1 And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.ಸೌಲನು ಅವನ ಕೊಲೆಗೆ ಸಮ್ಮತಿಸು ವವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆರೂಸ ಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಸಭೆಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಹಿಂಸೆ ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು. ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಯೂದಾಯ ಸಮಾರ್ಯ ಸೀಮೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚದರಿಹೋದರು.

2 And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.ಭಕ್ತರಾದ ಜನರು ಸ್ತೆಫನನನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಹೂಣಿಟ್ಟು ಅವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಗೋಳಾಡಿದರು.

3 As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.ಆದರೆ ಸೌಲನು ಮನೆಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಕ್ಕು ಗಂಡಸರನ್ನೂ ಹೆಂಗಸರನ್ನೂ ಎಳಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಸೆರೆಮನೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಸಿ ಸಭೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.

4 Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.ಚದರಿಹೋದವರು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಗೂ ಹೋಗಿ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸಾರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನು ಸಮಾರ್ಯ ವೆಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿರುವವರಿಗೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದನು.

6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಸೂಚಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಿ ಜನರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಅವನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಆ ವಿಷಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಮ್ಮನಸ್ಸಾಗಿ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

7 For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.ಅನೇಕರನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದ ಅಶುದ್ಧಾತ್ಮಗಳು ಮಹಾಶಬ್ದದಿಂದ ಕೂಗಿ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದವು; ಅನೇಕ ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವವಾಯು ರೋಗಿಗಳೂ ಕುಂಟರೂ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥರಾದರು.

8 And there was great joy in that city.ಹೀಗೆ ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹು ಸಂತೋಷವಾಯಿತು.

9 But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:ಆದರೆ ಇದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಸೀಮೋನ ನೆಂಬವನೊಬ್ಬನು ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾನು ಏನೋ ಒಬ್ಬ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡು ಮಂತ್ರ ತಂತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸಿ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆರ ಗನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.

10 To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.ಚಿಕ್ಕವರು ಮೊದಲು ಗೊಂಡು ದೊಡ್ಡವರ ಪರ್ಯಂತರ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ--ಇವನು ದೇವರ ಮಹಾಶಕ್ತಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ ಅವ ನಿಗೆ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

11 And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.ಬಹುಕಾಲದಿಂದಲೂ ಅವನು ಮಂತ್ರತಂತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸಿ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆರ ಗನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅವರು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.ಆದರೆ ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನು ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿನ ವಿಷಯ ದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಾರುತ್ತಾ ಇರಲು ಗಂಡಸರೂ ಹೆಂಗಸರೂ ನಂಬಿ ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.

13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.ಆಗ ಸೀಮೋ ನನು ಕೂಡ ನಂಬಿ ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಇದ್ದು ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯಗಳೂ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳೂ ಉಂಟಾಗುವದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಬೆರಗಾದನು.

14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:ಸಮಾರ್ಯದವರು ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದ ವರ್ತಮಾನವನ್ನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರು ಕೇಳಿ ಪೇತ್ರ ಯೋಹಾನರನ್ನು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು.

15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:ಇವರು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನನ್ನು ಅವರು ಹೊಂದಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರಿ ಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)(ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನ ಮೇಲಾದರೂ ಇನ್ನೂ ಬಂದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಹೆಸರಿ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮವನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು).

17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನಿಡಲು ಅವರು ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದರು.

18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರು ಕೈಗಳನ್ನಿಡುವದರ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮ ಕೊಡೋ ಣವಾಗುವದನ್ನು ಸೀಮೋನನು ನೋಡಿ ಹಣವನ್ನು ತಂದು--

19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.ನಾನು ಯಾರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನಿಡುತ್ತೇನೋ ಅವರು ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವಂತೆ ಈ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ವನ್ನು ನನಗೂ ಕೊಡಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.

20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.ಆದರೆ ಪೇತ್ರನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಹಣವು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೂಡ ಹಾಳಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಲಿ; ನೀನು ದೇವರ ದಾನವನ್ನು ಹಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದೆಂದು ಯೋಚಿಸುತ್ತೀ ಯಲ್ಲಾ.

21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಭಾಗವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಪಾಲೂ ಇಲ್ಲ; ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ.

22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.ಆದದರಿಂದ ಈ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಮಾನಸಾಂತರಪಟ್ಟು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೋ, ಆಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಲ್ಪಡಬಹುದು.

23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನೀನು ಹಾನಿಕರ ವಾದ ವಿಷದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವದ ಬಂಧನದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರುತ್ತೀಯೆಂದು ನನಗೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ ಅಂದನು.

24 Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the LORD for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೀಮೋನನು--ನೀವು ಹೇಳಿರುವ ವಿಷಯ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವದೂ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಾರದಂತೆ ನನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನೀವೇ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

25 And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸಾರುತ್ತಾ ಯೆರೂಸ ಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಹೊರಟು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದವರ ಅನೇಕ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರಿದರು.

26 And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.ಅಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ದೂತನು ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಎದ್ದು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಿಂದ ಗಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗು, ಅದು ಅಡವಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,ಅವನು ಎದ್ದು ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಐಥಿಯೋಪ್ಯದವರ ರಾಣಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಕಂದಾಕೆಯ ಕೈಕೆಳಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಅಧಿಕಾ ರಿಯೂ ಆಕೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಖಜಾನೆಯ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಕನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದ ಐಥಿಯೋಪ್ಯದವನಾದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಕಂಚುಕಿಯು ಆರಾಧನೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದು

28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗುವಾಗ ತನ್ನ ರಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತು ಕೊಂಡು ಯೆಶಾಯ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯ ಗ್ರಂಥವನ್ನು ಓದು ತ್ತಿದ್ದನು;

29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.ಆಗ ಆತ್ಮನು ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಆ ರಥದ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಹೋಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಸಂಧಿಸು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಯೆಶಾಯ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯ ಗ್ರಂಥವನ್ನು ಓದುತ್ತಿರುವದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ--ನೀನು ಓದುವದು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತದೋ ಅನ್ನಲು

31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.ಅವನು-ಯಾರಾದರೂ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸದ ಹೊರತು ಅದು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಗೆ ತಿಳಿದೀತು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವನು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆಪಟ್ಟನು.

32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:ಅವನು ಓದುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಬರಹದ ಭಾಗವು ಯಾವ ದಂದರೆ--ವಧ್ಯಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಡುವ ಕುರಿಯಂತೆ ಆತನು ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು; ಕುರಿಮರಿಯು ಉಣ್ಣೆ ಕತ್ತರಿಸು ವವನ ಮುಂದೆ ಮೌನವಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿತೆರೆಯಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

33 In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.ಆತನಿಗುಂಟಾದ ದೀನಾ ವಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯವು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋಯಿತು. ಆತನ ವಂಶಾವಳಿಯನ್ನು ಯಾರು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುವರು? ಆತನ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದು ಬಿಟ್ಟರಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂಬದೇ.

34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?ಕಂಚುಕಿಯು--ಇದನ್ನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯು ಯಾರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ? ತನ್ನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೋ? ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೋ? ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡನು.

35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನು ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯನ್ನು ತೆರೆದು ಅದೇ ಬರಹದಿಂದ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಸಾರಿದನು.

36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?ಅವರು ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ನೀರಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು. ಕಂಚುಕಿಯು--ಅಗೋ, ನೀರು; ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿ ಏನು ಅಂದನು.

37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನು--ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ನಂಬುವದಾದರೆ ಆಗ ಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯು ತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನನ್ನು ದೇವಕುಮಾರನೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಂಬುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ

38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.ರಥವನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿ ಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟನು; ಆಗ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಅಂದರೆ ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನೂ ಕಂಚುಕಿಯೂ ನೀರಿನೊಳಗೆ ಇಳಿದರು; ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನು ಕಂಚುಕಿಗೆ ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು.

39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.ಅವರು ನೀರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಕರ್ತನ ಆತ್ಮನು ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲಾಗಿ ಕಂಚುಕಿಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಾಣಲೇಇಲ್ಲ. ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದಾರಿ ಹಿಡಿದು ಸಂತೋಷವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿ ಹೋದನು.

40 But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.ತರುವಾಯ ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪನು ಅಜೋತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಕೈಸರೈಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವ ತನಕ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುತ್ತಾ ಹೋದನು.
