ಆಗ ಅವಳು ಬಂದು ಅವನ ಪಾದಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಸಾಷ್ಟಾಂಗ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡಿ ತನ್ನ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದಳು.

ಅವಳು--ಕ್ಷೇಮವು ಅಂದಳು. ಅವಳು ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದ, ದೇವರ ಮನು ಷ್ಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದಳು. ಆದರೆ ಅವಳನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಲು ಗೇಹಜಿಯು ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬಂದ ದರಿಂದ ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು--ಅವಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡು; ಅವಳ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದುಃಖವಿದೆ; ಕರ್ತನು ಅದನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸದೆ ಮರೆಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.
