ ಹೊರತು ನೀನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬರಲಾರಿ ಅಂದರು.
