Ecclesiastes 2 - DBY (Kannada)

1 I said in my heart, Come now, I will try thee with mirth, therefore enjoy pleasure. But behold, this also is vanity.1 ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ--ಹೋಗು, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಂತೋಷದ ಮೂಲಕ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವೆನು; ಆದಕಾರಣ ಸುಖವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸು ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡೆನು. ಇಗೋ, ಇದು ಕೂಡ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೇ.

2 I said of laughter, Madness! and of mirth, What availeth it?ನಗೆಯ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ--ಇದು ಹುಚ್ಚು ಎಂದೂ ಸಂತೋಷದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ--ಇದೇನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದೂ ನಾನು ಹೇಳಿದೆನು.

3 I searched in my heart how to cherish my flesh with wine, while practising my heart with wisdom; and how to lay hold on folly, till I should see what was that good for the children of men which they should do under the heavens all the days of their life.ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಇನ್ನು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಾನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆಯೂ ಆಕಾಶದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವ ಮಾನದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಪುತ್ರರಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದೇನೆಂದು ನೋಡುವ ತನಕ ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಹೀನತೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೂ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯ ದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡೆನು.

4 I made me great works; I builded me houses; I planted me vineyards;ನಾನು ಮಹ ತ್ತಾದ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸಿದೆನು, ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡೆನು; ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾತೋಟಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟೆನು.

5 I made me gardens and parks, and I planted trees in them of every kind of fruit;ಉದ್ಯಾನ ವನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹಣ್ಣು ತೋಟಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತರತರವಾದ ಹಣ್ಣಿನ ವೃಕ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟೆನು.

6 I made me ponds of water, to water therewith the wood, where the trees are reared.ವೃಕ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವ ಮರಕ್ಕೆ ನೀರು ಹಾಯಿಸುವ ದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಕೊಳಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡೆನು.

7 I acquired servants and maidens, and had servants born in my house; also I had great possessions of herds and flocks, above all that had been in Jerusalem before me.ನನಗೆ ದಾಸದಾಸಿಯರು ಇದ್ದರು; ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ದಾಸರು ನನಗೆ ಇದ್ದರು; ನನಗೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ಯೆರೂಸ ಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದವರಿಗಿಂತ ದನಕುರಿಗಳ ಸಂಪತ್ತು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾ ಗಿತ್ತು.

8 I gathered me also silver and gold, and the peculiar treasure of kings and of the provinces; I got me men-singers and women-singers, and the delights of the children of men, a wife and concubines.ನಾನು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಬಂಗಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಅರಸರ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳ ವಿಶೇಷವಾದ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡೆನು; ಗಾಯಕ ಗಾಯಕಿಯರನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಪುತ್ರರಿಗೆ ಆನಂದಕರವಾದ ಸಂಗೀತ ವಾದ್ಯ ಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡೆನು.

9 And I became great, and increased more than all that had been before me in Jerusalem: also my wisdom remained with me.ಹೀಗೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಇದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ನಾನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಹೊಂದಿ ದೊಡ್ಡವನಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು.

10 And whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from them: I withheld not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my labour, and this was my portion from all my labour.ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಬಯಸಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ಹಿಂತೆಗೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಯಾವ ಸಂತೋಷಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ನಾನು ತಡೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಯಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ಸಂತೋಷಿಸಿತು; ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಯಾಸ ದಿಂದೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನಗಾದ ಪಾಲು ಇದೆ.

11 Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that it had cost me to do [them]; and behold, all was vanity and pursuit of the wind, and there was no profit under the sun.ಆಗ ನನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳು ನಡಿಸಿದವುಗಳೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಪ್ರಯಾಸ ಪಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರಯಾಸವನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದೆನು; ಇಗೋ, ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ವ್ಯರ್ಥ ಮತ್ತು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಆಯಾಸಕರ. ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಯಾವ ಲಾಭವಿಲ್ಲ.

12 And I turned myself to behold wisdom, and madness, and folly; for what shall the man [do] that cometh after the king? -- that which hath already been done.ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನೂ ಹುಚ್ಚುತನವನ್ನೂ ಮೂಢತೆಯನ್ನೂ ನೋಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡೆನು; ಅರಸನ ತರುವಾಯ ಬರುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಏನು ಮಾಡಾನು? ಮೊದಲಿದ್ದದ್ದು ಆಗಲೇ ನಡೆಯಿತು.

13 And I saw that wisdom excelleth folly, as light excelleth darkness.ಆಗ ಕತ್ತಲೆಗಿಂತ ಬೆಳಕು ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ಮೂಢತನಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಕಂಡೆನು.

14 The wise man's eyes are in his head, and the fool walketh in darkness; but I myself also perceived that one event happeneth to them all.ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಅವನ ತಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತವೆ. ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನು ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಒಂದೇ ಗತಿಯು ಸಂಭವಿಸುವದೆಂದು ನನ್ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನೇ ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡೆನು.

15 And I said in my heart, As it happeneth to the fool so will it happen even to me; and why was I then so wise? Then I said in my heart that this also is vanity.ಆಗ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ --ಮೂಢನಿಗೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸುವಂತೆ ನನಗೂ ಸಂಭವಿಸು ತ್ತದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಯಾಕೆ ನಾನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡೆನು. ಆಗ ನಾನು ಇದೂ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೆಂದು ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದು ಕೊಂಡೆನು.

16 For there shall be no remembrance of the wise more than of the fool for ever; because everything is already forgotten in the days which come. And how dieth the wise even as the fool?ಮೂಢನಿಗಿಂತ ಜ್ಞಾನವಂತನ ಜ್ಞಾಪ ಕವು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಈಗ ಇರುವದು ಬರುವ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಮೂಢನಂತೆ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯೂ ಸಾಯುವದು ಹೇಗೆ?

17 And I hated life; for the work that is wrought under the sun was grievous unto me; for all is vanity and pursuit of the wind.ಆದಕಾರಣ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡಿದೆನು; ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ನಡೆಯುವ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ವ್ಯಥೆಯಾಗಿ ನನಗೆ ತೋರಿತು; ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೂ ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಆಯಾಸಕ ರವೂ ಆಗಿವೆ.

18 And I hated all my labour wherewith I had been toiling under the sun, because I should leave it unto the man that shall be after me.ಹೌದು, ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಪಟ್ಟ ನನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಯಾಸವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡಿದೆನು; ನನ್ನ ತರು ವಾಯ ಬರುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಇದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡಬೇಕು.

19 And who knoweth whether he will be a wise [man] or a fool? yet shall he have rule over all my labour at which I have laboured, and wherein I have been wise under the sun. This also is vanity.ಅವನು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯೋ ಮೂಢ ನೋ ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತು? ಆದರೂ ನಾನು ಪಟ್ಟ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಯಾಸದ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ನಾನು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯೆಂದು ತೋರ್ಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಅವನು ಆಳುವನು. ಇದೂ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೇ.

20 Then I went about to cause my heart to despair of all the labour wherewith I had laboured under the sun.ಆದದರಿಂದ ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಸ ಪಟ್ಟ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಯಾಸದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ನಿರಾಶೆಗೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ನಾನು ತಿರುಗಾಡಿದೆನು.

21 For there is a man whose labour hath been with wisdom, and with knowledge, and with skill, and who leaveth it to a man that hath not laboured therein, to be his portion. This also is vanity and a great evil.ಜ್ಞಾನ ದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಸಪಟ್ಟ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆದರೂ ಇವು ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಸಪಡದೆ ಇದ್ದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಪಾಲಾಗಿ ಅವನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವನು. ಇದು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೂ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕೇಡೂ ಆಗಿದೆ.

22 For what will man have of all his labour and of the striving of his heart, wherewith he hath wearied himself under the sun?ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ತಾನು ಪ್ರಯಾಸ ಪಟ್ಟ ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಆಯಾಸಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ತನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಯಾಸಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಏನು ಸಿಕ್ಕುತ್ತದೆ?

23 For all his days are sorrows, and his travail vexation: even in the night his heart taketh no rest. This also is vanity.ಅವನ ದಿವಸಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ವ್ಯಸನಮಯವೇ, ಅವನ ಪ್ರಯಾಸವು ದುಃಖಮಯವೇ; ಹೌದು, ಅವನ ಹೃದಯವು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದೂ ಕೂಡ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೇ.

24 There is nothing good for man, but that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God.ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಯಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಸುಖವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ತಿಂದು ಕುಡಿಯುವ ದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದದ್ದು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಯಾವದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಇದೂ ಕೂಡ ದೇವರ ಕೈಯಿಂದಲೇ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಕಂಡೆನು.

25 For who can eat, or who be eager, more than I?ನನಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಯಾವನು ತಿನ್ನಲು ಶಕ್ತನು? ಯಾವನು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತುರ ಪಡಶಕ್ತನು?

26 For he giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy; but to the sinner he giveth travail to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good in God's sight. This also is vanity and pursuit of the wind.ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ವನಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನೂ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ಆನಂದವನ್ನೂ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ದೇವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಒದಗಿಸು ವಂತೆ ಪಾಪಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೂ ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಆಯಾಸಕರವೂ ಆಗಿದೆ.
