Ecclesiastes 7 - DBY (Kannada)

1 A [good] name is better than precious ointment, and the day of death than the day of one's birth.1 ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ತೈಲಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಹೆಸರು ಉತ್ತಮ; ಒಬ್ಬನ ಜನ್ಮದಿನಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮರಣದ ದಿನವೇ ಮೇಲು.

2 It is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting: in that that is the end of all men, and the living taketh it to heart.ಔತಣದ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಗೋಳಾಟದ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗು ವದು ಲೇಸು; ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಅಂತ್ಯವು ಇದಾಗಿದೆ; ಇದರಿಂದ ಜೀವಿತನು ಅದನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.

3 Vexation is better than laughter; for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better.ನಗೆಗಿಂತ ದುಃಖವು ವಾಸಿ; ಹೃದಯದ ದುಃಖದ ಭಾವನೆಯಿಂದ ಹೃದಯವು ಗುಣವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

4 The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning, but the heart of fools in the house of mirth.ಗೋಳಾಟದ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯ ಹೃದಯವು ಇರುವದು; ಮೂಢರ ಹೃದಯವು ಉಲ್ಲಾ ಸದ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವದು.

5 It is better for a man to hear the rebuke of the wise, than to hear the song of fools.ಮೂಢರ ಹಾಡನ್ನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಕೇಳುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳ ಗದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವದು ಲೇಸು.

6 For as the crackling of thorns under a pot, so is the laughter of the fool. This also is vanity.ಗಡಿಗೆಯ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಳ ಚಟಚಟನೆಯ ಶಬ್ದ ಹೇಗೋ ಮೂಢನ ನಗುವು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇರುವದು; ಇದೂ ಕೂಡ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೇ.

7 Surely oppression maketh a wise man mad, and a gift destroyeth the heart.ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರವು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯನ್ನು ಹುಚ್ಚನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ; ಲಂಚವು ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.

8 Better is the end of a thing than its beginning; better is a patient spirit than a proud spirit.ಒಂದು ಸಂಗತಿಯ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭ ಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಅದರ ಅಂತ್ಯವೇ ಲೇಸು; ಆತ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಗರ್ವಿಷ್ಠ ನಿಗಿಂತ ತಾಳ್ಮೆಯುಳ್ಳವನೇ ಉತ್ತಮ.

9 Be not hasty in thy spirit to be vexed; for vexation resteth in the bosom of fools.ಕೋಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆತುರಪಡದಿರು; ಕೋಪವು ಮೂಢರ ಎದೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ.

10 Say not, How is it that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not inquire wisely concerning this.ಹಿಂದಿನ ದಿವಸಗಳು ಈ ದಿವಸಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಮೇಲಾ ಗಿರುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕಾರಣವೇನು ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಳ ಬೇಡ. ಈ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ವಿಚಾರಿ ಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

11 Wisdom is as good as an inheritance, and profitable to them that see the sun.ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದು. ಸೂರ್ಯನನ್ನು ನೋಡುವವರಿಗೆ ಅದರಿಂದ ಲಾಭ ವಿದೆ.

12 For wisdom is a defence [as] money is a defence; but the excellency of knowledge is, [that] wisdom maketh them that possess it to live.ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಆಶ್ರಯ, ಧನವು ಆಶ್ರಯ; ಆದರೆ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆ ಏನಂದರೆ, ಅದನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದವರಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಜೀವವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ.

13 Consider the work of God; for who can make straight what he hath made crooked?ದೇವರ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಯೋಚಿಸು; ಆತನು ಡೊಂಕು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಯಾವನು ನೆಟ್ಟಗೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಶಕ್ತನು.

14 In the day of prosperity enjoy good, and in the day of adversity consider: God hath also set the one beside the other, to the end that man should find out nothing [of what shall be] after him.ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗಿರು; ಆದರೆ ವಿಪತ್ಕಾಲದ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಚಿಸು; ತನ್ನ ಅಂತ್ಯ ಬಂದಾಗ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಯಾವದನ್ನು ನೋಡದಂತೆ ದೇವರು ಸಹ ಒಂದರ ಮೇಲೊಂದನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

15 All [this] have I seen in the days of my vanity: there is a righteous [man] that perisheth by his righteousness, and there is a wicked [man] that prolongeth [his days] by his wickedness.ನನ್ನ ವ್ಯರ್ಥದ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನೀತಿವಂತನು ತನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಶವಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ. ದುಷ್ಟನು ತನ್ನ ದುಷ್ಟತನದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಜೀವಮಾನವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

16 Be not righteous overmuch; neither make thyself overwise: why shouldest thou destroy thyself?ನೀನು ಅತಿ ಯಾಗಿ ನೀತಿವಂತನಾಗಿರಬೇಡ; ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಅತಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ; ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ಯಾಕೆ ನಾಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ?

17 Be not overmuch wicked, neither be thou foolish: why shouldest thou die before thy time?ನೀನು ಅತಿ ಯಾಗಿ ದುಷ್ಟನಾಗಿರಬೇಡ; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಮೂರ್ಖನಾಗಿರ ಬೇಡ; ನಿನ್ನ ಸಮಯಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ನೀನು ಯಾಕೆ ಸಾಯುವಿ?

18 It is good that thou shouldest take hold of this; yea, also from that withdraw not thy hand: for he that feareth God cometh forth from them all.ನೀನು ಇದನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವದು ಒಳ್ಳೇದು. ಹೌದು, ಇದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂತೆ ಗೆಯಬೇಡ; ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುವವನು ಅವೆಲ್ಲವು ಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರುವನು.

19 Wisdom strengtheneth the wise more than ten mighty [men] that are in a city.ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರಿಗಿಂತ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

20 Surely there is not a righteous man upon earth, that doeth good and sinneth not.ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡದೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನೇ ನಡಿಸುವ ನೀತಿವಂತನು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.

21 Also give not heed unto all words that are spoken, lest thou hear thy servant curse thee.ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸುವದನ್ನು ನೀನು ಕೇಳದಂತೆ ಆಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀನು ಸಹ ಲಕ್ಷಿಸಬೇಡ;

22 For also thine own heart knoweth that oftentimes thou thyself likewise hast cursed others.ಅದೇ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನೀನು ನೀನಾಗಿಯೇ ಅನೇಕಸಲ ಇತರರನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸಿದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಿಳಿದದೆ;

23 All this have I tried by wisdom: I said, I will be wise; but it was far from me.ಇದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಆಗ--ನಾನು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾಗಿರುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಅಂದು ಕೊಂಡೆನು; ಅದು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಯಿತು.

24 Whatever hath been, is far off, and exceeding deep: who will find it out?ದೂರ ದಲ್ಲಿರುವದನ್ನೂ ಅಗಾಧದಲ್ಲಿರುವದನ್ನೂ ಯಾವನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡಾನು?

25 I turned, I and my heart, to know, and to search, and to seek out wisdom and reason, and to know wickedness to be folly, and foolishness to be madness;ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಮೂಲತತ್ವಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮೂಢತನದ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನವನ್ನೂ ಅಂದರೆ ಮೂಢತನ ವನ್ನೂ ಹುಚ್ಚುತನವನ್ನೂ ತಿಳುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸು ವವನಾಗಿಯೂ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಯೋ ಗಿಸಿದೆನು.

26 and I found more bitter than death the woman whose heart is nets and snares, [and] whose hands are bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be caught by her.ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ಉರುಲುಗಳೂ ಬಲೆ ಗಳೂ ಅವಳ ಕೈಗಳ ಕಟ್ಟುಗಳೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಮರಣಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಕಠೋರವಾಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆಂದು ನಾನು ಕಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ದೇವರನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದವನು ಅವಳಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು; ಪಾಪಿಯು ಅವಳಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿಯಲ್ಪ ಡುವನು.

27 See this which I have found, saith the Preacher, [searching] one by one to find out the reason;ಇಗೋ, ಲೆಕ್ಕವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿಯಲು ಒಂದೊಂದನ್ನಾಗಿ ಎಣಿಸಿ ನಾನು ಇದನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡೆ ನೆಂದು ಪ್ರಸಂಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ:

28 which my soul yet seeketh, and I have not found: one man among a thousand have I found, but a woman among all those have I not found.ಅದನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತದೆ; ನನಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಸಾವಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪುರುಷನನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡಿ ದ್ದೇನೆ; ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಹೆಂಗಸನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.

29 Only see this which I have found: that God made man upright, but they have sought out many devices.ಇಗೋ, ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಸತ್ಯವಂತನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ನಾನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಅವರಾದರೋ ಅನೇಕ ಕಲ್ಪನೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
