Daniel 5 - ASV (Kannada)

1 Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before the thousand.ಅರಸನಾದ ಬೆಲ್ಯಚ್ಚರನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾವಿರ ಮಂದಿಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಔತಣವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿ, ಆ ಸಾವಿರ ಮಂದಿಯ ಮುಂದೆ ಅವನು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿದನು.

2 Belshazzar, while he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king and his lords, his wives and his concubines, might drink therefrom.ಆ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ರುಚಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಬೆಲ್ಯಚ್ಚರನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ದೇವಾಲಯ ದೊಳಗಿಂದ ತಂದ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಬಂಗಾರಗಳ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನೂ ಅವನ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳೂ ಅವನ ಪತ್ನಿ ಮತ್ತು ಉಪಪತ್ನಿಯರು ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ತರಲು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.

3 Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God which was at Jerusalem; and the king and his lords, his wives and his concubines, drank from them.ಆಗ ಅವರು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ದೇವಾಲಯದೊಳಗಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಪಾತ್ರೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ತಂದರು. ಅರಸನೂ ಅವನ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳೂ ಪತ್ನಿ ಮತ್ತು ಉಪಪತ್ನಿಯರೂ ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಡಿದರು.

4 They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.ಅವರು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿದು ಬಂಗಾರ, ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ, ಕಂಚು, ಕಬ್ಬಿಣ, ಮರ ಮತ್ತು ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳತೊಡಗಿದರು.

5 In the same hour came forth the fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaster of the wall of the king's palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.ಅದೇ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಹಸ್ತವು ಬಂದು ದೀಪಸ್ತಂಭಕ್ಕೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಅರಮನೆಯ ಗೋಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುಣ್ಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದವು; ಅರಸನು ಆ ಬರೆಯುವ ಕೈಭಾಗವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದನು.

6 Then the king's countenance was changed in him, and his thoughts troubled him; and the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.ಆಗ ಅರಸನ ಮುಖವು ಕಳೆಗುಂದಿತು, ಅವನ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಳವಳಪಡಿಸಿದವು. ಅವನ ನಡುವಿನ ಕೀಲುಗಳು ಸಡಿಲವಾದವು. ಅವನ ಮೊಣಕಾಲುಗಳು ಒಂದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಬಡಿದುಕೊಂಡವು.

7 The king cried aloud to bring in the enchanters, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. The king spake and said to the wise men of Babylon, Whosoever shall read this writing, and show me the interpretation thereof, shall be clothed with purple, and have a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಿರುಚಿ ಜ್ಯೋತಿಷ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರನ್ನೂ ಶಕುನರನ್ನೂ ಕರೆಸಿ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಜ್ಞಾನಿ ಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಯಾವನೂ ಈ ಬರಹವನ್ನು ಓದಿ ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವನೋ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಧೂಮ್ರವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹೊದಿಸಿ ಅವನ ಕೊರಳಿಗೆ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಹಾರವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮೂರನೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಯಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.

8 Then came in all the king's wise men; but they could not read the writing, nor make known to the king the interpretation.ಆಗ ಅರಸನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ಒಳಗೆ ಬಂದರು. ಆದರೆ ಆ ಬರಹ ವನ್ನು ಓದಲೂ ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿ ಸಲೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಗದೆಹೋಯಿತು.

9 Then was king Belshazzar greatly troubled, and his countenance was changed in him, and his lords were perplexed.ಆಗ ಅರಸ ನಾದ ಬೇಲ್ಯಚ್ಚರನು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಕಳವಳಪಟ್ಟನು, ಅವನ ಮುಖವು ಕಳೆಗುಂದಿತು. ಅವನ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳು ವಿಸ್ಮಯಗೊಂಡರು.

10 `Now' the queen by reason of the words of the king and his lords came into the banquet house: the queen spake and said, O king, live forever; let not thy thoughts trouble thee, nor let thy countenance be changed.ಆಗ ಅರಸನ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ರಾಣಿಯು ಔತಣದ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಓ ಅರಸನೇ, ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಬಾಳು. ನಿನ್ನ ಆಲೋ ಚನೆಗಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳವಳಪಡಿಸದಿರಲಿ; ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಖವು ಕಳೆಗುಂದದಿರಲಿ;

11 There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, were found in him; and the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, `I say', thy father, made him master of the magicians, enchanters, Chaldeans, and soothsayers;ನಿನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ದೇವರುಗಳ ಆತ್ಮವುಳ್ಳ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ದೇವ ರುಗಳ ಜ್ಞಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಾನವಾದ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ ವಿವೇಕವೂ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಕಾಶವೂ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನೊಳಗೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂದವು. ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರ ಅರಸನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಮಂತ್ರಗಾರರಿಗೂ ಜ್ಯೋತಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೂ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರಿಗೂ ಶಕುನಗಾರರಿಗೂ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು.

12 forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and showing of dark sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar. Now let Daniel be called, and he will show the interpretation.ಬೆಲ್ಶೆಚ್ಚರನೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಅರಸನಿಂದ ಪಡೆದ ಆ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನಲ್ಲಿ ಕನಸುಗಳ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಕಠಿಣವಾದ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಮರ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚುವ ದಕ್ಕೂ ಉತ್ತಮ ಆತ್ಮವೂ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ ವಿವೇಕವೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿ ದವು ಅಂದಳು. ಈಗ ಆ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಿ ಸಿದರೆ ಅವನು ಈ ಬರಹದ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸುವನು ಅಂದಳು.

13 Then was Daniel brought in before the king. The king spake and said unto Daniel, Art thou that Daniel, who art of the children of the captivity of Judah, whom the king my father brought out of Judah?ಆಗ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆ ತರಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು. ಅರಸನು ದಾನಿಯೇಲನಿಗೆ--ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಯೆಹೂದದಿಂದ ತಂದ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಸೆರೆಯವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು ನೀನೋ?

14 I have heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods is in thee, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom are found in thee.ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರುಗಳ ಆತ್ಮ ಉಂಟೆಂದೂ ಬೆಳಕೂ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯೂ ಉತ್ತಮ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇವೆ ಎಂದೂ ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

15 And now the wise men, the enchanters, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing, and make known unto me the interpretation thereof; but they could not show the interpretation of the thing.ಈಗ ಈ ಬರಹವನ್ನು ಓದುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಅದರ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸು ವದಕ್ಕೂ ಜ್ಯೋತಿಷ್ಯರಾದ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ತರಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಆದರೆ ಇದರ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಲಾರದೆ ಹೋದರು.

16 But I have heard of thee, that thou canst give interpretations, and dissolve doubts; now if thou canst read the writing, and make known to me the interpretation thereof, thou shalt be clothed with purple, and have a chain of gold about thy neck, and shalt be the third ruler in the kingdom.ನೀನು ಅರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸುವದ ರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮರ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚುವದರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಮರ್ಥನೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಹೀಗಾದರೆ ಆ ಬರಹವನ್ನು ಓದುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಧೂಮ್ರವಸ್ತ್ರ ಧರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಕೊರಳಿಗೆ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಹಾರ ಹಾಕಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವನಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮೂರನೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಯಾಗುವಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

17 Then Daniel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another; nevertheless I will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation.ಆಗ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ದಾನಗಳು ನಿನಗಿರಲಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡು, ನಾನು ಬರಹವನ್ನು ಓದಿ ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸು ವೆನು ಅಂದನು.

18 O thou king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father the kingdom, and greatness, and glory, and majesty:ಓ ಅರಸನೇ, ಮಹೋನ್ನತನಾದ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಮಹತ್ತನ್ನೂ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಘನ ವನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

19 and because of the greatness that he gave him, all the peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him: whom he would he slew, and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he raised up, and whom he would he put down.ಆತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮಹ ತ್ತಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಸಕಲ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳೂ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳೂ ಭಾಷೆಯವರೂ ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೆದರಿ ನಡುಗಿ ದರು; ತನಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದವರನ್ನು ಬದುಕಿಸಿ ಬೇಡವಾದ ವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದನು, ಇಷ್ಟವಿದ್ದವರನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ಇಷ್ಟವಿಲ್ಲ ದವರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟನು.

20 But when his heart was lifted up, and his spirit was hardened so that he dealt proudly, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:ಆದರೆ ಯಾವಾಗ ಅವನ ಹೃದಯವು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತೋ ಆಗ ಅವನ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಗರ್ವದಿಂದ ಕಠಿಣವಾಯಿತು. ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದಿಂದ ಇಳಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು. ಅವನ ಘನವನ್ನು ಅವನಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿದರು;

21 and he was driven from the sons of men, and his heart was made like the beasts', and his dwelling was with the wild asses; he was fed with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; until he knew that the Most High God ruleth in the kingdom of men, and that he setteth up over it whomsoever he will.ಅವನು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಮಕ್ಕಳೊಳಗಿಂದ ತೆಗೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು; ಮಹೋನ್ನತನಾದ ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಆಳುತ್ತಾನೆಂದೂ ಅವನು ತಿಳಿಯುವ ತನಕ ಬೇಕಾದವರನ್ನು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನೇಮಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆಂದೂ ಅವನು ತಿಳಿಯುವಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಹೃದಯವು ಮೃಗಗಳ ಹೃದಯದಂತಾಯಿತು, ಅವನ ನಿವಾಸವು ಕಾಡುಕತ್ತೆಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಇತ್ತು; ಅವನಿಗೆ ಎತ್ತುಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಹುಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಮೇಯಿಸಿದರು; ಅವನ ಶರೀರವು ಆಕಾಶದ ಮಂಜಿನಿಂದ ತೇವವಾಯಿತು.

22 And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thy heart, though thou knewest all this,ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಓ ಬೇಲ್ಯಚ್ಚರನೇ--ನೀನು ಇದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಿಳಿದರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸದೆ

23 but hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou and thy lords, thy wives and thy concubines, have drunk wine from them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know; and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified.ಪರಲೋಕದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವಿ; ಆತನ ಆಲಯದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಗೆ ತಂದರು, ಆಗ ನೀನು, ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪತ್ನಿ ಉಪಪತ್ನಿಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿದು ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಕಣ್ಣು ಕಿವಿಗಳಿಲ್ಲದ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಬಂಗಾರ ಕಂಚು ಕಬ್ಬಿಣ ಮರ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸಿದಿ; ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಯಾರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿದೆಯೋ ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗಳು ಯಾರ ಅಧೀನದಲ್ಲಿವೆಯೋ ಆ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಘನಪಡಿಸಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

24 Then was the part of the hand sent from before him, and this writing was inscribed.ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ಆತನಿಂದ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಕೈಯ ಭಾಗವು ಬಂದು ಆ ಬರಹವನ್ನು ಬರೆಯಿತು.

25 And this is the writing that was inscribed: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.ಆ ಬರಹವು ಏನಂದರೆ ಮೆನೇ ಮೆನೇ ತೇಕಲ್‌ ಉಫ ರ್ಸಿನ್‌,

26 This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and brought it to an end;ಇದರ ಅರ್ಥವು ಹೀಗಿದೆ--ಮೆನೇ ಅಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಕಾಲವನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸಿ ಕೊನೆ ಗಾಣಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ;

27 TEKEL; thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.ತೇಕೆಲ್‌ ಅಂದರೆ ನೀನು ತಕ್ಕಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೂಗಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿರುವಿ.

28 PERES; thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.ಪೆರೇಸ್‌ ಅಂದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ವಿಭಿನ್ನವಾಗಿ ಮೇದ್ಯಯರಿಗೂ ಪಾರಸೀಯರಿಗೂ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ ಎಂಬದಾಗಿ ಅರಿಕೆಮಾಡಿದನು.

29 Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with purple, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.ಆಗ ಬೇಲ್ಯಚ್ಚರನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಲು ದಾನಿಯೇಲನಿಗೆ ಧೂಮ್ರ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹೊದಿಸಿ, ಅವನ ಕೊರಳಿಗೆ ಹಾರವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ, ಇವನು ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮೂವರು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನೆಂದು ಸಾರಿ ದನು.

30 In that night Belshazzar the Chaldean King was slain.ಅದೇ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಬೇಲ್ಯಚ್ಚರನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು.

31 And Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about threescore and two years old.ಮೇದ್ಯಯನಾದ ದಾರ್ಯಾವೆಷನು ಅರವತ್ತೆರಡು ವರುಷದವನಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.
