Deuteronomy 20 - DBY (Kannada)

1 When thou goest out to war against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, [and] a people more numerous than thou, thou shalt not fear them; for Jehovah thy God is with thee, who brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ರಥ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಿನಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದ ಜನರನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿದರೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ; ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ.

2 And it shall be, when ye approach unto the battle, that the priest shall draw near and speak unto the people,ನೀವು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಸವಿಾಪ ಬಂದಾಗ ಯಾಜಕನು ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬಂದು ಜನರ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಅವ ರಿಗೆ--

3 and shall say unto them, Hear, Israel, ye are approaching this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be afraid of them;ಓ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ ಕೇಳು, ನೀವು ಈಹೊತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಸವಿಾಪ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯಗಳು ಬಳಲಬಾರದು; ನೀವು ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡಿರಿ, ನಡುಗಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೆದರಲೂಬೇಡಿರಿ ;

4 for Jehovah your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು.

5 And the officers shall speak unto the people, saying, What man is there that hath built a new house, and hath not dedicated it? let him go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it.ಆಗ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಜನಕ್ಕೆ--ಹೊಸ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಗೃಹಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೆಮಾಡದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯಲಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಗೃಹಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೆಮಾಡದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಲಿ.

6 And what man is there that hath planted a vineyard, and hath not eaten of it? let him go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man eat of it.ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇತೋಟವನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟು ಅದರ ಫಲ ವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನದೆ ಇರುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯಲಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಅದರ ಫಲ ತಿನ್ನದಹಾಗೆ ಅವನು ಸಹ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಲಿ.

7 And what man is there that hath betrothed a wife, and hath not taken her? let him go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man take her.ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಯನ್ನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಲಿ ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯಲಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಾನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು.

8 And the officers shall speak further unto the people, and shall say, What man is there that is timid and faint-hearted? let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren's heart melt as well as his heart.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಜನಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತೆ--ಭಯಸ್ತನಾಗಿ ಬಳಲಿಹೋದ ಹೃದಯವುಳ್ಳ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಯಾವನು? ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಂತೆ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರ ಹೃದಯವು ಬಳಲಿಹೋಗದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು.

9 And it shall be, when the officers have ended speaking unto the people, that they shall place captains of the hosts at the head of the people.ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಗಳು ಜನರ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದಾಗ ಜನರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆಯತಕ್ಕ ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಬೇಕು.

10 When thou approachest unto a city to fight against it, thou shalt proclaim peace unto it.ನೀನು ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಒಂದು ಪಟ್ಟ ಣದ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬಂದರೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಬೇಕು.

11 And it shall be, if it make thee answer of peace, and open unto thee, then all the people that are found therein shall be tributaries unto thee, and they shall serve thee.ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ನಿನಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನದ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಬಾಗಲನ್ನು ತೆರೆದರೆ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರು ನಿನಗೆ ಕಪ್ಪಕೊಟ್ಟು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಬೇಕು.

12 And if it will not make peace with thee, but will make war with thee, then thou shalt besiege it;ಅದು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗಲೊಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಬೇಕು.

13 and when Jehovah thy God delivereth it into thy hand, thou shalt smite every male thereof with the edge of the sword:ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಅದನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ಅದರ ಗಂಡಸರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆಯಬೇಕು.

14 only the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that shall be in the city, all the spoil thereof, shalt thou take as booty for thyself; and thou shalt eat the spoil of thine enemies, which Jehovah thy God giveth theeಆದರೆ ಹೆಂಗಸರನ್ನೂ ಚಿಕ್ಕವ ರನ್ನೂ ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಅದರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯನ್ನೂ ನಿನಗಾಗಿ ಸುಲುಕೊಳ್ಳ ಬೇಕು; ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಡುವಂಥ ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯನ್ನು ತಿಂದುಬಿಡಬೇಕು.

15 Thus shalt thou do unto all the cities that are very far off from thee, which are not of the cities of these nations.ಹೀಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಈ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲದಂಥ, ನಿನಗೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿರುವಂಥ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾಗೇ ಮಾಡ ಬೇಕು.

16 But of the cities of these peoples which Jehovah thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth,ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುವ ಈ ಜನಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಶ್ವಾಸ ವುಳ್ಳ ಯಾವದನ್ನಾದರೂ ಉಳಿಸಬಾರದು.

17 but shalt utterly devote them to destruction, the Hittites and the Amorites, the Canaanites and the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, as Jehovah thy God hath commanded thee;ಆದರೆ ಹಿತ್ತಿಯರನ್ನೂ ಅಮೋರಿಯರನ್ನೂ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಪೆರಿ ಜ್ಜೀಯರನ್ನೂ ಹಿವ್ವಿಯರನ್ನೂ ಯೆಬೂಸಿಯರನ್ನೂ

18 that they teach you not to do according to all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods, so that ye sin against Jehovah your God.ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಸಹ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಲಿಸದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿರ್ಮೂಲ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು.

19 When thou shalt besiege a city many days, in making war against it to take it, thou shalt not destroy the trees thereof by lifting up an axe against them; for thou canst eat of them; and thou shalt not cut them down, for is the tree of the field a man that it should be besieged?ನೀನು ಒಂದು ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವಹಾಗೆ ಬಹಳದಿವಸ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದರೆ ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲಿತಾಗಿಸಿ ಕೆಡಿಸಬೇಡ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವುಗಳ ಹಣ್ಣನ್ನು ನೀನು ತಿನ್ನಬಹುದು. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಸಹಾಯವಾಗುವದ ಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಕಡಿದುಹಾಕಬಾರದು. ಹೊಲದ ಮರಗಳು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಜೀವಕ್ಕಾಗಿವೆ.

20 Only the trees which thou knowest are not trees for meat, thou mayest destroy and cut them down, and build bulwarks against the city that maketh war with thee, until it fall.ಆಹಾರಕ್ಕಾಗದ ಮರ ಗಳೆಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿರುವ ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಕೆಡಿಸಿ ಕಡಿದುಹಾಕಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಅದು ಬೀಳುವ ತನಕ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಬಹುದು.
